  1. I wish I had 14 hours in a day to kill, so I could be this cool too.
  2. to be honest, the only reason jagex had a problem is that too much cash was being brought into the game and only 26k/76k at a time was going out. However if they add divisional affectors (i will explain) based on how much the person who dies was risking. Basically the most amount you can gain is however much is being risked, but as before, there are different affectors of the value of the drop. So say the person who dies is RISKING 750k, if the person who did the killing managed to get all the affectors 100%, then his maximum value drop is 750k +15%. 750k risk (by person who dies), possible affectors: -Place where the fight happened (hotspot or not, how many people are in the world, how many people are in the immediate vicinity that can attack both of you) -Impresiveness of the kill (a large amount of damage in a fast amount of time against someone WEARING high strength armour/amulets etc, with a high defense, gets the best reward. Also based on the other persons level, worn equipment, food left, near deaths etc) -Total damage divided by time in seconds (this is a unique factor, in that this only comes into play if the previous affector is insufficient. The more damage in the shortest time, the higher the reward from this affector, for instance if you do 480 damage in 240 seconds, then you have a ratio of 2, obviously this isn't an accurate figure, but for example it will suffice) -The appropriate levels of each combatant (so atk/str/magic wont affect the results of a range battle, just as range and mage wont affect a melee fight. The better rewards are for those of lower stats who manage to beat someone with higher stats) -How much the person who got the kill was risking (the actual maximum reward is based on the lowest of the two combatants) This would perfectly alleviate the 26k trick, as a maximum of only 26k +15% could be gained in a drop. Also real world traders would need to fill all affectors in order to be able to sell that much gold to someone, however, they are unlikely to do it in a crowded hotspot where they can both be attacked by many people, they are also unlikely to have an impressive kill without luck. The total damage divided by time in seconds may be high, but the levels are most likely too close to each other to make the reward very much in that affector. However another part of my suggestion is to make coins not affect the risk value. This would mean that: for instance, if the gold seller was selling 50m gp, then it would start off as 50m gp + 15% risk, so 57.5m gp is the risk, but gp doesn't affect risk, so the gold seller takes 50m in, with the gold buyer receiving nothing, as coins do not affect risk value. 50m in items also goes to 57.5m risk, but based on the affectors; in a non hotspot with few people, 15m is already lost from that value, taking it to 42.5m risk. The impressiveness of the kill would very unlikely be great, so another 10m is lost, taking this down to 32.5m risk. Total damage and amount of seconds taken, would most likely be close to full, so only 5m is lost from this factor, taking it to 27.5m risk. If the levels are almost identical then another 8m would be lost from this, taking it to 19.5m. So the max reward is now 19.5m, providing that the peson doing the killing is actually risking this, if for instance they are only risking 5m, then the max reward is 5m. The affectors would make REAL fights far fairer, as at current the highest value drop is 5m, but with this system, you could gain much larger drops if you had a great REAL fight. Oh and the amount of EP you have also affects the loot, so if you only have 20% EP, and the max reward was 5m, the max reward is now 1m. So 26kers and rwters are dealt with, leavng real pkers to get REAL loot. Problem solved? EDIT: I just realised that this would mean the person buying the cash had to have the amount of cash they wanted to buy available to risk, otherwise they cannot buy it, and could only buy their max amolunt of cash at any one time, but this also means they are risking that, and therefore could die with it, making a legitimate player receive more loot.

revs aren't hard in either f2p or p2p....

God wars dungeon update: 28th August 2007 Old Pking removed: 11th December 2007 The AGS was most certainly out before pking was removed, albeit not for very long at all. However the max was actually 96 with dharok's set effect in pvp. And just because you didn't see any doesn't mean there weren't any...

Old pkers had more resourceful ways of killing people. Old pkers had a thinking and learning brain, rather than pre-programmed A.I, i.e. making old pkers have the advantages of being able to adapt to situations unlike revenants which have set coding. Old pkers could hit 60+ on you in one hit, a revenant dragon hits a max of 32(?). Old pkers could hybrid or even tri-brid you, and make you unable to teleport, unable to move, deal poison damage, spec you with a diamond enchanted bolt for a decent hit, KO you with a dds combo with a max of around 36-36 damage each time. Revs, cannot adapt and very often can be trapped behind single trees and not walk around them. Revs have very inaccurate melee attacks (which are also the least used move by revenants), their range attack rarely freezes you and is rarely used, and the mage attack is the most common, but can be easily made to splash every single time by using even basic magic defense armour. Old pkers are more dangerous than revs.

Revenants are incredibly hard to kill in f2p by yourself, but why would you ever fight one by yourself? the loot is horrible, the amount of kills possible is horrible, the defense bonuses you get are horrible. The only thing you should do on F2P against revs when by yourself is run and get the rev stuck behind a tree, after a while they just disappear. On P2P, it's EASIER to run away with the likes of super energy pots, etc. As well as the better food, lighter armour things such as spottier cape etc, the stronger armour with much better bonuses. How on earth can you FAIL to run from a revenant in P2P, unless you're a level 3 who somehow managed to get into level 50 wilderness?

I love seeing maxed melee people talking about how revs are not overpowered  . Because revs aren't. Never died to a revenant at any level, never will. Good preparation makes for not dieing  Go fight a rev knight in cheap (since you're only doing a clue scroll) gear and see how long you last. elemental shield - free elemental helmet - free Black dragonhide set - 16.8k explorers ring - free stronghold of security boots - free amulet of magic - 474gp coming to a grand total of 17.274k gp, cheap enough? in fact i can't even use black dragon hide, so take that down to red for me, making the total around 15k.

  9. agreed, beggars annoy me. It really isn't that hard to understand a game and learn from your mistakes. Honestly, even when i first started and had no clue and died to lvl 3 men in lumbridge, i still didn't beg for help. If people suggested things i should do, like certain quests that would give me such and such stuff, then i'd go and do the quest. To be honest, i didn't even realise about food until the dracula quest in free to play. Learning is not a difficult task.

wow another revenants are overpowered thread. -.- -.- -.- Seriously, just use the best dragon hide armour you can along with an elemental shield and a glory amulet.... I've been jumped by several revs at the same time in F2P in rune and managed to get away from them. THEY ARE NOT OVERPOWERED. Seriously, you just need to realise that the only thing you need to do is get high magic defense gear on and pray range protect when you encounter them. Honestly. -.-

  14. If you have a scientific mind (like me) then something is only true until it can be proved or disproved. In this case of "God", unless you have a photo (highly doubt it) of your God, then it is unlikely that this will be proved or disproved. The problem is that religion causes arguments between people with strongly held beliefs. Just look at The Crusades of the early second millenia A.D. I do not understand how a belief in an omnipotent being can justify the massacre of innocent people. Clearly it can't because in christianity a well known quotation is; "Love thy neighbour", if that's true, then does genocide qualify as love?
  15. yes i have done that twice; when levelling strength to 99 and when levelling defence to 99. Both times i knew how much xp i had but i still managed to completely fail by accidentally getting them -.-
  16. nice levels, but the best of bank is kinda low value :? but meh, i'm 125 combat and your total is almost 500 better than mine, so 18/23.76 \
  17. wow, there was so much quiet, i heard a pin fall
  18. 7/10 for the skill level, but 10/10 for total, and for 99 slayer
  19. funnisam replied to Sir_Kurity's topic in Rants
the more common 99s of buyable skills, tend to be of those cheap skills that have very fast xp gaining methods. This makes them EASY. However there are major exceptions to this, such as; smithing, construction, crafting, which require large amounts of cash, and whilst although they also have major experience gains per hour, the consumables cost FAR more and have large gaps between cost and resell price (if the items made can even be resold, depending on which skill you talk about). If you put effort into it, making money is ridiculously easy, for instance i started a week at 9 million gp, and within a week i had 35m. Without merching or joining manipulation clans. And without doing lots of gwd teams (i cant even do armadyl or saradomin) and i don't even have any high skill levels, for instance my highest non combat skill is 71 woodcutting. Therefore making buyable skills easy to train.
  20. there was no need to hide your collection of zilyana fetish magazines... :-# nice bank and stats
  21. well not only would they be instantly bought out by manipulation clans, but the satisfaction of achieving a particularly hard 99 skill would decrease.
  22. This is one of the most memorable threads i've seen in a long time, not only did the OP label particular people as facists, but it has turned into a nonsensical and pointless argument, irrelevant to the original subject matter. \
  23. 145 IQ here, but that doesn't mean I act more mature than an average 17 year old. Maturity in a social context is not measured by IQ. Just like Savants who have incredible IQ and memory, but are not socially fully functional. For instance the "rain man" who can be asked very specific questions about almost anything and give the right answer, but the information does not mean anything to him. It is just a piece of information among all other pieces of information. He also has a limited social function. However just because a person has a low IQ, does not mean they are not socially more acceptable than someone with high IQ. IQ has also been criticised by many people working in the cognitive area of humans. Because it is an ambiguous test, not a precise measurement. Anyway, can we get back on topic now? :?
