  1. Please write that this is the case in The United States. In Denmark its perfectly legal. And there have been no accounts of a blood transfusion infecting the reciever. My father has had cancer twice, and more than once he's had ALL his blood transfused. I wrote a text msg asking his opinion, and he believes everyone should have the right to choose wether or not to donate blood, provided the blood is noninfected, naturally.
  2. I think you are missing some big concepts here. You're talking about rules that people are breaking? He's talking about trying to live. Incase you don't get the big picture here, most adults can easily make $200 in a day. Not $180 in a month. Breaking rules isn't the big ussue here. I think you're missing the point. the gold farmer needs to go find a better job and stop killing Runescape. ...Either that or start playing Second Life, where not only is farming allowed, it is encouraged (linden exchange: 400 lindens to a real dollar, for example) Yeah I have friend who makes roughly $500 a month off selling furniture. He's a carpenter, meaning he sits at home with a 3d program designing furniture and puts it into game. Pretty tight.
  3. Actually, Jagex loses no money, they just don't gain anything. Without RWT they would gain more, so with RWT they lose profit (= money) Gain more how? Jagex only sells subscriptions. One can only argue back and forth, that the money used to buy GP, will result in a shorter stay in RS for the player, due to having acquired the GP easier, helping the person attain their goals in a quicker manner. But thats just theory.
  4. Actually, Jagex loses no money, they just don't gain anything.
  5. At least the other guy knew enough to call them obelisks
  6. Interesting. He's not just paying Jagex, he's got to pay some agency. Which means that whatever income he gets from RWT is being "taxed" by the middle-men. I wonder what proportion of the cash reaches him and his family? I don't want to see people starve to death either, but I seriously doubt RWT is a practical and effective method of helping. I agree. But implying someone deserves to die for the benefit of onesself, and a corporation is sickening. (Not aimed at you).
  7. Isn't that something every sailor has had?
  8. how can we possibly know? We don̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôt have any indication what they could be. 4-assed baboons are as good as a guess as anyones. If you know more, please share. Otherwise this topic is pure speculation without any foundation. Actually, I hacked Jagex, and found this.. its beta testing
  9. you do realize that in philosophy the terms 'real' and 'not real' are very flexible definitions? ;) Yes, I do realize that. But we're hardly philosophizing. And in reality, the terms "real" and "not real" are very clearly defined ;)
  10. Flying monkeys, 4-assed baboon's and and Drama Llamas...
  11. Omali, please stop using the word "real", when addressing thinks "not real". You'll end up confusing yourself ;)
  12. Did you just say what I think you said? Yes Lime, he sadly did imply, along with alot of other nitwits, that he would rather see some people die in real life (something some of you should learn more about before posting) , than see a multimillion company lose money. If I could swear here I'd give some ppl a piece of my mind. I'll tell some of you people something. If 1 chinese goldfarmer could give me substantial, real evidence, that he was dying in real life. I'd gladly risk losing my character and the hundreds , perhaps thousands of hours spent in the game, to buy $100 worth of stupid RS GOLD, and keep him alive. Why? Because I'm a human 1st, than a runescape player 2nd. Alot of you are obviously the other way around and its disgusting, absolutely disgusting. I myself disagree with RWT and using a game in a way its not meant to be. I also disagree with underage prostitution, but circumstances force people to do things they don't wish to. Sleeping with an old disgusting hairy man isn't exactly what people dream of doing for a living, but some are forced to. Don't fool yourself into thinking that these people take enjoyment out of playing a game they don't give a rats [wagon] about, for a "little westerner brat" who earns more in pocket money than they do in a month. Maybe if some of you left your protected bubbles in which you live, you'd think twice before coming across as heartless brats who think you know something about suffering and sacrifice. You can't weigh the human soul on a weigh scale, so stop trying. Jagex updating the game to combat RWT is nonetheless positive, as it will make the game better. The GAME. p.s. I hate coming across as some kind of preacher of morals and ethics. I just couldn't help it, after reading some of the reactions here. It disgusted me.
  13. I think you are missing some big concepts here. You're talking about rules that people are breaking? He's talking about trying to live. Incase you don't get the big picture here, most adults can easily make $200 in a day. Not $180 in a month. Breaking rules isn't the big ussue here. Lets put it this way..... If someone robbed your house just to 'make a living' would you say "Hey he's trying to live who cares." No you won't your gonna go to the police and want him caught. These gold farmers are stealing from Jagex. Funny how you see robbing a house and cheating on a game as the same thing. Do you also have the same emotional reactions when you lose items ingame, as when you lose valuable items in real life than? Probably, since you obviously draw parallels between robbing houses to robbing pixels in such a nonchalant manner.
  14. No you're wrong. They are familiars, familiars have existed in many rpg's for years, fighting ALONGSIDE the player. Not duking it out in an arena like som mongoloid beyblade or pokemon  p.s.. SQUIRTLE SQUIRTLE SQUIRTLE!!!
  15. That is exactly how it is, i'll try to find the Dev Diary that says it and post it in my main post. w00t i figured it all out with no infomation \
  16. Perhaps the obelisk is to summoning, what an altar is to prayer. They stated the familiars are only present for a set amount of time after all.
  17. Totally overreacting here.
  18. Yes and always with the excuse that they are protecting themselves. Thats like an adult killing a baby, with the excuse that he was afraid the baby would kill him when it grew up
  19. 14 of the 19 members implicated in 9/11 catastrophe were from Saudi Arabia, not Afghanistan. Among those that includes the terrorist pilots. Osama Bin Ladin, the reason they entered Afghanistan if I remember correctly, is Saudi Arabian. I don't think the victims take kindly to referring 9/11 as a "nipping at their heels". In fact, that way of thinking is missing the point entirely. Its not nipping at your heels, its trying to make a damn point. Don't be foolish and assume they gave their lives just for an adrenaline rush or they will make their point again. How is it taking the interests of american economy and its citizens into affair, when the american economy has never been as weak as it is now in 2008? Affecting the entire nation and its citizens. Like I said, its obvious that it was to gain another 4 years in office, playing off the hearts of torn victims and people who actually genuinely felt something. Rather tasteless.
  20. If you want to use a fallacious point to back up your argument, then back off when I point out the error, that's fine, but don't expect me to take any of your ramblings after that too seriously. I can remove that whole point and still have the upper-hand in this debate. Your standpoint is that retribution is the right way to go about things. Not surprising, since your country mainly believes in killing people to teach others, that killing is wrong (death penalty). If you want to prove that messing with america is wrong, than have a damn military parade like the rest of the idiots, instead of stooping one whole level lower and actually using the military. I can remove the whole In God We Trust Point and continue this discussion, but I'll leave it there as another portrayal of hypocrisy, written off with words and more words. I don't expect you, as a good american, to take my "ramblings" too serious anyway. Most don't because the truth hurts. And the truth is that your country is on a collision course with the rest of the world. It has signed itself OUT of the world community, yet calls upon its allies when it deems fit, and lables them as traitors when the allies refuse to back them up. Or do I need to mention France a couple years ago, among others? You just waved the topic of Iraq off as something you don't want to discuss as well. Obviously a nerve was struck there. But do like the rest and keep your horseblinds on. At least you won't see it coming when it hits you. Guess you never heard the saying "don't shoot the messenger, just because he brought the message" either. No... It was probably "Kill the messenger, bomb and invade his country and steal his assets, as it was a threat he made, the truth, yet a threat".
  21. Just.... just dont squat and fart... :x
  22. I'm really not interested in why it says what it does on the dollar. The dollar will be gone if america keeps invading others , just because they feel threatened. Just like dictators, america is now in a state of paranoia, justified paranoia, as being the self-proclaimed dictator of the entire world is a very dangerous thing. Saddam Hussein was a freak, and he killed anyone he thot to be a threat. Similiarity is, that america is now either bullying, threatening to invade, or IS invading anything they deem to be a threat. Can't wait for some martians to arrive and put the smackdown on some people.
  23. Although cat is more evolved. Cat uses computer, andrew uses books.
  24. This is exactly how the vietnam war started. Rumor was that north vietnamese had attacked cambodian ships escorted by us navy. When in fact the cambodian ships were shipping guns and provisions to rebels trying to overthrow the at the time, current government in vietnam. If anything it was an act of self defence , blowing up the cambodian ships. Tho we don't need to discuss this, as its proven time and time again that america going into vietnam was 100% wrong. Their administration admitted this but couldn't back out because of Lyndon Johnson's agreements before Nixon came into office. Nixon however used his entire office period to stop the conflict, although it carried on for some years. But the pattern is the same. USA claiming to be threatened and thereby acting in self defence to invade another country.
