Ehh, right now half my problem is I am applying for programs that require a ton of supplementary documentation and I either physically or mentally can't understand when they require the documents. I also mean a literal ton of supplementary documents from a resume to immunation forms and beyond. Along with this some of the documentation is required you get from specific approved sources, etc... So I need to figure out when/where to get them so I can send them at the appropriate time. I really should just make some time and call the appropriate people instead of trying to use email for everything. Only one of the schools I am looking at provides a nice easy checklist of documentation required to be sent with the application.

Granted, fresh water dries up and you along with the rest of the human race dehydrates to death. I wish that homework was faster.

If you're going north then you should worry more about the moose. I've witnessed a moose attacking a pickup. The truck was totaled and the moose walked away like it was nothing.Seconded. In other news I have barely started and already hate college/university applications as I personally cannot follow all of the info required, when it is required, etc... Along with that they all take ages to respond to email inquires, I'm sure due to sheer volume, but anything that works slower than me is an annoyance.

Bonez899's Journey to an Eventual Max
Bonez899 replied to Bonez899's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
An update for a week's progress! I've gained a couple of levels this week although all at bad timing so I forgot to get photos of them. Not cool at all. Summoning is now level 41 and woodcutting has risen up to level 89 meaning only 10 more levels. I wasn't overly active, mostly just watching Netflix or studying while afking ivy in the background. I felt bad for not getting some level up photos so here is a shot of my skills as of today. -
No idea as I don't use, but warning based on what I see with coworkers. It's going to cost ~300 dollars if you want a really nice setup, but can probably be done for less although I would think minimum $100 for the vape itself for decent quality.

Bonez899's Journey to an Eventual Max

A long awaited update on my tale..... I missed a lot of time over the Summer being away for employment and such with very limited access to my cell phone, let alone a computer to play Runescape on. Prior to that I just really didn't have any motivation to play for whatever reason. Now I'm back and will try to do my best to keep this updated. Currently I am still working on woodcutting, just recently achieving level 88 on the daily and currently bingeing some Netflix while I chop away at ivy. In other news I recently achieved base level 40 on every skill with summoning being the lucky skill to be number 26. Guys, I do apologize for taking so long to update the blog and not playing but I'm sure that you can all understand that life comes first before the game. I have a lot of stuff going on IRL right now, so I hope to be playing and posting updates here on a regular basis but things may come up and limit my playing ability. I have just entered my Senior year of high school so I am applying for universities, along with scholarships and that jazz. I volunteer with my local fire department and am working my way towards certification as a level 1 firefighter hopefully to accomplish it before the end of this school year. I am also a member of the primary reserve and have to dedicate a fair number of weekends and evenings to that. -
Lucky you. I went outside today once and wondered about frostbite. (Jokingly, but still) It's not that cold yet is it?Definitely not that cold yet, but our weather just suddenly when from 20 ish degree days to barely getting out of the single digits.

I think the real issue here is Runescape in the relationship thread. I mean of all the places!

Nope, actually serious. Obviously it's not as much as being full time, but it's still a thing. Due to demand primarily. I know if any urban stations take volunteers, and if they do, I doubt it's paid. Found the vision reqs: http://www.ofai.ca/candidate-information/medical-requirements-become-firefighter-ontario Lucky you :P You're out east, no? Yeah, over in NS. Sucks about the vision requirement thing though could always move out to these parts :P. Part of the reason I'm thinking about getting Lasiks though, just one less thing.

Yes, I believe most volunteer positions at rural stations in Ontario are paid. Not sure if sarcasm or not due to the whole internet thing but if it is that is actually a thing. Interesting. I got the feeling that in the GTA and around (within 100km) things are fairly competitive even for the volunteer positions. Yeah, I live in an area where due to demographics being relatively fit, showing interest, and having a beating heart can basically qualify you with the average firefighter (volunteer or otherwise) in the county is probably over 35.

That's interesting. A friend of mine did the examination for a local department (semi-rural) here in Ontario and passed with flying colours except the vision test. Failing that alone was enough to disqualify him. I guess that department must have had separate standards... Was he going for a paid position? Regardless Ontario is its own little crap fest when it comes to this stuff from my knowledge, such as the unregulated training which almost caused a lawsuit earlier in the year when a guy died in the academy. NFPA does sit as a minimum standard, so in a place like Ontario where I'm imagining lots of applicants they may have set the standard higher because they can.

Congrats, when did you decide to go into firefighting? Just kind of joined the department when I became old enough, 14 here to join as a junior, and kind of fell in love along the way. Probably decided in the last year or so to actually pursue it as a career. This cert is nice because I get it free from dept, presuming I pass. Is it wildland or city stuff? I would love to do volunteer firefighting but I don't have 20/20 vision so I can't. City stuff. Although you shouldn't have an issue with getting on, especially volunteer, unless there is a really large pool. I have nowhere near 20/20 vision. Regardless by NFPA 1582 which states medical requirements, and NFPA is more or less universal, you only need 20/40 far visual acuity corrected vision to be a firefighter with like 20/100 far visual acuity uncorrected being accepted. Although many places may have their own standards. Along with that you can actually get glasses inserts for the masks.

Just got an email saying I am loaded onto a certification for firefighting. Now just to ensure I have all 134 skills from rolling salvage tarps, to getting onto a fire truck, and actually fighting fires down. Also nice small 100 question exam before that, but its multiple choice.

Just curiously Muggi, would you suggest it a good idea to attempt a relationship with any girl you spend lots of time with regularly? I.E. share a class in school

Granted, surprisingly the texture and taste are almost the same as chicken. The meat quickly becomes a very expensive luxury product with cheap knockoffs made of actual chicken flooding the market for the non exceedingly rich. I wish that I applied more of what I read to my life.
