  1. well since the US is slowly winding down operations this was going to happen eventually.
  2. wow I agree with mage  This whole situation was rather ridiculous a. 4th amendent while limited in schools should still have some limitations; feel free to search my locker any time you want but your not searching me without a good reason b. her parents were never called; remember they said she might have had ibuprofen, there was no imminent threat that couldnt have been handled by keeping her in the school office for half an hour to allow her parents to come to the school. c. the search was conducted on purely hearsay, while it would have been acceptable for them to look through her purse and such, the statement "she gave me the drugs" from a student is hardly justification for a search of this nature. d. the school's justification for needing to search is innacurate; a girl having potentially unsafe ibuprofen is not exactly a ticking time bomb, take the girl to the office if you want and call her parents if you want to continue e. If we arent going to bar school officials from strip searching without cause, why dont we just give them the authority to do anything as long as they can say it was a threat? Seriously, if the 4th amendment doesnt protect against this we might as well throw it out of the constitution; the fact the court appears its going to rule the school was justified is fairly sickening. While the school would have been fully justified with searching her purse locker etc. if they thought she had something potentially dangerous; this hardly rises to the level of violating fundamental rights without self restraint.
  3. I think we agreed everyone would be trained to use a rifle at long range since 500 yard accuracy isnt important against zombies.
  4. its still being inflated a little, this isnt the type of virus that could actually wipe us out.
  5. Einsteinism :^o  \ :wall: I would point out that Einstein didnt believe in a personal god, so of course a religion wouldnt form around him. http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Albert_Einstein page actually is a great read.
  6. the spear thought was quite a nice idea on that thought, the many people who invented the bow independant of each other deserve some credit as does the person who took gunpowder and made it into a gun
  7. depending on how this works that might be a very hard defense to mutate around; if it does manage to completely block aids spreading then the virus wouldnt be able to have the most resistant parts replicate.
  8. since da vinci and einstein were mentioned Id say steven hawking is probably very far up there.
  9. What makes you think that? Or did you just mean in this context specifically (on earth before mankind)? just in the context of it having been a race of superintelligent beings around with the dinosaurs
  10. idea of a superintelligent race is almost impossible; however, the idea that there were fairly smart dinosaurs is interesting even if it is probably disproven through brain studies. One key thing to consider is that humanoids have a very good body for developing technology, give a single mosquito the brain of the smartest human ever and its not going to accomplish much. Same type of thing with dinosaurs, sure they could make eating a little better but without opposable thumbs (or something otherwise useful) they would still be limited.
  11. because wiping out people with disabilities is much more extremist then most anything you will see on here(except some of magekillrs stuff).
  12. thats an absurd overgeneralization
  13. The problem with your theory on a dictatorship is that just because you say you will protect free speech doesnt mean it will be protected. Sure your council idea is very reasonable, but there is no reason the entire counsel wouldnt become corrupt if we didnt have elections of them and we would still have a dictator who would be able to do whatever he wanted.
  14. steel dragons are an option dust devils
  15. Santa with a hatchet  um, dress up like the ali's in full desert with fez and such
  16. you arent nearly as accurate with chins at 70 and it will add a lot to the cost.
  17. So when somebody retires they're signing their own death? You really can't be serious about that man. :| No. Someone who has retired has serviced their country for many years and deserve respect. No, because I am not a waste of resources. I am capable of contributing to society. When the hell is the last time you ever saw someone with Down's Syndrome stimulating our economy? I fail to see how anyone could accept stem cell research and not this. This is killing people today for a better future tomorrow. Eventually we could completely eliminate diseases like Down's Syndrome and Autism. [/hide] That which is evil in the name of good is worse then what is genuinly evil. If we start wiping out whole swaths of our population pretending its going to work your going to see the reality; there will always be a bottom end of society, and unless you intend to kill everyone you wont stop that. Sure is convienent that you use contribution to society as your parameter, maybe the person put in charge will decide only the top 1% for intelligence can truly contribute; seems like that would screw over a lot of people who are a whole lot more useful then you. The way you put it sounds like Death Note. Killing the criminals for the greater good. However, Kira was seen as a criminal himself, even worse for considering himself a "God". best manga ever, difference is kira killed people who had commited crimes(and casualties to continue his plan). The other main difference was that Kira's plan had a chance of ending crime as opposed to Robert's plan which is just going to involve killing people until the end of time.

Woot for Tom Sawyer... that was Albert Einstein
  22. media in america is starting to seriously cover this, hopefully it doesnt break out into something major.
  23. That my friend, is propaganda at its finest. Learn the facts, not biases. The fact is, is that CO2 is a proven compound that traps UV radiation, and thus heat in the earth. If you look at graphs since the Industrial Revolution of CO2 emissions and look at Earths average temperature, you will find that the graphs are similar. This is not to say that CO2 is the cause, but it is a very good chance, this is all environmental scientists know. Even if it is just a hype, the fact is is that the current carbon footprint we're leaving behind is very substantial could cause problems in the far future if it doesn't cause problems in the immediate future (which it most likely will). If we stopped emitting CO2 totally today, it would still take 200 years for the average earth temperature to go back to what it was before the Industrial Revolution. In fairness, there is a lot of corruption in the clean energy business. If we are so focused on saving the planet why do we subsidize ethanol(raising fuel prices) but dont focus on truly clean energy such as wind and solar? To an extent the answer is that politicians are granting money to their friends in the ethanol industry; the post you responded to wasnt well written but it wasnt entirely wrong.
  24. Got an answer to HP? You have to use a cannon, which means you need to make a [cabbage] load of money for cannonballs. train all combat styles evenly and train mage by maging iron or steel dragons
  25. total possible overall -99 for str -99 for att -99 for range -99 for mage -99 for summon -99 for def -99 for pray also note that slayer would be nearly impossible edit -around 89 for hitpoints; and you would be able to go up a few while remaining level 3
