Well since we're discussing the slayer xp nerf now, can an admin change the title of the thread to reflect that? Responding to my previous thread: Pre-Eoc slayer had worthwhile rewards that reflected well on how the skill was trained. It was by no means a ridiculously slow skill, but it was still one of the slowest in the game. I was getting around 50-60kxp/hr (without steel titan and cannon, it's possible to get a lot higher). The initial introduction of EOC brought slayer xp up substantially, upwards of 100-120k hr (This is for me, using the same levels) with a proper task list. Kill-speed increased, and so did xp. Slayer drops soon plummeted, whips went from ~1.5m to their current price of 100k in a span of 3 months. This was okay, because slayer was a lot more bearable to train, and more interesting due to combat changes. This update kills slayer xp for a lot of monsters. I'll use steel dragons as an example. EOC Introduction - Steel dragons are 398 xp/kill. They go down fairly easily and give some of the best slayer xp/hr in game EOC Accuracy/Defense Changes - Steel dragons are 398 xp/kill. They are [bleep]ing impossible to down without anything but top-tier weapons, most people skip them completely. EOC Accuracy/Defense Tweak - Steel dragons are 398 xp/kill. They are doable, although at a relatively slower rate. They give good slayer xp, but not quite as much. EOC Hidden Update - Steel Dragons are 200 xp/kill. Low xp coupled with unnecessary difficulty makes this task complete garbage now. This same trend can be seen for a lot of monsters, most notably: ganodermic creatures, mithril dragons (still impossible to do unless you have virtus/access to overloads), strykewyrms, and others.

still curious, do you guys think f2p monsters will now drop charms? I doubt summoning will be trainable past the charms that the quest gives you.

Just killed it at maxed combat, god the thing is annoying. It has a large amount of health, but it burrows away every few hits, so you just end up running around the cave for 4-5 mins trying to find the damn thing.

Suomi, have you ever considered starting DIY account (Do it yourself)? I.e, the only way you can get anything in the game is through your own character, no trading or anything like that. I know of a few players who do that and it's pretty impressive to see them get to high levels all on their own. EIther way, congratulations on nearly getting to your goal, hopefully you'll be able to relax and enjoy the game more after.

Quick Pointer: Handcannon is LOADS better than Rune 2h, is the same speed, is cheap to use (with abilities you can manage shooting 1 shot every 5-6 abilities, more if you are good at managing them), and is better than Karils. Think about it.

First off here are some stats: 85att/85 str 96 Def 99 Range 99 Mage 70 Pray No Access to Curses/Chaotics/Extreme Pots at the moment. Gear: Have level 70 equipment (Barrows) for mage/range/melee, but I could buy 1 piece of whatever GWD set is necessary to get protection Every 70 equivalent of attack style i.e : ZS, SS, Vine Whip, Polypore Staff (seeing as most bosses need mage should I save for ABS instead?) Just want to make more gp, so I wanna do a bit of boss hunting. It'd be in a group since I don't have the skills/gear to solo well enough. Any tips guys?

Just curious, asking this around different forums to see how different sets of people view wealth in this game.

I have no idea where you're pulling this from, I think it's a lot more reasonable to argue that the majority of players cannot afford the highest tiered armours. Getting to the 100m+ GP thresh-hold isn't easy when you don't have great starting capital/skills. The people on these sorts of forums tend to be more dedicated RS fans, and would naturally have more money since they are heavily invested into the game compared to your regular player who may not play enough/have the knowledge to be "super efficient".

Man, I just tried pking in f2p for the first time today... how on earth do you do it at higher cb levels? Everyone I was winning against would safe, and then when they ran out of food they would start to run away. I'm currently ranging with a maple bow (sighted), and using a rune 2h for higher hits, should I switch up my tactics?

Is there an F2P dungeoneering clan that I could join? Only 40 dg at the moment, but I'm 106 cb with all skills higher than 50.

Just wondering, do your reports have priority due to you being a PMod? I've done the same thing as you, reporting FM bots that I've encountered. After monitoring these bots for a few days, I rarely if ever see any action taken against them (1 out of 25 reported disappeared off the highscores).

I'll probably be able to wear the 10 year cape by the time this one actually gets released.

Some of the best money in the game is MHing, so you could try killing Nex/TDs/Frosts. Drumgun camped abby demons for months at a time to get money, but I have no idea how much an hour that would be. I think in the nex thread it was found to average out at around 10m/h. Since you're going for 200m slayer, that should net you quite a bit of money, especially with new rare drop table. Anyways, good luck!

Just wondering, why did you train your att/str/range/mage to such odd levels? Quest requirements?

You should be able to put godswords in your quiver and be able to shoot them with the handcannon, every shot, their special automatically activates.
