KBD with GS?
I'm about 80% sure it is possible, but not practical.

mage 97-99 help
Get a mud staff, some unstrung gold amulets, and 2x the amount of astrals as amulets. So for every1k amulets, you need 2k astrals. Then just set your spellbook to lunar, click the spell, and watch it go. When you're done sell your amulets to the rouge in Varrock. He'll buy them for minimum G.E. price.

udpate frequency
When the updates were once a week they were so predictable. Hopefully now I won't be able to say "Oh, look! It's Tuesday. Update today." That was boring. What would be even better would be no behind the scenes. Updates would be so much better if I didn't know when and what they are.

If you're not going to be bursting or barraging; stringing jewelry would be the most efficient. Not only is it fast, it's also partially AFK-able.

1 itemers on PVP worlds.
Well it is a spawn point; you should expect some 1-iteming. But what the current level is at is ridiculous. I would've expected the 'rage' to die down in a week or so. I agree with a time limit after death, but what about a death limit? Something that reasonable pkers won't exceed, but 1-itemers would. That way, real pkers don't have to wait 2 minutes before going back in.

What time to get stats
Like most have said; about a year to two years depending on how efficient you are. But may I ask why you want to know this?

Slayer Sucks
True. But approximations are better than nothing. There are just too many variables to get an accurate representation of the data here.

Slayer Sucks
Somewhat revised version. The other two still seemed correct to me. If you value magic xp and charms Slayer & string-----------------Lobs---------------------monkeys jewelry 40 crim. charms p/h-------------161 crim p/h 80k combt xp p/h-----------------------------------------100k cmbt xp p/h 130k mage xp p/h----------------180k p/h +100k p/h-------------------------713,874gp p/h----------40k p/h String jewelry also loses about 554,364gp p/h 1 hr 65k mage xp---------------------------------------------90k mage xp 20 crim-------------------------------------------------80 crim 40k cmbt------------------------------------------------50k cmbt xp -227,182gp--------------------------------------------- -376,937gp .69 hrs to get 90k mage xp ------- .5 hr- Same time 2 hrs to get 80 crim ------- .5 hr- Same time 160k melee xp attained whilst gathering charms ---- 1.6 hrs to gain 160k melee xp Total -182,511gp-------------- -440,937gp 2.69 hrs spent ------- 2.1 hrs spent 258,426gp difference _________ .59 hr difference 438,010gp p/h Conclusion: If you value magic experience and you make over 440K p/h slayer is less effecient. I'm probably missing some huge part of the math here that's making this completely wrong. I have little faith in my ability to not make careless mistakes that screw up the whole thing.

Yea, I was assuming I had made a couple mistakes . And if you're assigning any value to slayer experience slayer will always be the better choice .

Slayer Sucks
The columns are a bit sloppy, I know. As long as you can still read it, it's fine. If it's hard to understand I'll do my best to try to explain it. All of these numbers are for slaying without a cannon. Slayer vs Monkeys If you value magic xp and charms Slayer & string-----------------Lobs---------------------monkeys jewelry 40 crim. charms p/h-------------161 crim p/h 80k combt xp p/h-----------------------------------------100k cmbt xp p/h 130k mage xp p/h----------------180k p/h +100k p/h-------------------------713,874gp p/h----------40k p/h -534,894gp p/h In 1 hr 65k mage xp---------------------------------------------90k mage xp 20 crim-------------------------------------------------80 crim 40k cmbt------------------------------------------------50k cmbt xp -227,182gp----------------------------------------------376,937gp .69 hrs to get 90k mage xp ------- .5 hr- Same time 269,076gp spent ----------- 376,937gp spent 2 hrs to get 80 crim ------- .5 hr- Same time 160k melee xp attained whilst gathering charms ---- 1.6 hrs to gain 160k melee xp 200k gp gained ---------------- 64k gp lost TOTAL 69,076gp lost---------------- 440,937gp lost 2.69 hrs spent ------- 2.1 hrs spent 371,861gp difference .59 hr difference Conclusion: If you value magic experience and you make over 620K p/h slayer is less effecient. I think I did something wrong here. I'll be going over this section again later. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However, if you don't value magic experience, but you do value charms... 80k cmbt ------ 78k 40 crim ------ 40 crim +100k ------ -180k approximately 1 hr ------ 1 hr Slayer>monkeys and lobs if you don't value magic xp Change lobs for fiend-assuming 100 charms p/h with no -costs 100 charms is attainable through dharok's and void w/ piety 80k cmbt ----- 60k cmbt + 6.8k cmbt=66.8k cmbt 40 crim ----- 40 crim +100k ----- -24k 1 hr 1 hr Conclusion: If you don't value magic experience, but do value charms, slayer is more effecient. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However, if you don't value charms... 80k cmbt ----- 100k cmbt +100k ----- -40k 1 hr ----- 1 hr .8 hrs (48 minutes) to get 80k cmbt 12 minutes to gain 140k 140k*5=700k Explanation: 12 minutes is 1/5 of an hour. What you need to make in 12 minutes is 140k. Making 140k in 12 minutes is equivalent to making 700k in one hour. Conclusion: If you can make over 700k p/h zombie monkeys are better xp. Unless you have a large 700k+ income. Slayer is better in ALL cases. This data surprised me greatly. I'll be making some later revisions. This is more of a rough draft, so constructive comments about it, please

Do you follow the PKing "Honor Code?"
If it is a pre-arranged deathmatch, I won't leave, overhead pray, or safe to the extreme. I'll use most tactics to my advantage unless it's only pro-longing the fight. On the other hand; if I start fighting someone in the wilderness and they're a total [wagon] (trash-talking, tagging, etc.), I'll just pray and run or teleport. I will rush and I will safe to some degree sometimes. I gave more than one example as to where I don't follow this "honor code" so...

PvP "safing"
[hide=] [/hide] Very eloquent. Good job =D>.

PvP "safing"
The very reason why skillers don't need to PvP. No mutual respect for fighters whatsoever. Safing? Dumb to do. Food noob? Didja pull that one out of your [wagon]? Pray noob? No one will fight you, have fun resorting to rushing and being hated. Poorer pkers? Poorer pkers are the ones who use these cheap and irritating tactics such as praying and tabbing out. Stereotyping the skillers as half-wits who have no idea how to pk? Good for you . I have no problem against skillers, only the stupid ones that try to pk when they can't. Know what's funny? All the time I see the "prayer noob" insult and their ilk thrown around, it always seems to be coming from the mouth of one of the skillers turned wannabe-pkers. It's deplorable. Hell, I've even been called a 'shark noob' :wall: . I asked him why it was stupid to use sharks and he said because you didn't fish them yourself. Is not the stupidest pking insult you've ever heard? Seriously. It isn't "cool" to trash-talk everyone and anyone you see. There's a 7-letter word called 'respect', learn it. Most people don't like fighting people who have absolutely no idea how to pk (those who overhead pray the whole fight, safe constantly, etc.). If you're going to rush, safe over half hp, or overhead pray, I won't hesitate to teleport away right that instant. You're not worth the time for me to fight you.

Jewelry-Buying NPC?
First, you need to go into the wilderness up in rouge's castle with jennica's ring. There should be a broom inside the fence outside at the back of the castle. Go 3 steps east and operate the ring. Go inside the castle and close the cell doors. Go back to the real world and go through the now open cell doors and talk to the rouge. Then go to Varrock. There's a house below the ranging shop and west of the magic shop, that has an upper and lower portion. Go into the upper portion and use all noted jewelry you want to sell on the rouge.

PvP "safing"
This. But also, with the huge numbers some weapons are able to hit you for, I have nothing against you if you eat when you get to half hp. The damage done by some things is absolutely ridiculous. You need to be above 95 hp, or incredibly lucky, if you want to stand a chance of not getting almost instantly 3-hitted by a blitz and dark bow. What I'm saying is: if you're in no danger of getting rushed by some ludicrously powerful special, eating above half hp just takes away from the time you have attacking someone. If you're not attacking someone, you can't kill them.

Slayer Sucks
That was just Attack/Strength/Defence experience. I say melee instead as you can train Attack, Defence or Controlled (Abyssal Whip). As In my previous post, in the hide tag, that shows experience rates with piety and maxed stats. Iron Dragons give 17k Slayer xp per hour or up to 19k with Dragon Slayer gloves. Since that is single combat, no combat familiar is being used, resulting in 68-76k melee xp/h. Ok, first off 68k should be considered the absolute max experience attainable there. The dragon slayer gloves give you 10% more slayer experience, but the same kills/h as barrows gloves. Secondly, maxed combat shouldn't be used as a guide to the xp/h for people who are worried about the most efficient ways to get to 99 you wouldn't be training past 99 if you're just in it to max. For someone who is not maxed combat (say, 97 all) and isn't as efficient at killing things, 60k per hour would be reasonably possible.

how to train magic from 78-90
Do what you did to get to 78 to get to 80. Then use string jewelry. It's about 4.15 gp/xp and a bit more than twice as fast as alching, but only a little less xp than bursting. At current prices, it would cost about 13.9m to get to 90 from 80.

Duel Tournaments - Underrated?
Well, tournaments are decent money-makers, if there are any going on :( . Most times I'm there it gets to about 15 seconds left and then the registrar abruptly closes. When that doesn't happen, it's easy enough to win them if you're marginally lucky, and have a little bit of tactics.

Slayer Sucks
I wasn't making anything up, 65k was the melee xp/h not Slayer, and I am sure I said over 65k also  . You can get maybe 18-19k Slayer xp/h from meleeing, but I have them blocked anyway. Was just using them as an example, as every task extrcept for Mithril Dragons you can get over 65k melee xp/h Unless you're counting hp experience as well, it takes a far stretch of the imagination to see someone getting 65k p/h at iron dragons. I don't agree with all but one task being over 65k p/h, but it's true that most of them are. I never said it was an average. If you read the past few pages you would have seen what this was about. I mentioned a few pages back that these were faster than Monkies whilst on Slayer, and said it could get over 100k melee xp/h without a combat familiar. Compfreak847 refused to acknowledged that and said you'd be lucky to get 80k per hour, and that they were in no way, shape, or form better than Monkies. Was just intending to prove comp wrong there. Also thanking for agreeing with me - "it still averages to about 65-70k per hour." That is what I have been saying this whole time, and he refuses to believe that also. I obviously misinterpreted the meaning of that post. I thought you were saying something along the lines of: "slayer is so much better because you get more xp than zombie monkeys in one task." And trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Castle wars 2008
Very good guide. I learned a couple things from this, which can't be said for most guides. So... 10/10.

Slayer Sucks
65k per hour isn't really that high. That rate can even be achieved on Iron drags for God's sake, why do you keep saying it is high? I also never said 20k per hour comes from the cannon either. I said it was about 8.75k. Slayer experience has to stay in the equation as you do also receive it. As for the rarity of cannonable tasks... out of the 24 he assignes, 12 are cannonable. 50% isn't very rare . 65k at iron dragons? How the hell did you get rates like that? That's about 370 or so per hour. Next time you're going to make something up, make it believable. Experience per hour is an average. Unless you're getting dust devils more that once every third task, it still averages to about 65-70k per hour.

Forget this degrade BS, F2P now deserves dragon weapons...
Ftp is a glorified demo. But yes, the ko potential in ftp is fairly low at high levels. Maybe something less than dragon.

New Max Hits [again]
Maybe. People paid 20+ mil for bandos' marginal strength bonus. Although, the fact that these only last an hour might deter this activity from becoming commonplace.

Rare demand once again?
Slightly. But, since the new pking will possibly create an "item sink" (items disappear, random drops are dropped. Die with armor, it's gone forever.) People could possibly be spending more on barrows, potions, etc. Therefore, they have less to spend on rares.
