  1. Well, that's a bit unfortunate. The only grade I've gotten low enough to compare was a 5%, but it was on a test on the first day of school to see how much we already knew, so it didn't count :3

  2. That's interesting; I've always regarded thuh more formal than thee. Now that I think about it, I believe I'm wrong and you're right o.O
  3. I just use whichever sounds right at the moment. I tend to use thuh more often though.
  4. x^deathdrow + 2x - 8 = 0

    x^deathdrow + 4x - 2x - 8 = 0

    x^deathdrow + 4x - 2(x-4) = 0

It appears you are unfactorable :'(

    Today...

Learned White Christmas on Piano, it was a lot easier than I expected. It took thirty minutes to learn
  6. Hi... ya like carrots?

  7. White Christmas by Bing Crosby I want Christmas, now!
  8. I can't tell, are you quoting I Belong to You in the title? Regardless, that is a great piece! The only thing I would improve is the cloudy hearts; I can't tell if they're supposed to be firm or light and airy... EDIT: Nevermind, no you're not, I Belong to You says, "You are my Muse," not ," Be my Muse." :P

    Today...

Today I made my first official 3D object. I uploaded it to my gallery, which people should totally check out! ... Well, once the image gets approved.
  10. Attraction is all about elitism. In the wild the female doesn't choose the male that lost the battle, and in our society the girl doesn't choose the guy that is less appealing overall (aesthetics/intelligence/mentality). However most people don't see it as being perfect, just better than the next guy.
  11. I ate all the good candy out of the bowl before the trick or treaters came, so I'm happy.
  12. Do you guys have any advice on getting over jealousy? For the most part I'm indifferent as a brick, but whenever I see a girl I like quite a bit flirting with another guy I flip like a switch. I don't know how to control it either. The worst part is when it's really bad I can realize it but can't do anything about it. I know it sounds stupid, but that's how it works and I hate it. I've tried to fight it for years now but nothing actually worked. I've been terrified since last summer when my jealousy reached it's high point and caused me to act extremely immature and I nearly lost two friends and nearly became suicidal. It's terrible, I'm sitting in my room thinking, "Why the [bleep] do I care so much?!" then minutes later flipping out because I'm worried she's talking with another guy. I hate this because I haven't made ANY progress on fixing it and I don't know when it's going to happen again. I know most of you can't give advice that will actually help me since it's a battle I have to fight on my own, but it would be nice if anyone had tips backed up by psychological research, or knowledge of where to find such information.
  13. Sounds weak. I'm glad they didn't put it on the album.
  14. Muse - Butterflies and Hurricanes The Fall of Troy - Nobody's Perfect Cirque du Soleil - Icare Yes, I realize how decisive I am
  15. I'm terrible at debating but I like reading/listening to them. However it's very annoying when someone else is trying to argue and you don't want to <.<
  16. I like the burrowing idea. Munchmunchmunchmunchmunchmunchmunch!
  17. Exactly! However, some of the general education courses don't fulfill that. Most standard history classes are simply memorization courses; with the exception of my AP European History class last year, which forced me to actually think pretty hard. A lot of the coursework was analyzing difficult documents from hundreds of years ago, however the exam was mostly just memorization... and a lot of it. My teacher didn't prepare my class for the exam at all (I got a 1 >.>), and her quizzes and tests were only memorization challenges as well, but the work itself really made me think. What I think is wrong with the educational system is the teaching to the test. All students in my county are forced to write a 5-8 page research paper their Junior year of high school and if they fail it, they can't graduate until they re-do it with a passing paper. My AP English teacher pretty much told us the first week of school that our goal is to meet the minimum requirements of the paper (simple things like you must have 6 sources, follow concrete detail > commentary > commentary sentence structure, correctly cited sources, etc. ) because there isn't any benefit to doing any better. While that's logical, that's not the type of thinking teachers should be teaching students. Most courses taught by lazy teachers only teach material covered in the final exam. They don't care if the students actually learn anything, they just want the students to memorize the content of the exam and pass it. Very rarely will teachers actually try to make their students think.
  18. So far the only thing that's scared me in this thread. The bird mask just messes with your mind, man...
  19. My school's also partnered with Microsoft so I get it for free, but I haven't upgraded from XP yet because I've only 512mb of RAM. I'm also too lazy to move everything to an external hard drive and back :P But I'll probably get some more RAM and install it by Christmas.
  20. Your style's very interesting, Omaramo. It isn't initially appealing, but it's very fun to study and notice the details. I like how it's organized yet random... Do you have any more of this vexel work?
  21. Misfile is a pretty decent manga-style comic. It's a serious comic and has a great story. If you're planning on having a serious comic, you should really get your storyline down before you start anything. I honestly think you should start over. It's fine if you want to have a manga-style half serious half funny comic, and if you want to keep the story that's fine, but it's really confusing right now. You need to re-do it from the beginning and make sure the story is clear enough for a 10 year-old to follow it. Although I suggest you re-do it and make sure you stay either serious or funny, because half and half is too difficult to pull off. That's why you don't see it very often.

    Today...

I just remembered! One of the colleges I visited in Florida was Full Sail University, and I think you should take a look at them Lent. They're a bit different from other American universities. One way is that they have a sped up curriculum that earns you a Bachelor's degree in two years rather than four, but that requires you to be at school 35-40 hours a week! It's also not uncommon to have a class from 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM. They also don't let you take different classes, because they have specific programs you have to choose. You can choose Computer Animation, Digital Arts & Design, Entertainment Business, Film, Game Art, Game Development, Music Business, Recording Arts, Show Production, and Web Design & Development. You pick one of those, and they give you the list of classes you'll be taking for the next two years. Only problem is it's pretty expensive - about $75,000. And they've got an awesome backlot and I talked to one of the guys from the Film department. He said it's a lot more difficult than they say but a lot of fun as well. I'm interested in the Computer Animation department though :P If you're still not interested, you should at least check out the alumni on their wikipedia page...
  23. The very top one. It's got a good focal and great flow, I just can't tell what it's supposed to be! I'm thinking it's a knight's helmet, but I could be wrong. In the one below Skully's tag, the face seems out of place and the C4D's to the left keep grabbing my eyes. Sir Hartlar's tag also has the distracting C4D's, but I like it because of the awesome lighting. I think you need to really only use C4D's when necessary. They should be used to enhance a tag, not lay the foundations of it.
