  1. Arguing what does or doesn't deserve to be at what price doesn't accomplish anything. Tassets cost what they do because that's what people value them at, balance between demand and supply. Sure, you may not think they're worth the 8m, but apparently enough other people do. And speaking from personal experience, there's no reason why I shouldn't buy them, the price is nothing to me and I'm getting a solid piece of non-degradable, no maintenance armor with strength bonus and good stats. Why shouldn't I buy them? "Though, I guess there is some aesthetic value to the tassets (completing the Bandos set) just like how party hats are ONLY aesthetic value.." I already stated what you were argueing against me Plus, dharoks maintenance isnt really that much of a hassle, less than 70k every 15 hours of combat isnt a big ask, considering it's easily possible to make 150k+ in 2 hours of combat. wow, you have to spend 70k out of the 1125k you've just earnt.

    1. Higher levels miss out: - It's so much harder to get kills when you've passed level 100, mainly because everyone at the bottom of your level range doesnt even bother trying to fight you because they are intimidated by the triple digits (so they just run). Then you end up fighting people equal or stronger than you are and it always ends in a stale-mate = NO KILLS, AT ALL!!! 2. Douche-bag chasing AI - The chasing AI sucks CRAP. It was fine back in the days of the wildy when people were running away in vast open spaces, but now all they have to do is run around an open door and your character is immobilised. Your character should directly follow the clicks of your opponent, not mindlessly submit to a "GO TO " command and get stuck behind walls. 3. Corrupt dragon weapons... WTF - They don't have SPECIALS!!! My only chance of near-consistant kill at my F2P level (111) GONE. 4. The Safespots?! - This is a complete joke, all someone has to do if they dont want to die is run into a bank with a few pieces of food left and wait TEN SECONDS. RIDICULUS. Safespots should only apply while the person is completely OUT of combat, so that the victor gets the prize they truly deserve. If you come to PvP worlds you SHOULD be prepared to lose items, if you're not - Get the hell out of my sight. 5. MAGES are redundant after combat level 40 - What should be the most powerful and feared of all classes has been made a laughing stock. Their max is a measly 16, their armor is practically non-existant and bind is a LEVEL 20 hold spell... a level 70+ mage deserves better than a freaking level 20 hold spell. This is what happens when I try to make use of bind: Me: *Casts bind and runs back a square* (oh, I just wasted 50% of my bind time) Opponent: *eats* Me: *Casts fire blast only to have it splash all over the opponents face* (bind wears off) Opponent: *continues attacking me, taking my health down by nearly a half* Me: *Casts bind - but it splashes* Opponent: *keeps attacking* Me: *Eat, Eat, Eat, Eat* (is trying to keep up with the damage being dealt) Option One: I run like a wimp (this option is commonly taken, indeed) Option Two: I die - proving that the combat triangle LIED TO ME. In short, Mages need to be more potent in 1 on 1 combat, this probably could be fixed by giving F2P the LEVEL 50 hold spell: Snare. 6. Weapon switching is lame... - Ok... before I get flamed, I know that this is a widely used method of pking, but it's more like design flaw than an actual game mechanic. Being able to switch from a scimitar to a 2hander and attacking almost instantaneously denotes a "WTF". You're probably asking: "But, why is weapon switching a bad thing?" - let me put it simply - For a split seconds, you possess a 2hander sword with the same attack speed as a scimitar, I regard this as an inconsistency. It's a cheap trick that catches ignorant players off-guard. The attack cool-down timer is based purely off what weapon you last attacked with and could be easily fixed if the timer was based of what weapon you were HOLDING, so that if you were to switch from a scimitar to a 2hander, the cool-down timer could lengthen itself to the appropriate attack rate. The sad thing is that many players have resorted to weapon switching because there is literally NO other way for high leveled meleers to attain kills, and even then it is difficult mainly because most players choose to "safe" whenever they fight and then run when they are out of food. 7. SAFEING is NOT the problem. - Let's get this straight, the problem is not SAFEING in itself, but the ratio of health that can be healed compared to the damage that be be delivered. Look at memebers, 4 ddp++ specials are capiable of taking down 99 HP even if the victim is eating as fast as possible with the best food possible. In non members, sure... you can hit 20+ 3 times in a row leaving your opponent on relitavly low health, but they can eat ~1.5 times every one of your attacks, that means they can heal ~63 out of the ~60 damage you just dealt. This means F2P players can NEVER be FORCED to die like in members, whenever someone is killed in non members, it is ALWAYS the fault of the victim, not the attacker (Forgetting to eat or simply choosing not to run away when loseing) I believe that this is a problem that CANNOT be fixed... which is a shame... F2P PvP is so broken...
  3. Servants of the fallen Fighting in the way For their savior's calling On this wicked day Through a veil of madness With a vicious blade One man rises up! Standing in their way! Redemption... Redemption for humanity... (In the Presence of Enemies - Dream Theater)
  4. Jagex doesn't hate pures, they just arn't going to have any updates labeled: "NEW CRAP'n'STUFF for PURES! Now the average player has NO CHANCE!" lol, imagine that...

I was lucky, I went from steel straight to addy with less than 100 tickets, then rune took another 200 took about 300 tickets to get to steel. hey only 600 tickets =] sorry, but I dont share your frustration
  6. That it is longsword VS scimitar, not longsword vs scimitar + DD/AGS ("special is only good if you have nothing else")
  7. Yeah, but you must understand that if your str is HIGH enough to hit in the 30s 4 times, then you could have easily hit 25+ 6 or 7 times. Even with the special, D long just barely misses on the DPS. But, you've got to admit that the special is a hell of alot more accurate anyway. It's more accurate, but in the time I have used it, its not that more accurate. Plus, its special is only good if you have nothing else. yes, yes, but you gotta take into consideration the topic of this thread, lol Which is LongSword VS Scimitar Exactly my point
  8. you probably are. the zerker ring is a good point but, it doesn't have the "effort" that you have put in for it. what that effort is i couldn't care less. not sure if there's such thing as effort in this game. point click wait. call it effort? i do not. Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by "effort", both items can be bought off the GE.
  9. True. But a balanced played is at a disadvantage against say, someone with 90 90 70 stats, or some mix in that area. Balanced players are pretty weak all in all, just pures are weaker and simply own because people are too stupid or too cheap to wear what's required to beat them. Well... actually, I used the combat calculator on this site, and a 90, 90, 70 pure is equivilant to a 85, 85, 85 balanced, doesn't seem like much of a disadvantage to me... (I'm excludeing prayer on both sides and they are both combat level 97)
  10. keh'whaaa?, I've done it plenty of times.
  11. Cacmypants replied to Anselm300's topic in Rants
Just throw them a "lol" whenever it happens. It makes them think about what they just said, like it was stupid. very effective device, "lol", wouldn't you agree?
  12. Bah, you people and your pety arguments... Everyone knows that a balanced player in their BEST possible gear is always going to beat the equivilant pure. Pures get a distinct advantage when their opponent is wearing crap compared to what they should be wearing (that's why they rule PvP)
  13. BlueLightning - Disco Dan doesnt it bother anyone that this thread is devoted to racking up ill-deserved postcount? lol
  14. Mabye because "microsoft" isnt a SEARCH ENGINE? :wall:
  15. I agree, Runescape totally needs better player AI so people can't use cheap methods of escape like running a round a building. getting stuck behind a wall when you've seen that the person has clearly run around the other side doesn't seem very realistic, wouldn't you agree? You're character should emulate the movement of your opponent so that you can keep fighting while they run away and follow them like someone without extensive brain damage.
  16. Hey, dont let them bother you, I've a had my skiller called a "noob" many, many times and the funny thing is - as soon as I switch to my main, the person calling me noob starts begging for money  Remember, "Noob" is the limit of a noob's vocabulary. If anyone calls you noob, just say "I know you are, but what am I?", and keep saying it if they continue to call you noob, they might eventually snap and break a rule, then you can report them, haha.
  17. Tasstes dont deserve to be 8mil... look at the zerker ring, it's under 2mil and that's +4 strength. Tassets give a measly +2 strength, that aint raiseing your max on it's own. I'd say tassets should be 4mil or less for what they're worth. Though, I guess there is some aesthetic value to the tassets (completing the Bandos set) just like how party hats are ONLY aesthetic value.. anyone who wants to argue "uuuhhhh, but tassets are rare..." - dont be stupid, many, many teams go out and kill the Bandos general EVERY day. I'd say that spread across all worlds, there is a Boss going down every 2 seconds at peak hours... That's alot of drops (Keep in mind, thats an estimate, I could be way off).
  18. Yeah, but you must understand that if your str is HIGH enough to hit in the 30s 4 times, then you could have easily hit 25+ 6 or 7 times. 19. Ok, to be honest, I never intended to add the legs (it was like a... "well, why not" sort of thing) and the posture I made is more or less an intentional joke, it looks like it's bending it's back because the legs are straight :P . (has anyone noticed that I made the front of the platebody look like a dragon head? lol) I actually was going to say that, but you did... :) But still, why didn't you go through and do a nice one rather than just 'swishing my mouse around'. I know you have your life to live, I'm just saying that it would be much nicer and easier to examine if you did take the time. It would mean more days to work on, but it would turn out better in the long run. (I'm not flaming or being 'high and mighty', but its what I learned from my art professors) ;) See, I respect that. ======================= (To everyone else) I'll have a better piece up soon, I've actually drafted a few.
  21. Like I said, I fully recognise it's [bleep]ed up proportions, it literally took me a few seconds to sketch up the legs and boots, not much effort there lol.
  22. Dragon long has a much better special than a dragon scimmi though... but yeah, otherwise it sucks compared to it... d long spec has a consistant chance of hitting mid 30s for 4 attacks (depends on your stats of course) and d scimmi is just pathetic even if it does work, 5 seconds with no protect prayer aint changeing the tide of a one on one fight...
  23. Don't be ;) My only complaint are 1 itemers who jump in to pj. I've died twice to them just attacking with a 2h right after I got a kill and ko-ing me. Plus, it's pretty freakin hard to die if you have all oif your best gear on, you aint going down easy if your wearing barrows with an obby cape and fury (along with other useful crap)
