Should Jagex start beta testing with players?
What? How is it more suprising for it to come out in game than for it to come out in the beta server... In todays game we get suprised when things get added to the game world. In the future game, we get suprised when things get added to the beta world. What is the difference...?

Favorite alcoholic beverage?
Jesus that looks like the worst white russian I've ever seen, if thats what it is. My drink: Negroni -- Equal parts gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari. Build in an ice filled rocks glass, garnish with a peel of orange or a thin slice of orange. I was gonna say...

How to drink more water and less bad "Crap"
No, continue, please. Because I'm pretty sure you were just trying to be pretentious and flaunt your nutritional understanding of fat vs. sugar. You said you dont like the comparison, but they arent making a comparison. The commercial doesn't say "Drinking a soda has the same nutritional impact as drinking this huge glass of fat!" They just want to disgust you.

Demoliboy's top 10 boss fight in all gaming
The one handed drumroll is a parlour trick of us percussionists. People think its incredible, but it is unbelievably simple to do for anyone whos been playing the drums for a year or more. Anyway, nice list. You should play Shadow of the Colossus some time.

How to drink more water and less bad "Crap"
What ads? I'm actually kind of curious. BTW, stop eating carbs for a month or so, and you'll no longer find fat repulsive. (<-Anecdotal experience, although confirmed by others). http://www.greenmuze.com/nurture/health/1980-drinking-liquid-fat-soda.html Funny, but I don't like the comparison: http://high-fat-nutrition.blogspot.com/ Just throwing a link without explanation is kinda confusing. The key thing is that soda contains lots of calories, more than an average person can burn off. I thought it was clear. Sorry. I mean, to compare them is not something that I would agree with: sugar is liquid death, and it isn't because of the calories. The "Western Diet" is innately destructive. The hyperlipid hypothesis is valid, it's just that mainsteam media, nutrition-ism, and Ancel Keys's violation of basic scientific principles that has distorted and concealed the truth from the public. http://www.overcomingbias.com/2008/07/gary-taubes-goo.html Get over yourself. The commercial is just supposed to disgust you. Its not trying to say "drinking this soda is like drinking pure fat"

Anyone help me with some workout info?
a) What I am saying actually is that it can be hard to even LEARN the form when you are starting as a total weakling. On machines, your form is a little less important, and a little less difficult to [bleep] up, so this can give you a little "base strength" before you start learning the free weights. B) Yeah, if you have a spotter or an experienced friend to help you, this can be better to do. c) I would say its a problem of an uninformed/inexperienced person. You might think it would be easy to learn everything you already know, but some people dont even KNOW that they are uninformed. d) Yup. That would be one negative of using machines first. e) Thats all I am trying to say is there is absolutely no reason to ignore any piece of gym equipment. Its all usefull in some way. I use nothing but free weights and the cable station. Just making a case for why you COULD use machines at first if you feel more comfortable there. f) Yeah this is something I always tell people. Now that I am stronger I look at the wimpy newbies in the gym and usually end up thinking "Good for you, man. I hope you stay with it." I never think "GET THE [bleep] OUT OF MY GYM YOU SKINNY [wagon]"

Muscle/Weight loss
Quoted for truth. So much truth. I told my general practitioner about some knee pain I was having and heres the conversation: "Do you exercise?" -yup "What type?" -All kinds. Usually though I just lift and do some running. "What type of lifting do you do?" -*I explain some of my most frequent weight training* "Squats? Like heavy squats? You're a pretty short guy, maybe you should do the leg press machine instead." Doesnt even make sense. Then I went to a trainer and eventually we figured out that I just needed to work on my running technique. Knee pain gone, no thanks to my DOCTOR  You gotta keep in mind that people are good at what they do with most of their time. Doctors are rarely athletes. They might hit the gym every morning for some lazy cardio work while they kiss [wagon] with their coworkers. But really they are too busy and involved with their job to spend any REAL time working out. Doctors just work all day with sick people. And pills. If you want some pills, go to a doctor. If you want sports advice, go to a gym.

How to drink more water and less bad "Crap"
I DO want to worry about dangerous chemicals, which is why I use a Brita... :? I don't really understand what you are getting at. Also theres a big difference between swimming in a pool with chlorine in it and ingesting chlorine all day every day of my life. I wear clothes on my skin, but I dont eat clothes. But really I dont understand what youre saying?
-
How to drink more water and less bad "Crap"
Congratulations. You linked to a document showing that the water company puts chlorine into the drinking water. Removing the chlorine is one of the main things that a Brita does. Also, it removes many metal oxides that are picked up in the pipes on the way to your house. But really, you call it stupid to use a device that removes chlorine, and then post a document that proves use of chlorine. Wonderful. =D> The poster you quoted stated that there is a suggestion that sugar is somewhat addictive. And other people have given alternatives to the caffiene addiction. Unsweetened tea or coffe will more than deliver on your caffiene addiction. Or you could supplement in a caffiene pill.

What excerises to do? Help me set up a routine!
Worked for me means that I got in better shape. But let's stop spamming this thread - I don't think OP has any use of this. What Bloodstain means is: WHAT did you achieve? What specifically? Were you an athlete who added 20 pounds of muscle by doing pushups? Or, were you a decrepid, overweight, out-of-shape person who merely lost some fat and can now walk up steps comfortably thanks to your push ups and squat jumps? You wont get ripped by doing those exercises. You'll go from terrible shape to average shape. But theres no way youre going to become a beefcake by doing the same 3 bodyweight exercises all your life.

Anyone help me with some workout info?
I just really have to disagree. I have seen many cases where a skinny dude with no athletic experience will come in the gym and start using free weights. He ends up hurting himself or almost hurting himself just because he has absolutely no athletic experience. It is true that you could probably start with very very light free weights, but it isn't going to get you a good workout. You're gonna need to go so light that you will hardly be breaking a sweat. Also, when I am doing my bench work and stuff, I know from experience how much I CAN and SHOULD be able to lift each workout. A TRUE novice to lifting will have very inconsistent performance simply due to lack of muscle coordination. He might get under the bench one day and do 50 lbs more than he thought he was going to do. Why? Because he may have "accidentally" arched his back (or otherwise used a non-standard form). Then the next time he goes to use the bench, he puts on the same weight but ends up hurting himself because he wasn't aware that the incorrect form he used earlier in the week allowed him to lift way more than he shouldve. I mean, this is just an example. My advice is really just for completely unathletic people who have never set foot in a gym in their life. Starting to lift on machines can help the novice lifter make the brain-body connection, while safely lifting a challenging ammount of weight. If you wanted to do 100% free weights, and train safely, I think you would need to do much lower weight just to develop your coordination without hurting yourself. And further, I think machines can help inspire a novice to go to the gym. Free weight exercises are more challenging. When you are talking about someone who hasn't even been able to work up the courage to ENTER the gym, going over and benching 80 pounds amongst people who are lifting huge weights can be discouraging. Go to the gym, use the easy machines for awhile, and get yourself comfortable and confident in the environment. While at the same time, getting your central nervous system used to doing some work. Machines aren't evil. I mean, I never use them except for the cable station. But nonetheless, they are a tool. And just like any other tool, there is a time and a place for its use. You dont use a saw to drive in a nail. Machines wont be right for everybody, but it was how I personally got started in the gym, and I wouldn't go back and change it.

The reason the spear is good is for what you are talking about: luxury. You can stab, slash, and crush with a spear. You can only crush with a warhammer. All of the other weapons are missing a style. Some have stab and slash with no crush, which would make it hard to kill plate-wearing warriors. Some have slash and crush with no stab, witch makes it hard to kill some of the many things that seem to be weak to stab. If you just have a warhammer as your bound weapon, you are wasting time. The warhammer is a specialty weapon that you can make if you have the extra ores. If you see you will be fighting a boss weak to crush, and youd like to have some extra defence, make a warhammer and a kite.

Anyone help me with some workout info?
I think machines can be really important if you are very out of shape. If you have never bench pressed in your life, I think it is important to do a couple weeks on the bench machine just to get your muscles a little stronger. Lifting free weights takes a lot of technique and can be unsafe to the truly beginner lifter. Also if you have an injury, machines can help you get a good work out on the rest of your body without aggrivating your injury.

How to drink more water and less bad "Crap"
"Cold turkey" doesn't work? That doesn't make any sense. Going cold turkey means completely cutting it. I assure you that if you completely cut something, then you arent doing it anymore... The method works. Theres no way that it couldn't work. The method says that you just stop doing it. "Cold turkey" doesn't fail, people fail. The method is not flawed. People just fail at the method.

How to drink more water and less bad "Crap"
Try this instead of bottled water. Since you live in the middle of nowhere, I doubt you are recycling those bottles of water. You (and millions of people like you) throw away a plastic bottle every day. If it goes in the trash, it goes to a dump. Once it goes in the dump it never goes away.

Anyone help me with some workout info?
My 6 min 90% Max puls, 2 min 75% max puls intervals disagree. Also, 20 second on ( 100% sprint, as hard you possibly can), 15 secs 60% max puls for 12 minutes continuously, 2 sets however long break inbetween you like (we're talking upto 2 hours if you like) have similar effects, but train different characteristics sprinter vs. long distance, anaerobic vs aerobic capacity etc. variation is the key to health. My advice was intended for fat-burning anaerobic exercise.

I like how you no longer need pouch+shards to use summoning in Dung. Now you can just not worry about those extra 2 inventory spots, and be able to make pouches on the fly.

These are both great ideas, and ones that I've suggested on the RSOF with lukewarm support. <_< I like the boss idea. It would be a lot more fun if I actually felt like I was getting a reward for killing each boss. I still dont think we need to be able to bind more items though. If you start binding too many, that kind of destroys the point of the skill. Though, maybe this could be released in the future (like how blocking Slayer tasks was released later)

Nature Staff + Law Staff are scams.
The 1/10 chance for the staff is NOT a rate either. If it was, you would get a free cast every 10 spells. The staff has a 10% probability of saving you your nature rune. You COULD save 2 runes in 10 casts. Making this no more of a rate than the monster drops.

Anyone help me with some workout info?
Something I would like to add. Many people have the misconception that losing fat/building muscle is 50% about your exercise and 50% about your diet. I like to look at it as 100% of each. Yup, that sounds stupid. But its true. Too many people think "Oh, well I love going to the gym, but I also love drinking soda every day. I'll just do the gym hard and get a little less results." It doesn't really work that way. Know that if you are planning on actually doing this, its going to take a full commitment both in the gym and in the kitchen. Now, I dont mean that you need to do a complete diet overhaul on day one. If you go from an unhealthy diet immediately into a strict diet, you probably will get discouraged. How much soda do you drink? If you drink a can a day, cut that down to 3 or 4 cans per week for awhile. Then when you feel comfortable, go down to 1 or 2 per week. Then finally eliminate it from your diet. Do this same strategy for any other unhealthy things you are eating. You asked about recipies: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=muscle+chow&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&oe=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=7961483249660466062&ei=thHVS_mUFITK8wTNt6jDDw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CBIQ8wIwAg#ps-sellers I love this book. I've gained 10 pounds (of muscle!) in the past 4 months thanks to this book. I love Gregg's advice. He focuses on the stuff that most people talk about (high protein, low saturated fat, low sodium, high fiber) but he also writes a lot about vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. Sometimes, people cut their diet down to nothing but canned tuna and broccoli. Gregg highlights the importance of consuming a wide variety of foods for optimum nutritional benefit. And my final comment; assassin was talking about HIIT being more for seasoned athletes. Well, its true that those workouts you see at the link he posted will probably be too difficult for you. But, HIIT can be something really simple. Get on a cardio machine, warm up for 6 minutes. Then sprint for 1 minute, jog for 2 minutes, followed by another 1 min sprint, 2 min jog, and then one more repetition of this. Then a 6 minute cooldown. (So you have warm up, sprint, jog, sprint, jog, sprint, jog, cooldown). I say "sprint" because I do this on the treadmill, but the idea is just to go very hard on whatever machine you are using. As you get in better shape, you can do longer intervals. But they never should really be longer than a few minutes.

What excerises to do? Help me set up a routine!
If you want to talk efficiency, you should really just get a gym membership. Weights are really expensive. You might only be able to bench like 50 lbs right now, but if you get in a good routine youll be benching your bodyweight in no time. To get the best results, you really need to have acess to barbells AND dumbells. EZ bars are also great to have. Plus, if you cant do pullups, youll need to get on a lat pulldown machine to work your back. The only thing you can easily do at home is arms and shoulders. To get a really great chest, back, and leg workout, you need a lot of weights.
