  1. Unbelievably rude. Maging steels is a great way for a low level to get some cash and magic exp.
  2. -July 08, 2008- Wow! From Kurasks, been camping there for 99 range.
  3. You were right to disregard it. We got summoning. They turned it into a whole skill when it was initially supposed to be a part of Magic. They had Life Runes and such but that all got canceled in favor of it being a bigger and better individual skill. This was all in the summoning development diaries... What I'm the most disappointed in is the fact that our old skills need some serious love and attention. They keep adding new skills and all this new content without adding anything on to the existing skills. The highest herblore creation is super poison at a low level of 82..Crafting stops at 90 with the fury amulet. Does Jagex realize that even the HALFWAY point to 99 is level 92? We need higher level content...
  4. I'd play WoW if I had friends who played it. You have to stick with a world once you pick one (unless you want to spend even more money for character transfer). So, its very likely that there just won't be any good people on your realm. Questing and instance running get really old really fast. Wow could be fun if you have the time to learn about all of the really complicated features and terms and stuff...but I really don't care that much about an RPG. My specific gaming taste is more towards first person shooters and stealth games. I really really hate the complicated crit % stuff and all the millions of bonuses that are standard to most RPGs, including WoW. Runescape is simple with simple numbers representing your armor bonuses. Like I said if I had the time to learn this stuff about WoW, or if I had a good friend who would take me through to teach me the stuff without giving me some [bleep]ing attitude, I'd probably enjoy WoW more than RS.
  5. Victory!  I can't wait for the new bank.
  6. I'd just like to mention that the new Slayer rings were a great update to crafting in my opinion. If I didn't already have 75+ crafting, I would surely be getting it after the slayer ring update. What do you guys think of this specific update? And would you like to see more updates like this? (a high level required to produce a useful and untradeable good) I would love this except I would like to see stuff that required at least 95+ in a level, or maybe even 99, so that it would be very hard to attain all of the "Really good" items in the game." This would give people a reason to specialize in certain skills rather than just going for well rounded skills and getting a higher skill total.
  7. You really missed the boat here. If you gather any of the materials, you aren't making the profit with THE FLETCHING SKILL. You're making it with woodcutting, crafting strings, or just gathering stuff. No matter if you gather anything on your own or not, your profit or loss from FLETCHING alone will ALWAYS be the same. Why? Because imagine you are "self sufficient" and gather 1000 yew logs and 1000 bow strings without actually spending any physical GP. However, you are now in posession of the equal ammount of wealth that you would have had to spend in order to buy the stuff in the first place. I mean, you could sell the logs and bowstrings, right? Then you'd have the money that you could spend on logs on bowstrings to make 1000 logs. Looking at the isolated production skills shows that theres really no such thing as being "self sufficient". There is always the same profit or loss when you look only at the cases when you are gaining fletching exp. Gathering logs isn't fletching, and therefore that profit is not from fletching.
  8. 600k from 99 ranged and I've never been to ape atoll with a single chinchompa. Good update IMO.
  9. Whats the teleport cost for?
  10. When did you decide to do Verac? You left him off the list. And also, to answer your new #5, double brothers is a glitch that happens if a brother spawns when you go through a door, then you go back through and a second one spawns. Just kill one of them and move on. Theres also no need to deliberately try to get this glitch to happen.
  11. Try using the official RS client. Youll find it in the downloads section of the official RS webpage.
  12. Theres no point in using the flail if you don't have the full set. Flail is a subpar weapon unless you have the set effect of Verac's set. For the effect to work, you have to wear all four pieces.
  13. 1. Use your prayer in this order: Dharok, Karil, Verac, Ahrim, Guthan, Torag. 2.What he^ said. 3. When you OPEN the chest, the 6th brother will come. This is FINE...but make sure you DONT SEARCH the chest. Until you kill all 6 brothers. 4. About 1 in 15 chests.
  14. I find the exp to be more than that, like at least 120-150k per hour, though I never kept track. I should also mention that you don't get 1k casts per hour, more like 700 or 800 depending on what spot you use and how much you run.
  15. It doesn't really matter what you use. However, if you would like to make useful potions, or potions youll be able to resell, do super energies until 55, then do super strengths till 63, and finish off making super restores till 70. However, the way I personally perferred raising herblore was to just buy tons of irit and newt eye and make super attack basically the whole way. Then again, when I was at these levels, the GE wasn't around. With the easy buying and selling these days its probably better to stick to potions you can re sell. As for how long it will take...if you buy everything you need my guess would be under 4 hours. Herblore is a very fast skill to train. But, along with this, you will also lose a fair bit of cash along the way. Most potions cost less than the herb that you need to make them, and then add on the cost of the second ingredient and the vial of water.
  16. Do you have ancients? If so the ice spells could help a lot.
  17. ^^ listen to this guy. It's been awhile since I was your level. Sumona will get you some nice points too.
  18. Welcome to MMORPG's. This is how things always work for production skills. You have to pay your way up to the max level, losing money along the way. I've played WoW and EQ and both of them were like this. However, in WoW for instance, there are really useful things you gain access to that give you a nice profit AFTER you have maxed your level. But, it does cost money to get there. You raise the point of how high level smithing used to make money. Yes, very true. But where all did the R2h, rune kite, and rune battle come from? Nowhere but player smiths. Nowadays a ton of the higher rune stuff comes from monster drops and clue scrolls...it really ruined any chance of high smithing being profitable. The ONLY reason that none of our skills are profitable is that they cut off so early. Herblore doesnt even make it to level 90 before theres no more potions. However, 92 is the halfway point to being maxed in the skill...what we would really need in order to breathe life into our production skills would be some really special and unique stuff to make in the 95-99 range. All of our products right now are just used for leveling the trade skills, and even the highest level products are hugely abundant. (and a lot is available from monster drops) I have no idea why even black dhide and rune armor is given out so abundantly in clue rewards and monster drops. Players should be making things that you cant buy from shops or get from drops.
  19. Taking some blood runes would also be super helpful for blood burst.
  20. Train using slayer. If you have extra cash you could use Torag armor, but any extra cash you have would be better spent on a Black Mask! Rune armor would be good enough. I think you should probably use the Edgeville master.
  21. You'll need the protection prayers to do any of those activities. Id also reccommend 60+ magic/ranged.
  22. lol!? taking out the bolts putting a restore there and taking a restore out and putting a brew... just change bolts for a brew? makes more sence gl 8/10 for outfit Who needs to read things when people are as intelligent as you are? lol!?!? Way to criticize on something completely irrelevant and then miss the boat entirely on what he even said in the first place.
  23. Doing's Mazchna for the first 9 tasks, then Duradel for the 10th, Mazchna for 11-19, Duradel for 20, etc, is the fastest for points. Any particular reason for switching ever 10 tasks or is it just to change things up a bit? For every 10th task in a row, you get bonus points. Each 10th task is worth 75 bonus points from Duradel, and the 50th task is worth 375 (I think). The big bonuses are so much in comparision to the normal points per task that its worth just doing an easy master for the tasks 1-9, then go to a hard master for the bonus. However, you can't do the burthorpe master tasks for these.
  24. Agreed. Go canifis for 9 tasks, then 10th go to duradel or whatever master is your highest. So you should get a duradel task on the 10th 20th 30th etc.
