  1. More monies for our economy!! AWESOME!!! I'm sick of all of these people making threads about the economy, when they have no idea what it even is or why it functions the way it does. If macroers were wiped out, yews would go up in price, thats true. But did you even stop to think that everything else would go up in price too? I mean, you have to get the money somewhere right? So if you fish lobsters, sell them, and then buy the logs with that money, it would all basically balance out because your lobsters would also be more expensive. Also, I should point out that the price of bowstrings is influenced by the price of logs, and the price of both of these are influenced by the price of the full bow, which will likely not change very much regardless of how many autoers there are. The only people who buy yew longs are alchers, and they aren't even going to buy the bows if the price gets too high. This then makes the price drop and then stabilize.
  2. I'm not sure exactly what the "best" money maker is, but I would just like to point out that if you want to change the distribution at any time you can, just MAKE SURE that you don't check on what resources have been gathered first. Then it takes you to the worker screen and you can take the workers out of something and make them something else. For example, if you have 100% maple and 50% coal. For some reason, the price of maple logs falls drastically on the day you were planning to extract your resources...no problem! All you would need to do is talk to the advisor, tell him you do NOT want to see what the workers have gathered, and then the usual screen will pop up. From there you can move the effort around how you see fit, then talk to him again and withdraw the resources.
  3. You guys are crazy, you DO know that Level 6 enchant is only like 65-70k exp per hour, right? The exp per enchant is significantly lower in the enchanting arena, otherwise it would be nuts...
  4. One spell does a whole inventory, but not instantly. It's kind of like filling vials, except maybe like...half the speed, but maybe faster than that? Not sure.
  5. Thanks for this. With the right agility level, you can get about 130k exp per hour here. Average being between 100-130k somewhere. I'm almost certain this will be nerfed though.
  6. This thread is an economic atrocity. Just thought I would point that out. I really don't want to waste time fixing the problems, because I'm supposed to be studying, but I'd just like to point out that money leaving the market causes deflation of our RS gold, which lowers prices.
  7. I just found MY favorite part of the update, infinite mithril seeds at the Legends store :D (300 gp each)
  8. Just bought 100k thread soooo easily for 4gp each :D That really makes me happy...it shouldn't be a pain to get essential skill items, glad Jagex finally realizes this.
  9. No unlimited battlestaves :( Also, the only place to buy b-staves is from Baba Yoga... You can get them from the mage training arena too...but that involves pizazz.
  10. Can you be any more specific? Are you wearing Verac? Are you trying to do it solo? If not, how many people? http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=kalphite_queen.htm I assume this helps you enough though.
  11. This wouldn't help at all. The main profit of buying and selling runes comes from the higher level runes. If they don't do it for high level ones, then they might as well not do anything, because those are the only significant profits when you buy from a shop and sell to players. The elemental runes might be like...5gp profit each? If you're lucky? Maybe you don't understand. In our game right now, there are a ton of nature runes that come from players, and a ton of nature runes that come from the store (there are also monster drops, but we needn't count those because the number will most likely remain constant, assuming no more or less people kill monsters because of this update). Lets say, when this update comes out, the market price of natures is 350gp each (just an example) and then Jagex sets the price at 450gp each from the store (again, just an example). Now of course, nobody in their right mind would spend their time buying runes from the store when they could easily trade another player, for a larger quantity of runes (thus, wasting far less time), at a price 100 gp cheaper! Why would anyone want to do that? They wouldn't. This means that nature runes would STOP coming in to the game from stores and nearly ALL of the new nature runes would be coming in from runecrafters. This means that there would be more demand for player-crafted runes. This means that it would start to become harder to buy nature runes, so people will begin offering ABOVE 350 gp ea so that they can buy their runes quickly. Of course, once the price begins to raise, more people may or may not start Runecrafting (in our situation, people probably will). This will put more supply of nature runes into the market and thus keep the price down, possibly below the shop price. This all depends on how much supply is increased as the market price starts to rise. If no additional people started crafting natures (the supply stayed the same) then the price would continue to gradually increase to the store price. Of course, a lot of this could be influenced by outside factors. For instance, if Jagex makes it easier to buy large quantities of runes, then the price raise will behave differently because there is less of an opportunity cost to buying your own runes. All of this can basically be summed up by saying that Runescape's economy obeys price elasticity just like a real world economy.
  12. This is just stupid. I'm sorry, but this website is probably the most popular one for buying RS gold, and Jagex doesn't even take the time to make sure it doesn't get displayed? Thats just inexcusable.
  13. If they do make the shop prices HIGHER than what the player prices are, that would just be stupid. Then nobody would buy from shops, so the demand for player made natures would skyrocket. This would then increase the player price of natures until they were at least as much as it costs to buy them from the store, defeating the purpose of making the shop price higher. If Jagex does this, I'm afraid I would have to question why I am giving my 5 dollars a month to these people who have no sense about them. If the price of nats is, say, 50gp lower, then many people STILL aren't going to buy natures at the store right away. I, for one, cannot be bothered trying to buy runes, in the quantity I need them, from a store. This will still increase the demand for nature crafters and thus increase the price. However, as this price starts to rise, more and more people will be willing to buy their natures from the store, thus lowering the demand for nature crafters and lowering the player price for natures. As this price gets lower, more and more of the people who are store buyers will switch over to player buying since the price is closer, then this will increase the demand for player made....well...I think you get the drift. Also, why should I not complain about the group loot system? I know it's an optional thing, but it still is disappointing to see Jagex work on something that nobody is going to use. Really, can anyone think of a situation in which group loot would be useful? Don't say randomly generated scenarios, because that doesn't exist yet, and I make my judgments based on what is actually in the game...
  14. This month sounds awful. First of all, am I the only one who thinks an infinite stock will only help the bots? Maybe I don't understand how it works...but it seems to me that the bots will just be able to buy runes at a faster rate. Maybe they are saying it will kill bots because you won't need to buy from them anymore because buying from stores will be easier...but then won't that hurt RC? Loot sharing? Why do we need this? This game isn't like other games with loot-sharing. In those other games (WoW) you basically make money off of many drops that are not too high in value, but add up. Also, there are many items that bind to you on pickup (aka untradeable). But, in Runescape, boss trips are profitable because of one drop high in value. In a trip to the DKs, its unlikely that you will get enough axes for each person to keep one...and at the KQ, rolling to see who gets a d chain and who gets nothing? This system is stupid because boss drops in Runescape are all garbage and basically worthless compared to the rarest items that they drop.
  15. You call this "research", but we call this "dumb luck". I see now that's the only problem, a confusion of terms.
  16. Wow...cool down. He just noticed that, by a pattern, we would technically be "due" for a new skill soon. He then asked what other people thought. It's not like he said "OMG ITS EXACTLY 108 DAYS AND THE SKILL SHOULD BE COMING OUT ALREADY, WHATS JAGEX DOING LOLS?" I think he made a very intelligent post (rare on these boards) asking a respectable question on what everyone's opinion was about something that is very important to the game. It's a shame to see a real post get flamed when theres a million threads asking what my favorite tree is in Runescape. OT: I think that we are due for a new skill soon. By soon, I mean by the end of the year, or early next year. No reason really...I just think that Jagex loves making new skills and they will come out with one at least every 12 months now.
  17. This is very old. I remember PKing at the axe hut when RS2 was released. You stay there until the mobs stop attacking you, then youre free to switch worlds and attack AFKers. Of course, with the new update, you don't even need to wait for non-agressiveness.
  18. All of my old friends quit. Then I made new ones and they slowly started to quit too. Any good friends I still have level soooo slowly, so I can't do anything with anyone because they are like 30 levels below me. KQing with someone that you have to constantly worry about dieing is hardly fun at all.
  19. Wow...I'm gonna have to head over there today. Am I the only one who thinks all of the art for these boots looks absolutely horrid?
  20. I don't really see what the problem is...does this actually affect how fast you catch the fish?
  21. RC PKing is completely idiotic. Sure, you can do it if you want to, I'm not gonna try to convince you to NOT do it, but you're still always going to be an idiot in my eyes if you try to PK a RCer. First of all, RC PKing is just a waste of time. I've PKed in tons of places using tons of methods, and I must say that RC PKing is the most dry type of PKing. It involves no PvP interaction. You are the agressor, and they are the defender trying to flee for their life. I am sorry, but if you think that it is difficult to PK a RCer, then you are either a horrible PKer or a stupid person. To me, it sounds like a little bit of both. Think of it this way. Bill Gates stops working to be a pickpocket. He manages to come up to you and steal all of the money in your wallet, and then he doesn't prey on anyone else all day. Would you be mad? Of course. He inconvenienced YOU, and for what? Does he need what he killed you for? No. He could've easly gotten more money in one day than what you have in your wallet. As th original poster said, you could easily make more money per hour than what you take away from innocent players just trying to use a skill. Are you allowed to do it? I don't care. Will I ever have you on my friends list if I know you RC PK? Never.
  22. I actually wonder what his HP level is. I mean obviously Jmods manipulate it so that they have level 1 combat even when they have high defense and stuff, so obviously it is possible (in the coding of the game) for our combat stats to be higher than what our level reflects. Maybe he actually has 9 or 10 hp...or maybe he actually has higher stats. :ohnoes:
  23. What I do hope is that it's not ONLY a lvl 110+ dungeon, that there's stuff to do there lvl 80+ too. An update that big targeted at a minority of players only would be lame :( You'll change your mind when you become part of that minority. EVERYONE deserves updates, not just the majority level.
  24. I have never in my life seen a player mod do something beneficial to the game or its community. Multiple times, I have seen a player mod harass, spam, or just be a rude person in general.
  25. Can they enforce it? Yes. Will they? No. That would be...madness.
