Mahogany planks require 1050gp to make. Plus, 300 gp for the nature and 100 gp per astral rune (which is the average, when buying from the store). This works out to be 1550 gp (which is 50 gp over the cost of the plank at the sawmill. Plus, you get 90 magic exp for casting the spell. The way I see it, this gives me a way to train magic for 0.55 gp per exp. Or, I could sell the planks on the forums for 2k+ each and make tons of cash while training magic. Pretty sure this update is ftw.

My favorite use for the new stuff so far is being able to switch to ancients and use a wilderness teleport. I love clue hunting, so this makes it even better. I will probably be on lunars for a majority of my playing time now.

I really like the new spells. Allthough the plank making is slower, its a great way to get magic exp (90 exp per cast) I love the water spell. :) :D

Yeah...I'm not so sure people will still want to buy oaks if they can make Mahog and Teak planks for the same price.

Opinion on some recent updates
With the release of combat bracelets, I'm not sure how anyone could think Jagex is discouraging pures.

Fastest to 99 Fletching?
You can only cut about 1500 bows per hour. You can string about 4500 bows per hour. Both cutting and stringing each give the same exp, so if you buy unstrung bows and string them, thats the fastest fletching exp.

F2P Guide to Pizza -- new section added!
Not too shabby. If you ever get P2P, this guide would be a lot more extensive, with POH's and the chest in the Lumby basement. Always cool to see people using the cooking skill. =D>

The Ultimate Guide to Herblore
Actually I only find this true for Guam tar. I usually burn all of my marrentills on my altar, ashes are easier to get than tar (for Tarromin), and chocolate dust is easier to get than tars (for Harra). Not to mention, energy potions rule!

Guide to the Karamja Gloves 1 (easy level)
Sweet guide! \ Hopefully nobody actually needs a guide for the level 1 stuff though...lol. Nonetheless, great work on the guide, and make one for the next two levels. :)

How Many Times Have You Beaten Penace Queen?
I think I killed 4 or 5 queens, just to get the Fighter Torso. Someday I will go back to get the gloves (I think :P ).

Decline In Fury Prices
Why should the people who can't afford furys be helped when "we" the people with furys worked hard for them and are now pay for our hard work. Doesn't seem right . Welcome to the world of RSC players. Before you could afford a fury, did you wish it was cheaper?

Whips..merchanting them?
You know what works better than merchanting whips? Almost anything. Train a skill, more specifically Hunter or Runecrafting. Both of those are easy ways to make money, and they give you good experience points too, instead of zero experience points from merchanting. If you ever get hacked and lose everything, you'll have to start all over again if you merchant. If you use skills, you'll have something that no hacker can steal from you.

Best place to level up melee?
I would definitely suggest training on slayer tasks. In my opinion, all players should have 65 Slayer. Dust Devils not only give you the chance to make some great cash, but they have horrible defense and thus give great melee exp. If that doesn't sound like something you want to do, you should definitely have at least 55 slayer so that you can use slayer dart. That spell is something that is used in Barrows, Dagganoth Kings, and many other fun and profitable things in the game. I'd REALLY suggest training your melees on Slayer though, even if you cant afford the black mask. I trained my slayer up to 85 without black mask (because it wasn't our yet :P ) and it is not bad at all.

Farming Herbs.
Not true, your crops grow when you're offline It probably the farming cycles, with a 5 minute cycle the times can be off by 4:59. Actually, I'm 100% sure that many times, when I log out, my cycles get messed up. I think that you definitely lose some time by logging off. Now, if I plant and immediately log off, my herbs usually take about 90 minutes to grow on average. They don't stop when you log off...but something about the cycles definitely gets out of whack.

help on crafting
If I was going to get 99 crafting, I would do it on green d-hide bodies. You can buy the hides at 1500-1550 gp each these days, and then sell the bodies to alchers for 4400 gp each. This works out to a loss of 34-84 gp per hide. Then if you figure in the cost of tanning (at Al-Kahrid) it will mean that you lose 54-104 gp per hide. I won't factor in the costs of thread and needle because well...I don't feel its necessary to calculate that. So, it costs 54-104 gp per hide, and we get 62 experience per hide. That means that crafting only costs 0.87-1.68 gp per experience point. This means since you need 12,725,332 xp till 99 crafting, it will cost you somewhere between 11-13m in pure GP loss. However, remember that if you wanted to buy all of the hides at once, you'd need a LOT more money to start off with, but you'd be able to sell all of the crafted materials back and make most of your money back.
