  1. I have commented on this before and I'll do it again. This needs to be in the AOW. Wonderful guide.
  2. omg...you seriously have luck that makes my luck want to go cry in a dark corner... :( Oh well, nice vid either way.
  3. Hey, how many kill count do you get each trip? Looks like you get a lot, judging from how much food you use.
  4. Nice stats...strangely similar to my own... :-k
  5. Keep it up Alpha! We is teh bomb at liek DKing LOLZ!!! Post our other trip we did yesterday :P
  6. I honestly think it is because the knowledge of the ape course is spreading to the general public of Runescape. Not everyone knows about how good the ape course is, especially after 75 agility. Now that more and more people are joining forums and seeings posts of training agility at ape atoll, more and more people are going to do the course.
  7. Great idea, as I think that dragon killing is very fun and just awesome in general. This guide has great potential if you include more in depth techniques, various training spots, halbred techniques, etc. Also, do not forget that metal dragons are dragons too! :P Great idea, but I think that a lot more work needs to be put in to the guide.
  8. Wow...I think that people should work on leveling their skills instead of spending tons of time trying to find a quick way to boost them... However, nice work, and a decent guide I guess. It's not really a "guide" though, more like a probability report.
  9. I would agree that tons of gp is coming from slayer drops, but I would definitely say that alching noted items is definitely a larger source of new gp. In an hour of alching yew longs (the most common alch item by far these days) a single person brings 768k gp into the game. They don't gain this as profit, it is just changing their wealth from materials to pure gp, which thus should inflate our gp. (I am fairly sure we are talking about INflation here, but I am not into economics that much and we very possibly could be talking about DEflation) From somebody who has crafted what, 20k green bodies? You of all people, Oddfaery, should know how much gp comes into this game due to the alching of trade items. If ONE person who trained crafting to 99 was responsible for bringing 60 mil (something like that?) into the game, imagine the total gp alched into the game by all of the crafters. Similarly, getting fletching from 70 to 99 will generate enough bows to alch 62,959,872 gp into the game. Now, take this number and consider the thousands of people who have gotten fletching from 70-99 on yew longs, and all the people who are currently on their way to 99. Thats a lot of gp... :-k edit @LK1: First of all, I did not say anything about MAGE pures, as most pures are hybrids. But, even then, I did not say that they were more popular, I simply said that it seems to me that everyone and their brother is eventually trying to make a pker these days. I did not try to make a factual statement that more pures exist than main accounts, and a one line statement in brackets is hardly what the focus of this topic is about. Also, mage pures are useless in RSC? They were called "Tank Mages" and it was probably the best type of character to make if you wanted to stake duel (since full armor had no affect on magic). Hardly useless.
  10. The tip.it community does influence my gaming, but I would just say that the whole community in general affects the way I play RS. If I were to play without my friends and without communication with the rest of the community...I don't really think it would be all that fun.
  11. That is a very good question indeed. I honestly do not think that the RS inflation is that awful because I do not have any interest in buying rares. Duke Freedom has a theory that the rare items in RS "absorb" the affects of inflation. We can see this because of the costs of our "raw" materials. Coal is STILL 200 gp each, as it was in the later days of RSC. If inflation was damaging to the economy, the prices of all items would be insane and unpredictable, much like the prices of rare items are. Also, I would like to know how I am the arrogant one. These people made publicly viewable posts trying to insult other people and then make blatantly obvious grammatical errors. There is plenty of horrible grammar on these boards, but I do not sig the posts unless they are trying to be mean to somebody else. I am not trying to make innocent people feel bad for having poor grammar or making typos, for many reasons (English is not everyone's strong language, typos can be a dexterity accident, even I make mistakes sometime, etc...) Also, I could call your post at me just as offensive, pointless, and arrogant. What gives you the right to publicly try to own me, but I cannot do this to other people who have malicious intent in their posts? You will also notice that I don't have anything written in my signature about the quoted posts. If you automatically made the assumption that I was being a jerk here, then I think you are as judgemental as I am. That is all.
  12. I agree. My team has experienced many good drops at Rex, but this past week has given us only 3 warrior rings and a berserker. Before this, we got an axe every trip...
  13. Alright I would just like to take this time to say a few things: 1.) This post is mainly about the fact that since we have lost crumble undead, alching has become THE most popular way for many people to train magic. I am not trying to say that alchemy was not a respectable way of training, its just that crumbling used to be a very good way to get exp within the younger years of RS2. The alchemy/fletching revolution no doubt has cause a dramatic increase in the ammount of gp in RS. This has caused severe inflation, and the party hats coincidentally started to really skyrocket around the time that alchemy was growing as the "common" way to train magic. (Note: I do not care if this is not your method, because it is not my method either. I dont care what you think of alchemy, but the fact is that it is without a doubt the most popular way to train magic for pures, which seem to be more common these days than main accounts) 2.) I don't know why anyone is talking about the price of nature runes...because I mentioned nothing of it. Inflation translates shortly into an increase in the ammount of gold in the game. 3.) We have determined that crumbling was popular way before slayer, as I thought it was. Please don't say anything about auto casting crumble, etc. because the first exp cut came before the slayer skill was even introduced. I trained 66-75ish magic on crumbles down in the magic guild, and I know the slayer staff didnt exist. Crumble got 60-80k an hour depending on if you perferred to fail cast or normal cast. Also, we could talk about more general magic updates that have caused alching to be so popular. Another update that made many default to high alching was the huge change to the charge spell. Charging was once used by the most elite and rich players and got 200k exp per hour (I believe?). I think that Jagex made a huge mistake with high alchemy, and I think that something seriously needs to be done about it before we overflow the banks of Runescape.
  14. No, I know for a fact that cumbling was very popular before slayer, and I remember many people having to choose between earth or air staff. The release of slayer MAY have caused the nerf of crumble, but it certainly did not start the use of crumble as a training method.
  15. Crumble got nerfed before slayer I believe  Or atleast around the time it came out. Crumble became popular because of the abundance of "new" runes (chaos, death, nature, etc) upon the release of RS2.
  16. Yes, there certainly are tons of people who alch because they want to just alch their items. But, I am mainly talking about magic trainers here. It is true that high alch has become a "better" way to train than crumble used to be, but I know a large group of people would still stay true to crumble if it was never nerfed (me being one of those people). Mainly because it would be so simple to put on full armor and auto-fail crumble, and still get great exp.
  17. Runecrafting is the worst by far.
  18. Well, as you may or may not know, Crumble Undead used to be probably the best way to train magic. This was, however, changed a long time ago by Jagex cutting the exp almost in half. (just for a time reference, this was more than a year ago, I think close to 2?) This nerf of crumble exp caused a ton of people to look for a new way to train magic, namely High Alch. There is no doubt in my mind that a majority of the gp in runescape comes from high alch training. Tons of millions of gp are alched into the game every day. However, before crumble was nerfed, high alch was not nearly as popular as it is now. In fact, there were probably as many crumblers as there were alchers, so that means that once crumble was nerfed, we got twice as many alchers. Do you think that Jagex caused mass inflation by nerfing crumble? Discuss. *EDIT* Here's something I posted on page two, hopefully putting it in here will help focus the claims made in new posts. I personally do not think that inflation is hurting Runescape because the only items that have been affected by the inflation are our rare/holiday items.
  19. Great job lil buddy  I'm so proud of my little prodigy. Wish I could steal some of that luck though... PS: Please bring that kind of luck with us to DKs next time. :P (even though you did get 2 rings by yourself last time...)
  20. Me in a chicken suit. Never.
  21. Omg yes....another post to add to my wall of shame.
  22.   This reminds me very much of the toy horse bug. Can anyone say if this is worse/not as bad as the horse run?
  23. I have been gaining a lot of levels recently (going for all stats to 80) and I believe the only stat that shows this message when you level it is hunter.
  24. I am 99% sure that, since he is a "skiller ftw!!!", he does not speak from a pker's point of view.
  25. I never thought I would find another contender for my "World's Biggest Idiot" award, Kill_Thomas9 was in position to hold that title for years to come. However, suddenly there is new blood threatening to steal his crown. krisc6, what do you expect people to do? Join the fight? :-k Most fighting takes place in non-multi wilderness.... I don't think there was a need for that. Hes rantin bout looters. Sure, if a pker willingly abandons leftover sharks, let other people have it. The problem comes when they rush to the loot as soon as a guy dies. The pker has trouble trying to click the loot without accidently clicking a player. he uses mroe time, thus leaving more loot. Plus, there's those people who repeatedly use certain symbols to block a player's hp so they might die. You see, whether or not they physically attack, they can still be an element of the fight and the events after. If your gonna flame immaturely, at least be positive there can be no debate for you. otherwise it sounds more idiotic on your part to be insulting others only to have the tables turned on you. I don't understand why anyone would hate that though...its really not hard to pick things up when people jump on the pile. And also, I really dont think he's speaking from a PKers point of view.
