  3. Then the solution is for Jagex to maybe reduce their power slightly in PvP only, and then for people to get 95 herblore. Of course it might be unfair that these people have an advantage, but if people didn't have advantages over other people... then what is the point of the game at all? I'm glad people are liking the article :) :^_^: Not trying to jump on the 'you're a low level so you don't know it' wagon, but have you ever done high level Pvp? I have onehitted many people, which gets even easier with these pots. Now if you use barrage(46) to ags(80), you have a chance of 10% to hit 99 hp ir higher. Considered my previous success rate was somewhere near 8%(chance to onehit somewhere near 1/320, that IS overpowered. I don't know much about high level PvP, you're right. But from the figures there, it seems like there is a deeper problem than these potions. If anything other than what we have now will make PvP overpowered then we have real issues in introducing anything high level that might effect PvP, since if things get more powerful, it's going to just get silly. So I'd say there's a greater issue at hand with PvP balancing, rather than the potions themselves.

  11. I checked the forum rules, and it doesn't seem like that's there, the only mention of linking is mostly about scamming or linking to Virus/Trojan sites. It might just be an unspoken rule, but it couldn't hurt to add it to the actual rule list. Unless I missed it. In any case, here's the censored version of the first image I posted. I still think the rules on censorship are stupid here, because most swears have different things they censor to. If I say "That guy is a [bleep] because he has a really [bleep]ing weird fetish for calling a donkey an [wagon]." we would all know what that meant if we'd been here for a while. Censored image= [hide][/hide] The reason posting images with swears in is because it's a way of getting around the censor, even if you weren't intending to purposely use those words - they're still there and uncensored. I know people know what the censored words generally are, but the censor allows us to use the idea those sorts of words without having to actually have the bad language around the place.
  12. I agree that putting the potions in as they are might cause problems in the long term, since more people will get high herblore to use the potions, even if there are so few using them now. But, I don't think removing them from PvP was the best option, especially not from the PvP minigames.
  13. See this is why so many updates end up unbalanced, because trying to balance content, particularly high level, must be incredibly hard. You are right that more people will get herblore and the need to do have that sort of level to compete with other players will become more necessary, but I don't think removing the potions entirely is the right way since it feels to me like it's taking something away from Herblorists. Perhaps nerfing the abilities within PvP a bit, without removing them entirely. If the potions are too overpowered or not to be used in PvP is something that is still very debatable and confusing :) Welcome to the forums and I'm glad you liked this week's articles
  14. Congratumalations, person I don't know but recognise the signature of!
  15. No, it's not like that. It's the difference between English and American English. We use Theatre, some people use Theater. Please get off this topic because I can go on for a long time about differences in spelling
  16. Then the solution is for Jagex to maybe reduce their power slightly in PvP only, and then for people to get 95 herblore. Of course it might be unfair that these people have an advantage, but if people didn't have advantages over other people... then what is the point of the game at all? I'm glad people are liking the article :) :^_^: I rarely ever post..but, I had to say something about the herblore article. It seems to me the person that wrote it didn't exactly see the full extent of those potions. Demoliboy, A friend of mine was hitting 53 and more with a whip, not really wearing max damage gear; he was just messing around after the release and killed some gargoyles. Normally, whips don't hit that high, even wearing stat, vesta and such, you roughly hit 49.. He was doing this without those. And the range potions..sure..maybe it added +3 hits, but to a dark bow that already packs a heavy punch, enough to kill you in one shot, the potion helps. Maybe they might not seem over-powered to you, but if you carefully looked at it you would realize they were. 50's with a barrage? which freezes you..now..imagine someone doing that, and running to claw/dagger/maul/ags spec you, because as we all know people don't fight with just one style. They hybrid, and you wouldn't survive. It's not possible.. Anyways, great first article, the inflation is a pain. Wasn't keen to the second but, to each his own I suppose. Well, I wrote it. :P And it is difficult to see the full extent of the potions when they've only been out for a short while and were only in PvP for a very short amount of time. There was no real way for people to tell if they were going to cause real problems with PvP, not within 2 days. I highly doubt many people who PK regularly have 95 herblore, and if they do why shouldn't they get a reward? Also, if it seemed like there was a lot of people using the potions when it first came out, it was because that happens. Many people who don't PK regularly will have gone to PvP to try their potions out. I think Jagex were a bit premature to rush into removing them like they did. Edit: Also, welcome to the Tip.It forums. It's always nice to have new members that can create discussion :)
  17. I've got the energy and want to go - it's the money. Tbh I don't have the money on my own atm to pay for the train there and back, even at half price for kids. (looking under 16 ftw). I'm going to have to ask my parents for money. I've got 2 trips into Manchester to do over that week also, so that's a smaller, but still there, drain on my resources. I should know early next week though, hopefully. I'm from Southport a town that you may have heard of coming from Bolton, and I have the money, I don't have the energy :P i'd have to like stand on my knees to get away with a teen pass Ahh yes, I know Southport, I've been there on Holiday :P If you have the money then you should go! We might end up with a bunch of Tiffers all going! :D Sweet, that's not a bad price. I think I'm going to book the tickets and say I'm going, I'm not going to get an answer out of my parents until a lot closer to the event so... whatever. I am going.

  19. This is kind of how I feel. I can't really get into older anime because well... there are just far more new anime that I'm more interested in watching. Shounen stuff is really really good when it doesn't have an arc of filler. Naruto and Bleach both fall for this epically. I don't mind a few episodes of funny filler stuffs to break things up. I even don't mind when they deviate from the manga, even drastically, (like FMA did) as long as that deviation actually makes a difference - like Filler arcs don't. The good thing about shojo is that it either doesn't have filler, or you don't even notice the filler XD And how can you not like Umineko when we have giant cake??
