took my fed cruiser with 3 shields and good weapons to the boss. Got past the first round but I just quickly got annihilated in the second round :( Not sure what ship to play with next. Maybe enji, I like that ship.

I tend to not prioritise engines, maybe I should do so more. I also really like having an extra boost in O2 since it helps when dealing with invaders and hull breaches as well as not getting killed with one hit to O2. At the moment I'm playing with the fed cruiser and doing decently so far. I've got a lot of crew, which helps. Gotta love the artillery beam.

I like MLP, I love the characters and, quite simply, I think its pretty. That's enough for me to watch something - being an anime watcher I never had any compunction about watching it. I'm not insane or mental about it. Its just any other fandom. There's the crazies and the sexual ones and then there's the majority of sane fans who just like it. They don't want to have sex with Twilight or anything. And even there are some that do, I don't really see what it matters to any of us. Unless its being shoved in your face, but any fandom is horrible when it starts doing that.

Me too! Except I'm writing 3 long poem story things instead of a novel, but still. I'm actually pretty excited. You posting progress or anything anywhere? Not yet, if I actually make up a coherent idea in the next month then I might find somewhere to do updates if I'm gonna go for serious on that. I just told a friend I want to do it and she's all 'OH me too!' so now I *have* to!

Y'know, there's always libraries as a way of giving it a read in the future. It's apparently a very Britishy book and it's not going to appeal to everyone, but I think I'll probably enjoy it so I will read it, but it aint a Harry Potter book release... I'm not getting this book at midnight :P

So I woke up last Sunday, Dave was excited about an app idea he had, and i, in the excitement decided that I should go and write a novel! So I decided to do NaNaWriMo this year and ffs I really hate myself for deciding that I was gonna write a novel >.<

probably read it when I'm done with Forward the Foundation, but let me tell you that charging the same for an eBook as a hardback is very poor. I would have expected better.

I've never really listened to podcasts, except one. Vaguely Live Radio, it started about 4 years ago by two youtubers, nerimon and jimmy0010 and after a couple of years they stopped. And now they're back. It's great, I've always loved vlr.

Got to the second boss round using the stealth ship. I had a really great tactic at the start of the game. I would cloak when I first engaged the enemy, then use the dual lasers to knock the shields down or out then ram them hard with the laser. only that stopped working when ships started getting 3 shields. Even with an extra burst laser 1 I struggled. Swapping it out for a breach bomb helped a bit with knocking shields out but I just didn't have enough firepower to cope with the boss. :(

I watched a few episodes of tari tari. Though it was good enough but since my bf dropped it I've not put in any real effort to watch it, I should probably officially drop it if I don't start watching it again soon. I'm totally ready for Autumn as well. I love the start of new seasons.

I'm really enjoying SoA, on par with kokoro connect for best anime of season (not that I watch loads). Medaka box was good, goes from a typical school comedy to something a lot more shounen by the end. Its not to everyone's tastes though, but might be worth it.

Recently watched films: Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind - amazing, really amazing. Loved it so much. I love you Philip morris - Gay Ewan McGregor, Jim Carrey was amazing, great film. Shaun of the dead - not watched in forever, really one of the great comedies out there.

I found Ef a tale of melodies better than memories actually. Also I love Sword Art Online Sundays! :D binbougami ga has turned out to be a decent show too, not such a bad season. Looking forward to kyoani's new show next season, as well as Medaka box 2 and Robotics;notes, and probably some more shows once the good ones have been picked out.

So I've finished the fith Foundation book and I'm on to the prequels now, there's two of them. Then there's two books set after the main series which weren't wrote by Asimov. Then there's Asimov's robot series... D:

Baaah, I'm not going on holiday for 3 and a half weeks yet but I can't wait >.< I'm hoping the time will go fast and the weather won't be so dismal when I go.

So I picked up Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD since I used to play the THPS & THUG games pretty much constantly through my childhood, it's fairly average. Nice enough graphics but it would be awful if I didn't use Joy2key to map my controller to the keyboard controls and frankly, there aren't enough levels - though I'd probably be a sucker and pay for the inevitable DLC. As long as it was the maps, not some crappy board skins or new skaters. I'm not super enthused by it but it's not God awful either - I can live with it.

Managed to win twice now, first with the starting ship and then with the Enji cruiser. I quite like the playstyle of the Enji ship, focusing on drones. I did get cloak with the augmentation that lets you shoot through cloak without reducing it, so that probably helped. Cloaking when the Flagship is about to launch the missiles is a good way to avoid death! I struggled with the Federation Cruiser to get past the first 2 sectors, maybe I need a little practice with it. I've unlocked the Stealth ship as well so I've got to give that a try yet.

So FTL is a game that came from Kickstarter, I hadn't even heard of it until everyone and my boyfriend were playing it. I gave it a try and I've found it to be an amazing game. Don't be fooled by simplistic graphics, its far more engaging than any other game I've played recently. It has such solid mechanics. I would say more but I'm making this thread on a phone. I know I'm not the only one playing here!

I've only got about 4 hours in ftl and I've not managed to finish a run on easy yet. I like how challenging it is, its not a cakewalk even on easy, but its not too hard either - yet. I'll go make a thread, ask and ye shall receive, langzor!

Urgh those would annoy me as well. We've got our housemate fairly trained, at least :P

People who pile up the dishes on the drainer and NEVER put them away. People who take cutlery from the drawer rather than using one already out on the drainer. People who clog the shower with hair. People who only put a few things in the washer/dryer rather than filling it up properly. pretty much people who are my housemate :P I shouldn't player hate so much but its the little things!

I'm guessing I'm not the only one here playing FTL? :D
