  1. IIRC, I had about 2m cash and maybe 10m. I was never a rich person.
  2. Heading home from work on Friday.
  3. Omg this thread fills me with so much nostalgia, even for more recent things. I miss playing right now, I don't have time any more. Its a shame :( I miss being an air runner, forgoing xp for air runes. I crafted double laws as well, never was a fast training option but I was lazy. I spent hours mining gems! Making my own arrows from wood and iron. I remember picking flax then spinning it for crafting. I miss quite a lot :(
  4. interested reading the debate about young and new adult :) I was a bit 'meh' about the sound of new adult at first but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Young adult books are what I've been reading since 13, about teenagers, not really adults, despite the label. Young adult is where I am now, 20, where it feels like this really is the start of 'adult life'. I was a young adult at 17 but I certainly wouldn't say I was anything like an 'adult'. There's definitely something inbetween.
  5. I don't think that he'd be into that D=
  6. I've had a fairly successful sleep pattern for a while now. I go to bed at 10-10:30 and get up at either 6 or 7 depending on my work shift. I wouldn't be able to do it without Dave though, he has to drag me out of bed every morning. I need my sleep, I'm not a morning person. I used to go to bed at all sorts of hours but living with someone else helps to forge a routine and I've had far less problems getting to sleep since I've developed a proper sleeping pattern.
  7. Nearly finished ef a tale of memories. Beautiful anime. Shaft gonna shaft though.
  8. office space: very funny movie, relatable too now I'm at work. :) Saving private ryan: finally got around to watching it, great film. Loved the characters and the atmosphere, didn't quite like the gore, I couldn't watch some of the violence :( great film though.

    Today...

blah. Ordered a pair of foam insert dance pads since they were on offer and I was looking for a new DDR pad. Only I tried one of them and the down arrow is ghosting (where the sensors think its being pressed when its not). I'm gonna give the other pad a try and hopefully that's better. The annoying thing is its not even worth paying the shipping to send them back. Meh.
  10. I got orcs must die 2 and I've been playing it co op with my boyfriend. Much fun. started dragon age origins but not got very far yet, looks good anyway. Racked up many hours playing recettear. I got to the last payment date but couldn't make it. I'm on my third try now. f
  11. so I got a load of sci fi to read at the moment. I'm currently 3/4 of the way through the second book in the Foundation series, Foundation and Empire. Its a great series and I'm hoping to have finished the third book by the 28th when the new Star Trek Voyager book comes out :D after that either more foundation or a start on more star trek novels. ALL the sci fi!
  12. Um, I'm not allowed to comment on this topic with regards to showering because I started up a right argument when I said how often I showered in a similar topic a while back. I would like to put in that I love Herbal Essences Shampoo. I used to use a Pink hair straightening one which smelled gorgeous but it's gone now so I've been trying different kinds. I also use Japanese Spa Imperial Leather shower gel because I really like the smell of that too. As for toothpaste I've taken a strict line on it with the state of my dental hygiene. I use Sensodyne Repair & protest in the slight hope that it might help my teeth to not rot so fast. I also always use mouthwash but that's just ordinary stuff. As for deoderant I've recently got a new Nivea roll-on which I bought because it was pretty and glass but it's actually quite good. Then on top I just use cheap 50p Tiama body spray.

    Fanfiction

When does this story take place? Harry Potter takes place in the 90s, so MCR doesn't exist, Good Charlotte either doesn't exist or is nowhere near popular enough to be touring in the magical parts of England, and Joel Madden and Hilary Duff didn't start dating until 2004! To be fair though, even the film makers forgot that Harry Potter took place before the Millennium bridge was built - for example :P
  14. Just finished reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - definitely enjoyed it and I started the next one the other day :) I get a more or less an hour a day now to read going to and from work, it's nice to get back into reading again.
  15. This is great news and I'm sure it's going to be a great step forward for both Tip.It and SwiftKit/IRC. Really glad to see the staff moving forward in this direction :)
  16. Chances are he wasn't doing this because he had some innate hatred for Batman. As terrible as it sounds, if his intention was to inflict maximum damage, one can see why he choose that particular place and time. What a horrible event. Exactly, it's the perfect "fish in a barrel" situation. The place is packed, it's dark, people's attention is focused on something else, there's no open space to run, only a few exits. Also, this seems pertinent whenever something like this happens: http://youtu.be/PezlFNTGWv4 Especially when I read on a Swedish news site yesterday "the gunman was dressed like a Batman villain" jesus christ. It's almost chillingly funny how true that video rings to not just this case, but every single case of mass murder or mass shooting that comes to light. The event is horrible and horrific but the way the media presents these things just perpetuates the tragedy more.
  17. Wow, they actually did it. It's the final nail in the coffin. Now you pay for XP and buy items (worth $45!!!! D=). There's nothing wrong with RuneScape changing - but it's changing for the worse. It's disgusting.
  18. Y Very good deal. I remember playing a demo of it a few years ago and totally forgot about it until now. I would like but need to be a cheaper Endless Space - Admiral Edition $29.99 Mass Effect 2 $9.99 Mass Effect $9.99 Mirror's Edge™ $9.99 Unsure about: Still Life Bundle $3.74 The Hitman Collection $6.24 Penumbra Collector Pack $4.99 The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut $5.99 I want: Mount & Blade Collection $8.74 Section 8 $2.49 Syberia Bundle $3.74 Is there any hints or anything that will say which games will be on sale next? I would suggest Endless Space won't be on offer since it literally came out of Beta last week. It's possible it *might* go down to 10% but I imagine that'd piss off everyone who bought it just after it came out since before release there's a pre-order discount of 10% then a week later having 10% or more would be a bit of a slap in the face. Endless Space is a great game though :D
  19. So they broke me. Borderlands Star Wars: Knights of the old republic Bunch of Civ 5 DLC Dead Island DLC more or less £12. Almost got LA Noire but got put off by reports of it being a crappy PC port and if I really wanted to play it I could borrow it from my brother since he's got it on Xbox.
  20. Doing Computer Science at Uni gets me access to their academic alliance thing, and Dreamspark too, so I get Windows 7 free. Forgot that I didn't have to factor that into the cost of my PC where most people would have to.
  21. So I pretty much watched Katanagatari in a week. Loved it so much. The art style, animation, characters and plot were all brilliant <3
  22. Terraria is a lot like minecraft, except more combat based and 2d obviously. You can squeeze a lot of playtime out of it for that low price and can play online, i'd say it's worth it. I've got a tonne of indie games already that I haven't played, though. I'm really torn. It's so cheap but it might just be pointless to get >.< Damn you steaaaaam!
  23. Uhhh I would have thought that's kind of an important issue. I don't *have* to worry about it because you don't need the top-end gaming rigs. If you've got a decent computer with an actual graphics card then you'll most likely be able to play games. My PC cost me about £300. It doesn't have to be very expensive.
  24. Considered Terraria and Deus Ex but I'm really trying to not get games I never will end up playing - especially since I'm going to have less free time from next week on. I'm really going to try hard not to spend - I don't have much money D=
