  1. Our home network, pretty swank. I'm on wireless though. We get 50Mb Virgin Media cable. Later this year we get a free upgrade to 120Mb when they update our local network.
  2. Dear God that episode was amazing. Carl is now back on my 'Good characters' list. I felt so sad the moment I saw Shane die. Yeah he was a dick and I didn't like him much, but he wasn't *bad* and I know how much it hurts for Rick. It's for the best though, Shane has tried to kill Rick so many times now, you just can't keep a guy like that around... I wish the cast, and more specifically - the decent characters, would stop dying though. Why can't Lori die? :(
  3. There's many times I've recalled my parents talking about going on the doll because they work a lot for not much money when, at the end of the day, if they were on JSA they would probably end up with the same amount of money. They aren't cheats or doll dossers by any means, but people who work hard for a living but come out at the end with the same, or just a bit more than, people who sit around doing nothing all day, aren't going to WANT to work. At least not in a dead end, minimum wage job.
  4. The Woman in Black - Genuinely scary and tense. Daniel Radcliffe was amazing (and gorgeous) in it - you can't doubt his acting skills at all. I'm shocked this film is a 12, if my brother saw this he wouldn't be able to sleep for days. The Grudge - The American remake, not the original Japanese. Quite good, made me jump a few times. Not the scariest film I've watched, but it was certainly worth it. The Grudge 2 - Didn't find it as scary as the first one, just a bit more confusing. I thought the characters were a little more interesting in this one. I'm glad all the different plot threads came together at the end but until that point it was pretty hard to guess what was going on.

I don't go out to parties or anything but I've a fair few photos. I just put up any that randomly get taken with friends or something and every so often I try to get a nice one of myself for profile pictures and such :P And I've got about 80-odd friends or something. It's not about how many friends you have, you just need to know the people. Maybe it's because I only have people I actually like on my Facebook, I don't have any problems.
  6. I get this more when I'm walking through the town centre. I pretend they don't exist, and if they block me, they'll get bumped into. It's their fault, right? I too am an open douchebag to a bunch of well meaning college students. Join the club, Assume. There's always some person handing leaflets out for some reason right in front of the canteen. Worse is all the emails they send telling you about the latest AGM meeting for student reps or the elections how we can get our voice heard. After a year and a half it's gotten extremely annoying. I bet they'll still be spamming me next year when I'm on placement. I never accept leaflets unless I'm actually interested. There's a road in Manchester city centre where the all gather and shout at you about God, hand out leaflets, or pretend to be statues.
  7. My University Students Union annoys me. No, I am not interested in your comedy nights. No, I am not interested in what my SU is doing for me. No, I AM NOT INTERESTED IN THE STUDENT ELECTIONS. SERIOUSLY. LEAVE ME ALONE. :wall:
  8. I'd say yeah. I was on a forum once and I found out two members were cybering over PM  That's not nice.
  9. This makes me want to log back in. Those infinity robes. UNF. Makes me wish I hadn't sold mine for Ahrims.

God no. Not Bolton XD It's not even worth it going there :P I did apply though... I managed to get into Salford Uni which is decent, but it aint exactly Manchester, despite the fact our logo says University of Salford - Manchester
  11. My problem is not so much with the courses being studied, but the sort of people studying them. Maybe it's because I don't go to a top Uni but the number of people I see going to Uni just to doss about is extremely annoying <_< They see it as free because of Student Finance and since they'll probably not earn enough to pay it back, it essentially is.
  12. Congratulations guys :D I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
  13. I don't think it fits tbh, that's all.
  14. Yeah, but what evidence do you have to suggest she's even pregnant at all? You don't wait for pregnancy to happen and dread it. You can wait to find out if you're pregnant and dread it, but those are two different things.
  15. The circumstances of being a woman make her extremely likely to be pregnant? Sure, it makes her more likely to be pregnant than a man, but still...
  16. I never got around to finishing White and I'm genuinely disappointed that there's a) 2 new games and b) it's not called grey/gray. I've pretty much left Pokemon - at least the new games. Now excuse me, I'm off to play my Pokemon Crystal on my pink GB Advance.

I thought you were talking about the UK at first :P Because frankly, despite the fact I went to the protests (I went for lulz since it cost £5 for a return trip to London. We spent most of the day shopping.) I don't think we need half the students that are around. Arts and Humanities are fine but to be frank, their degrees aren't going to be as useful as a Science or Law or Health degree. And not to mention so many students are just there to postpone work. So am I, tbh, but at least I'm actually doing well. About half my course dropped out or resat the first year because they weren't able to pass. There's just a lot of bad students around that the taxpayer shouldn't be paying for.

My brother has a Kinect and he rarely uses it. When I visit him and we're hanging out some of the games like Dance Central can be pretty fun and stuff - but if you mainly use your console on your own it doesn't seem worth it. It just makes me think of the Wii most of the time. The Wii is great for multiplayer and parties, as is Kinect.
  19. People using obscure and 'smart sounding' words in normal conversations (IRL and on the internet) when they don't need to. I could look up a word on a thesaurus too, but I don't because it's just silly  Edit: Snap :P I'm also pretty annoyed about the Kony campaign. Yes, bad things are happening, but I promise you that liking some status isn't going to solve it.
  20. I play PC games rather than console games and I don't have a super powerful computer, I run them all decently and they're fine. I more or less exclusively get games through Steam because I actually enjoy the format and the Steam client itself. Forking out to essentially buy steam, which I already have, seems a bit silly - but it's also something that could be a really awesome investment. We have a gorgeous 40" TV downstairs and the idea of being able to run 1080p PC games through it sounds amazing to me. I think Valve could really pull this off and if Valve do something they do it properly, which is what this would need.

I wouldn't say it's screwed him over. It sucks that it's obviously a bad place but being hopeful and being positive didn't screw him over. The place sucks whether or not he had hopes for it.

I get all my funny images through tumblr nowadays. I used to go straight to the source. Also I kinda like rage comics, even if they overuse 'le'.
  23. If you can make them do *that* then maybe I should use mine more often
  24. Nisemonogatari 8...
