  1. lol ur major bumping :P grats on fire cape, gl with all your goals. I'm going to be focusing on combat soon, then go back to my skilling :)
  2. Thanks very much for all the input guys. I'm reading over and collaborating ideas atm, once I have decided on something that balances it out I'll update the first post :) if you have any more ideas please post them! And Hawkxs, the artwork :P
  3. Good luck with those long and short term goals, nice avatar btw ;)
  4. I'd go number two. I'd find it more epic :P
  5. w00t step 2 : gratz on getting 24K ess, gl getting 1K air altar tele's :)
  6. yes i realized that a while ago -.- . but have you ever actually gotten more than 1m from selling willows? I don't think they sell :P Just do whatever you want. Honestly, if you wanted to get 99 woodcutting off normal trees you could. As long as you're having fun :
  7. fix'd fixed even further. WoW players are worse than Runescape players, and that is from personal experience, both on the game and outside it.
  8. Wow I'm slow. I've never even known of alternate themes :wall: I'll have to try them out. Voted mithril because thats what I'm using atm. EDIT: Prefer mithril to them all
  9. Especially on tif, from my experience. We all rule  Hugs guys, hugs
  10. The magical recharge would be because of the necromancer, matches the story but on second thought it is kinda wierd :? I reckon their would also be a limit on how frequently you can use the altar. Enough for 2-6 kills at least, but higher levels will last longer.
  11. Lol I really like that cop one. I'm hoping it get's somewhere in the top 5.
  12. the name. It takes a real genious to make up "scape" and add rune at the beginning 8-)
  13. All the gods quit runescape and disappeared ages ago, so how would we actually know? Obvious their accounts are locked, you can't find them on highscores (or can you? :?) EDIT: you can find saradomin on the highscores. He obviously unlocked his account (finally ) http://hiscore.runescape.com/hiscorepersonal.ws Others are not there :?
  14. I like the idea of this, but maybe you could just have your character tracked in everything, and then have interchangeable tabs on the highscores page for skilling, pures, etc. Support
  15. I like this idea. Instead of the altar, maybe a message could appear saying something like "you feel a magical surge rush through you. Your prayer points have been restored". This could be because of the necromatic powers surrounding the lair? If I do have an altar it will probably in the room with elvarg somewhere near the back, so players don't need to keep going back and forth ;)
  16. To save money, just cook whatever you can't burn. Look here for a guide: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Pay-to- ... g_Training Has a list of different methods of training, cheap or slightly expensive and shows you what to cook so you won't burn anything. Be warned though, it will be slow. Not sure about total cost though :?
  17. It doesn't really have any staying power. Eventually it becomes a waste of time, because you want to be able to do more than just combat. Sure you can go train your profession, but they have to be the dullest part of the game. Eventually you are sucked back into the whole PvP aspect and Raiding (AKA grinding) for gear and more cash. The game just revolves around combat until you can't get any further. It's fun for a while, but I got sick of it. Although it is is definitely deeper and more immerse than runescape, it really isn't. Because it all leads back to PvP, bg's and raiding with guild members/random strangers/"friends".
  18. i beileve Pow012000 has already done it, im sure you could complete it while maxing out slayer and runecrafting. Yeah, basically, just double nat run for runecrafting to pay for farming, and slay also. You'd get it eventually :P
  19. Although Defence does its job in some circumstances, you can't say that there isn't a problem. If it was a skill that had reduced damage instead of having XX% chance of negating it then we wouldn't need to raise the HP buffer. But at the moment, it is kind of required. Too easy to get p0wned. The problem isn't Defence as a skill, but how it works at the higher levels. 99 Strength against 99 Defence, well it is obvious who would win. Defence isn't useless (I mean lvl 85 strength against lvl 99 defence the defence would win) but at the higher strength levels, with the crazy max hits we have with godswords, d claws, etc. we just don't have a chance. The fight is over before it even begins.
  20. First Article: Hmmm, I do have to agree that this year has been one long line of small updates and PvP fixes, you can't underestimate the importance of pking in Runescape. A large sum of the players play the PvP side of the game, and with this broken they could see a decline in membership. They really do have to shift it around a bit though. I'm sick of looking at the front page of the runescape website, and the main article is about FunOrb :| Second Article: Honestly, don't even bother comparing WoW to Runescape. Although the majority of people who play WoW after Runescape will stick to WoW (I almost did), this is either due to addiction or excitement. I played for three months, played really hardcore. Got 100K gold, epic gear, went bg's at least once a day for 3+ hours with my guild and non-stop raided. So in all, I racked about 6-7 hours game time a day. Pretty sad. My advice is, stick to Runescape. Better yet, get Guild Wars if you want to try something new. It isn't dangerously addicting, but is really fun to pass the time.
  21. It's the internet. It is full of [bleep] heads that have nothing better to do than feel sorry for themselves and bash other people for doing better than they ever could. And they do it because they can't bear the brunt of the consequences in the real-world. The worst you will get is a ban from a forum at the most. And you make me feel bad; Fred is my friends name :P
  22. Yeah he's right. A lot of us have no lifed and may still be doing it, but you can only keep it up for so long. Take a look at Zezima. A lot of people I know barely play anymore, including myself. Wish I knew how to grind/no life. 7 years and I STILL dont have a 99 due to costs, time etc :| Eh, some people can be bothered to grind for money as well, and have next to no time constraints, or refuse to let RL get in the way of their game. 99 skills are highly overrated anyway. I find it better to have decent levels across all skills (60-80+) then have really bad skills everywhere and one or two good ones. I can't really talk but in the next 2-3 years I hope to get all my stats at 70+ :P eventually...
  23. The real problem isn't the HP buffer; it's defence. It just doesn't do what it should do, and that is reduce damage, not completely negate it, which only works if you are 99 Defence against level 80 Strength anyway  Defence isn't a waste of time, but once you reach those really high levels, it becomes obsolete. It is very useful in gwd though ;)
  24. Eh, it's possible. I doubt anyone could be bothered to stick it out. They'd get like 200M in every skill and then like three days later another skill comes out :wall:
  25. It is primarily for f2p, p2p can benefit a bit but in all honesty, I wouldn't bother killig this in p2p unless you are in it for things like quick cash or you are in the 90's level range. I have tried to come up with a reasonable method of recharging prayer. I might add an altar in there but I don't want it to become campable in f2p. Thanks for the feeback :)
