Seeing the number of you who plan to buy it if it runs RS makes me think Jagex should make their own portable catered specifically to their MMO(s). I'm sure loads of players would buy it if it was done properly, which I assume it would be. 300$ for portable RS? I'd tap that.

I like seeing my rank rise... but it's not my focal point. I quit for 6-ish months and came back with a 125k total rank... now I'm at 70k. I like to level all my skills somewhat equally by setting goals like 70+ all, 80+ all, etc. so I guess that helps my rank... Almost 2k total right now, I'm pumped. Bought 95 in a few easy skills (Cook, Fm, Fletch) just because I like raising my total level. I don't really plan on training them past 95 though... I'd like my first cape to be Herb.

Tricking.. Like a year and a half ago. I know it wrecked the economy and [cabbage], but it was fun as hell. Air striking friends, getting lootz, killing ep'ers. I loved it haha... I also miss pking with friends before the wilderness updates... Goiing out with full rune/addy in F2P at level 50 wild haha.. Awesome.

First off I would like to see you make a counterclaim how it could potentially harm the economy in any seriously damaging way? Imps dropping Godswords, wile obviously an exaggeration you used to prove your point, would have a negative impact. But I fail to see how making different types of money required to purchase or upgrade new sorts of gear is something negative. Harder yes, but why is harder bad? So think of a way this is a bad idea, while I post why it's a good idea, which I will edit in in a moment. And Paw Claw, I keep mentioning it in my posts is because it's the only thing anyone else has even discussed on here, am I supposed to ignore what you guys are asking me about? It'd be like asking me about new weapons, but no one talks about anything but Dragon Claws, then having you get pissed at me for only replying about Dragon Claws! The positives I see are as follows More varied gameplay With different forms of money available to players, it's going to be able to open up the doors for items that are only achievable through these forms of items. Want those Cool jungle gloves that let you do x? Dish out the trading sticks. Crossing over two areas of the game This is going to open up the possiblity of having items require multiple types of currency, as mentioned in the initial post. A unique item, be it functional or simply cosmetic, availible only to those who spent the time acquiring all sorts of different types of RuneScape money. It gives players something to work for, and does the following: Renews interest in currently deserted areas of RuneScape I can safely say for the most part that mostly no one does Tai Bwo Wannai cleanup except for the diaries or for a quest. Making something like that minigame a viable way of gaining trading Sticks, which would now be more useful, would make the game more popular and would rekindle interest in it. Something like new types of currency will "un-obsolete" old runescape areas. Allow for more varied future updates As mentioned before, most rewards are focused around GP. With different types of currencies availible, it's going to allow more varied rewards, perhaps offering a Tokkul incentive in lieu of a GP one. Possible updates to acquiring these currencies With an increased need for things like Tokkul or Fist of Guthix tokens, it will allow Jagex to make more game updates that focus on obtaining these items, giving more variety to the game THERE are your points. Now show me how something like this wouldn't benefit RuneScape. I don't consider difficulty a bad thing. Three of those reasons are more or less the same thing. U mad bro? Go make some more vids <3

Meh. If this were to be implemented into the game I predict inflation... Most players aren't rich enough to worry about currency being an issue, so Jagex won't cater to rich players.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39625809/ns/world_news-americas/ So basically two months ago, 33 miners got trapped and the rescue attempt is happening in minutes/hours. You can watch the live feed at the bottom of that link and read the story. They're going to be raised up in a small tube-like thing... It's really narrow and it reminds me of a casket. I'd be scared as hell... What do you think?

Damn, The Void was great. I almost felt chills. You didn't let me know what your teacher thought of the short story...

My motivation to do good in HS is how great I'm expecting college to be. I'm pumped to take english lit classes and actually be able to discuss things with other students who share my interests instead of being crammed in "necessary" classes with 20 people whom I hate more than anything and 2-3 that I like.

Usually when I drink I play games with friends (beer pong, quarters, etc.) I use beer or vodka but if I'm just hanging out at camp or with my gf and her parents I'll have a few beers/coolers. If we're having dinner or something special I have wine with them too. My favorite? Dunno... Coors?

I live in Sudbury ON and every time I've had to go to emergency I've waited 6+ hours... The clinics suck too, it's almost always an automatic 2 hour wait, and they're usually full early and they have to stop accepting patients 3-4 hours before they're supposed to. I agree that free health care is great, and I guess I'm complaining too much... but comparing Windsor to the rest of Ontario and saying it's "one of the worst" is totally incorrect.

This thread's a joke So I'll take a poke, at what you fools call rappin' All I'm doin' is laughin' Off-topic is dead, bullet to the head, tired of abortion threads, some guy's dead, caught by the feds, Kids dissing weed, I'm no bad seed, just wanna feed my mind, say you don't have the time, can't spare a dime, but man... you'll shine, just sit back and rhyme. Doesn't have to make sense, 'cause for you it'll do, don't get all tense, my mind's bent, just wanna vent Gotta work tonight, no drinks tonight but still, I feel aight, man, you get me, right? You know how it feels, servin' food, servin' meals, it's for real, I get paid, I get laid, feel no pain, I just gain this respect from my peers, doin' it for years on end, I like to spend dough to grow happiness, growing me some cannabis, nothin' better than this Curin', dryin', it's multiplyin', money's comin' in, mesmerized as I open my tin, Packin' bowls whole, I told you man, I'll clear this [cabbage] then hit the spliff in my hand Take a hit, pass it to a friend, let it in, you feel it? If someone wants to poke their stick into another guy I could care less... but that's no reason to gain a lisp. Don't flash around that you're gay; I don't care. Your business... but don't hit on me or I'll smack a [garden tool].

3-4 years ago I ignored friends (and girls) to play RS haha... They would ask me to hang out, mostly with girls or to go drink or smoke or something and I'd say no and/or make up a lame excuse. Sometimes they would just show up at my house and see me playing RS or something. I regret it so much; I missed out on girls, booze, good times, memories, experience and I could have lost a lot of friends.. Thankfully I dropped RS for real-life before anything severe happened rofl. It was a brutal addiction. I'd stay up 'till 5am on school nights to play... Somehow I managed to date 4-5 girls while playing that much. This went on for about 2 1/2 years, from 14-16... Now I laugh about that part of my life with friends and my girlfriend. Ignoring RL for RS is still the biggest regret in my life, but I'm over it now. Now though... I work Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. I hang out with my friends after school, smoke some joints or something, and I either have fires and drink with friends or go to a party every Fri/Sat. I'm also working on my Portfolio while doing coop at a local newspaper, so I'm out taking photos, writing stories and doing interviews daily. Oh yeah...tomorrow is me and my girlfriend's anniversary... It's gonna be sick. Instead of being all romantic we're having a huge bonfire... oh, and my parents are out for the weekend and I have the truck, plus I just got paid. PRO. I'll try to take pics for you guys haha.

runescape black pure

Boring. The fights were long, boring even for F2P pking. If you want to make interesting videos, get members, quest a [cabbage]-load and get better gear/levels. Edit the vid and post only combos/kos/close fights, but never the whole fight. The last guy (B-axe drop) lagged out I guess and you hit like 10 0's on him. Whatever, if you had fun good for you. -
The only thing I didn't like were the Southern accents and such. Good book though.

Bleh, seeing people spend tokens on exp hurts... I guess you can get it back quickly at your level, but at my level it's such a pain. -
A friend of mine was on the brink of being homeless a month ago, and he linked me to this website which is pretty much a homeless survival guide. It's changed my opinions on homeless people... The whole site is a very interesting read... What do you think about homeless people?

Ever heard Sanitarium by Metallica? It really makes me think about the "legally insane" and the methods used to "cure" them... Here's some lyrics for your enjoyment... [hide=SANITARIUM...LEAVE ME BE!]Build my fear of what's out there Cannot breathe the open air Whisper things into my brain Assuring me that I'm insane They think our heads are in their hands But violent use brings violent plans Keep him tied, it makes him well He's getting better, can't you tell? No more can they keep us in Listen, damn it, we will win They see it right, they see it well But they think this saves us from our hell [/hide]

I went from having no job for a year, to 4 opportunities at once. My step-dad's boss wants me to do dry-wall with his company, some guy is getting fired where my girlfriend works, my mom got me a job at a bowling alley in the kitchen, and a girl I babysit with told me someone quit at the movie store and she recommended me to the owner... Dry-wall is hard, the hours are long, and the pay is $10.75/h. The bowling alley is about 20 hours a week, easy enough, $9.25/h but my manager only speaks French. My girlfriend's work is a grocery store: the hours are flexible (I can get from 10-40, pretty much my choice), and the pay is $9.25/h The movie store would be the most fun: the people are cool, the hours are somewhat flexible, and it pays 9.25/h. The movie store and grocery store aren't fo-sho, but the others are. You guys pick for me. ;)

I have about 5 poems to write before Oct. 12, and I'd like to write a really nice one for my girlfriend (1 year coming up)... Hmm.
-
I liked it. I like the "see America, see the world" repetitions. At a few parts I don't like the words you've chosen (E.G. "there was nothing that could block her from that fatal blow"), I would have used shielded or something else, but I guess that's just personal preference. :P You could have went more in-depth with his relationship with his mother, since the story pretty much revolves around that and you don't really see much interactions between the two characters. Something I'm learning from the Poetry section of my (online) Writer's Craft course is to use words that invoke emotions in the reader. You could have done that to the "see America, see the world" part; perhaps by involving the mother in that line? I don't know haha, I liked it, but there's room for improvement. (Then again there always is haha) Good job, let me know what the teacher thought.

I took a few seconds to think about it, and I have 8-ish. At least 3 of those are best-friend material, and the rest are just awesome.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
aeternitatis replied to Da_Latios's topic in Off-Topic
Haven't had sex in a week... I hate periods. She only gets one every 3 months due to the pill now, but... bleh. It's gonna be 1 year that me and her have been together on Saturday, so I'll try to hold off 'till then... ;) Edit: Any ideas for an anniversary gift? I was thinking: write her a poem, buy her a book of quotes (she loves quotes), dry her up a bouquet of roses and bring her to a restaurant... but I feel like that's not good enough. -
Pretty much summed up a lot of the discussions in the efficiency thread. Interesting; nice read. Thanks Rach!
