PoP ftw! Yep, Hull of Tides first. Finished both 300 slate missions, 61% and 58% for them. Finished Chimera Straits too, recruited one Chimera. Sent the Occultist story part 3 at 100%. 78% to the Scythe, 2k bamboo. Hoping to get enough slate for the office before hitting the Scythe, bamboo when I need fast missions to use up my daily allotment.

Going by what Gwyn posted above, you should only go back to early areas to use up missions you couldn't otherwise use up. You will get enough slate by the time you reach the Scythe. I'm at 74% right now, and I have all ship upgrades, ~15 slate crew, the warehouse upgrade and 800+ slate still in reserve. Bamboo is the real bottleneck.

Crew is 120 slate for +225 in one stat (at level 5) Deck upgrades @ 500 slate for +500 in one stat (using both slots) Hull upgrades @ 700 slate for +500 in one stat and +100 in others Bow upgrades @ 400 slate for +150 in one stat Rudder @ 300 slate for +200 speed Warehouse @ 1000 slate for +5% slate, +5% gunpowder, +1% chimes. Office @ 4000 slate for +50% ships (lol). That's the order I would go for.

Ouch :S. Guess that's out of the question then. I am now the proud owner of 1 laquer, and my 300 slate mission made it too :). Random from those missions got me a captain reroll, finally a good one: 200/200/200/500 with eagle-eyed & eager. Time to level her (my now second-best captain is level 6 already). Sent out 86% for scroll as well, and 100% for 80 slate which will get me the warehouse upgrade :D. O, and 98 fletch yesterday I forgot to mention. Yay.

I am by no means an expert on QBD hunting. But I think ranged might actually be easier, as you can avoid her melee attacks and keep attacking during the fire waves and whatnot. Your best familiar would probably be a war tortoise (if that gives you another kill per trip) or otherwise a bunyip I guess.

Got a second 10k morale mission, for 10 spice :wall:. Well, good incentive to buy some more Blazing Lantern crew (sorry Jayc).

This. Right now the focus of pop should be on two things: resources and upgrades. There's no point on getting all scrolls and building a workshop, when you can't even complete missions for a single plate/lacquer/chi... I've been focusing on replacing skull crew for hook crew and so far missions have been doing MUCH BETTER, enough to keep a steady rate of 9/10 including special voyages... Besides, there are upgrades that increase the chance of getting scroll missions, so I would wait to that point to actually focus on them. The difficult voyages, even with bad trade good rewards, cover good distance... I'd rather send them out than skip them entirely. But I agree about the workshop and scrolls, they're quite useless. By the time you have 100+ of any one trade good, a workshop will be so cheap, and scroll missions a matter of routine.

No, but for prayer bonus, you'd want Akrisae's robe top. It's not only cheaper than Subjugation, but offers +1 prayer point more. I'm not convinced +1 prayer bonus is worth it. Akrisae's does degrade, while Subjugation does not.

Grats! Only 198 more plates to go :3. I finished all slate ship upgrades, now going for storehouse, bar, workshop and office (6100 slate total, and 5600 bamboo). Edit: 62% to the Scythe at the end of today, sent my 10k combat mission for one laquer at 76% (go 3 powder kegs!). That ship must be about ready to explode.

I'm at 55% now, will be around 65% at the end of the day, so probably Monday for the Scythe. Someone might be luckier than me with voyage rerolls and get there Sunday.

does it go by damage or ticks under attack? I presume it goes by ticks under attack, since it got reworked with EoC. I hope Jagex applied the usual degrade mechanism to it. If it's by damage, then you should repeat Elvarg in the Dominion Tower or another crazy hard-hitting monster.

Void mage with deflector & subjugation top should be good then. With the shield you can absorb an icycle attack with Resonance, gaining health equal to half your current health.

Scarab swarms attack once per tick but hit very low, if you can find a place with a lot of them, that works. Harpy bug swarms too, maybe.

They are the best magic xp in the game if you value gp. They are also probably around 1.5m/h from boots if other drops cover the running costs. Void mage seems to work, I guess either deflector with a better mage top & wand, or just void with staff.

Yes, they have. The chance to drop crimsons isn't nearly as high as for waterfiends though. I guess special missions have greater rewards :P. This one was only 3600/3600 or something. I have two stupid voyages atm, one is 5500 in two for one ancient bone, the other is 10000 combat for one vial of laquer. Waiting on the armoured hull for that, and the next tier ram as well. Need about 500 more slate for those together. I can get ~5k in any one stat, but for two stats the limit is probably 3.5-4k or so. Barmaid's tip got me 400 gunpowder so halfway the shipwright upgrade too.

If you are able to send all voyages at high percentages (I'd say 85%+), then sure, go for it. The cost of the office upgrade is 3000 slate, the cost of all deck upgrades + a hull, rudder and bow upgrade is a total of 2900 iirc.

No idea. Lobsters might spawn a bit slow to barrage at full speed, but they do drop 2 charms at the time. Hit 350m overall xp and 98 mining, 2470 total now. Bought the double heavy cannon upgrade, some crew including an eagle-eyed siren, still no luck with captains and lost 400 bamboo for ship repairs. Next up are an easy 300 slate mission and the Occultists first story mission, both 100%ers.

Both my specials for 300 slate came back and succeeded, so yay :D. Now I have two eagle-eyed golden katana clansmen and also two bannermen. I can get about 5100 seafaring atm ^^.

97 hunter get. Did about 730k xp today. Hunter sucks. PoP wise, not much going on, bought the slate seafaring hull, bought two Katana clansmen, had to dismiss one for being cursed (the other is eagle-eyed), got only 200 slate now so hoping the Whaler 300 slate mission works, then I'll be able to get one deck upgrade. Still need gigatons of bamboo&powder for port upgrades though :/.

There is a 'cursed' trait which reduces all stats by 50, and speed by another 50 (so 100). Sadly, the first Golden Katana clansman I recruited was cursed :(.

I have a level 6 Eastern Overseer and First Mate. But level 5 > 6 takes very, very long.
