All recorded max hits are critical hits. Multiplier equals the recorded critical hit, divided by the damage shown in the equipment interface minus 99 (magic level). As you can see, abilities which are supposed to have multipliers close to the bottom three lines, actually have much higher multipliers, up to 2.5 times as high as shown in-game for Fire Strike. With a sample of 3 hits with 3 different abilities using fire strike, Metamorphosis seems to grant 125% damage, not 150%. tl;dr fire wave > fire surge Edit: if someone with 80 magic could test the critical hits of air surge for the five abilities above, that'd be real nice :).

  3. The quests & rewards are nice, the Archmage title particularly. I wish there had been an easter egg involving the runes, but that's ok. @Kaida: Safe mode is much less efficient than other modes, you'll probably get less lag with minimum settings in another graphics mode. @Void set nerf: Void needs a (free) higher-statted version, as in, talk to quest person to recieve a level 60 or level 80 version statted at level 40 and 60 respectively.
  4. It was about time there was a cosmetic (event) aura, and now we get one. Not feeling particularly strongly about the xp rewards, but 50k per day will be useful I'm sure.

    No, you can just mage the glacytes now. 95 summoning would help a bit to kill them faster. Just max your magic equipment and cast fire surge. Use your standard magic action bar. I'm not sure how well you can survive with a unicorn only.

    Since prayer does not contribute to combat level, the higher the better. If you intend to stay low def, you can't unlock turmoil. Without turmoil, prayer caps at level 77 for usefulness iirc (Augury). With turmoil, prayer goes up to 95. Vengeance is worth it.

    Void mage increases damage too, it's quite a good set of armour for hybriding now.
  8. Sniper is not good, as it was before. Sniper was only ever good because Desperado didn't work with the Hexhunter effect. Blitzer seems a bit better than Blazer to me, when I tried it it capped at 20 damage for the combust effect, which is rather low. But that may have been fixed.
  9. I don't think accounts get removed from the hiscores anymore, provided they had p2p before? Anyway, mass bans happen sometimes. Probably, this was one too. Yay free ranks :D.
  10. I'm not sure why you want an elemental staff? Part of the EoC update is that catalytic staves provide all elemental runes (e.g. all surges are free). You need someone with 99 rc to make you an empowered one.
  11. It's not different, however, with the right stats and equipment you can use soul split and not bother with prayer switching. Just fire surge, use abilities (wrack, combust etc.). Sometimes the chain ability can lure Enduring. Wild Magic and Asphyxiate are nice high-damage tresholds.
  12. It depends a bit on how much PvM with overloads you intend to do. You should make all the potions you'll ever need before you hit 99 (unless you want 100+ herblore). If you don't already have the super antifire for 99 slayer, those are nice too. Super restores are probably hard to sell right now since brews are much less useful.

  14. Make a list of the ~12 tasks that offer the best xp/hr. Block the 6 most common NOT on that list, and skip the rest not on that list. I don't know the new xp/hr but miths, steels etc. are good, apparently also ISW, while former best tasks like bloodveld are horrible. Abyssals are good now too. There is a bias towards high-level high-slayer monsters I think.
  15. Slayer is the slowest skill you have left, I would suggest dumping bonus xp into that if you do not dislike agility (agility is close to slayer). For block lists, the old cannon tasks are quite bad (bloodveld, kalphites etc.) while the former slow-but-high-effigy tasks like steels and miths are now great. Effigy rates seem to be lower overall because of the reduced combat levels. Broad arrows are good, do them while you finish Livid Farm, easy 150-200k fletching xp/hr in addition to full produce points, and it's less boring. Farming, farm torstols or fellstalks (more xp less money usually). Torstol is still 300k/run or so, quite nice.
  16. Spin luck worth sharing: spin ticket, 30 cannonballs, prized prismatic pendant, medium dungeoneering lamp. I have, pendant-wise: depleted prized & regular, regular agil/mine and prized fishing. And 10 small recharge crystals. Go free xp? Also bought more broad arrows, should have enough for ~98 fletch or so. Will get 99 fletch before Livid is done at this rate. Tip for Livid fletchers: using the left-click inventory option 'convert' on lunar lumber stops fletching, the action bar cast spell > lumber does not.
  17. Penance, no other aura is quite as a big difference afaik. Equilibrium *could* be good theoretically but I'm not sure.
  18. Glacors are very fast xp, roughly 10k xp each (including hp, so about 7-7.5k magic) and you can get 50+ kills/hr easily. Barrage isn't really better than surge there, but you can use it and kill the glacytes a little faster?
  19. Moved to H&A as this seems more like a one-off question. You can create a table using code tags: [code]Monospace lettering goes here[/code] I think snakeskin is already trash, both armour sets are sufficiently cheap that the only practical difference is looks. E.g. its existence is already meaningless.
  20. Torstol is still pretty profitable (or it was yesterday). Herbs are at ~20k and seeds at ~160k or so. That works out to be 250-300k per run (maybe more with t4 greenfingers and RF).

    I believe the effect is larger than the percentage only, but smaller than the additive, so we basically don't know how it works.
  22. That's intentional. That said, I remember getting some sort of new feature message when I got 85 magic that sounded like it might have been helpful here... Intentional yes, good no. And teleblock sucks, don't forget you can't use barrage with it, or Vengeance/Disrupt shield if you're not maging (and if you're not maging, accuracy is also an issue). Imo it'd be much more interesting to start the fight off with ultimates (or not, depending on your style). Combat isn't something that lasts for a long time, it should be done quick (I'd almost say, efficiently).
  23. Quick find code: 296-297-458-64113369 I think it's important that the default state is a full adrenaline bar rather than an empty one. Otherwise pvp (especially wilderness) starts off so sluggishly. I imagine it's very hard to kill someone quickly enough to prevent them from teleporting.

    DFS is really expensive to switch between classes atm, one blast fusion hammer each (1m gp).
  25. You need a special off-hand weapon to dual wield. You can't just take any weapon and wield it left-handed.
