Ikr, but I'm not overly concerned with it as a lot of my herbs grow overnight/during dinner and whatnot, so I couldn't cure them no matter what. I'll get RF when I feel like getting 96 fletching (lol). Combat rework basics: Make all potion boosts of the same tier equal; introduce super ranging and magic potions; introduce a ranged variant of turmoil and augury; change the way magic level affects hits; add life point boosts to cheaper equipment; increase certain boss' health. [hide]Regular potions: +12 Super potions: +19 Extreme potions/overloads: +26 Ranged turmoil: 15%+15% of opponent's level This results in a straight 11.9% ranged dps boost (on targets with a decent ranged level) assuming 100% accuracy - more if your accuracy is lower. To balance out magic, make each level +1% magic damage; make Storm of Armadyl and polypore staff work with +3 per magic level; make level-based magic damage boosts count boosted level past the base requirement. This results in a 3.7% dps boost to Storm of Armadyl, assuming 100% accuracy and 99 magic. For the polypore staff, the increase is 6.5% (that is assuming the base max of 220+3 per level, not the formula (magic level*3) - 180). For all other spells, the increase is 4.1%. Life point boosts are currently extremely expensive to come by, adding some more and cheaper ones will somewhat reduce the danger of KOs. This will unbalance pvm, so some bosses will need some more health as well (especially GWD bosses since they are alone in their room). Change Nex items to 80 - 160 - 240 (total 480) for clarity. For Barrows, Armadyl, and other 70+ defence gear: add 60 - 120 - 180 (total 360). Possibly except ganodermic as it is primarily soak-based (could be gimmick). For Bandos, third-age, Dragon, and other 60-69 defence gear: add 40 - 80 - 120 (total 240). For rune, granite, dragonhides, infinity, void, tier 3/4 task items, agile and other low level gear: add 20 - 40 - 60 (total 120). Add 40 lp boost to glacor boots, max/comp/kiln cape, dungeoneering/dragonfire/sigil spirit shields. Add 20 lp boost to Dominion Tower/mercenary gloves, dragon/Bandos boots, fury, fire cape, obsidian/dragon/crystal/blessed spirit shields. Add 10 lp boost to Culinaromancer's gloves 9 and 10, ranger's/rune/infinity/Fremmenik sea boots 3+, glory/ranging amulet/arcane stream necklace, Soul Wars/Ardougne 3+ capes, granite/rune shields. Cap life point boosts (total) at the users's constitution level (based on future updates, with these suggestions the max lp boost is 640 requiring 105 combat, 80 con, 80 def, 80 str/range/mage, 65 prayer). The boosts are roughly based on defence level, sometimes on other requirements. A 'reasonable' setup (arma + eeks sub 100m Nex setup) would have a 480 lp boost. Older bosses are based on the 255 level cap so they have 2550 lp (GWD, DKS, KQ, Jad). The KQ is still fairly difficult, dks are more of a slayer monster these days, but Jad can be taken to 4000 lp and GWD to about 5000. [/hide]

Sally's Insane Goals and Random RS Blog -350/369 Clue Scroll Items - Item Update!? SHE LIVES?!
The bonus xp weekend announcement probably killed a bunch of methods :(. I guess bones will drop a bit though, so prayer could be an option?

Help with training combat stats
Rune scimitar or gravite rapier would be best.

Barraging Rock Lobsters
Fury has 4 less magic attack than asn so I don't know what you're on about :P. Max mage is nice, soul wars cape + maybe demon horn necklace/proselyte for luring, battle robes are worth it if you want some placeholder hybrid gloves (and at 3m/hr I think).

Will Dragon Bones rise or crash after the BXP weekend?
I didn't quite get the last part of your point Quyneax, do you suggest to slay dragons to make money for supplies? People want money for the bonus xp weekend because if they do an expensive skill, they will save both time AND money doing whatever they are doing. People make money by killing dragons and selling the bones (and hides, going up because of crafting @ bxpw). More people hunting dragons leads to lower bone prices. I'm not 100% sure the effect will be noticable but it should at least not cause bones to rise.

Auspicious Katana
The contact area mustn't be too large. A blunt sword can't put enough force in one place to break a bone or punch through platemail, also because swords are a bit more delicate than hammer heads - they'd probably chip or fracture under the stress of hammering metal armour. In 'proper' swordfighting versus an opponent in platemail, you would either stab where two plates meet (the reason there are weapons like estocs and rapiers) or use the pommel and crossguard as a mace. But katanas don't have a good crossguard for that.

Will Dragon Bones rise or crash after the BXP weekend?
They shouldn't go up much if at all, I'd sooner expect a slight drop, but mostly the weekend won't affect prayer terribly much I should think. People 'should' not be doing prayer on the weekend & making money by killing dragons to spend on bxpw supplies, so...

Thanks, nice going on agility there . Did some random skilling, Char's cave (110k xp, yum), currently woodcutting, got 2 medium lamps from fortuna so 2k to 96 rc. About 950k to 99 firemaking, I'll get that from adze to 99 woodcut. Current plan is 2430 total under 300m xp (10 levels, 12m xp to go). I can gain pretty much any levels for that other than dg, so it'll be (hopefully) 96 woodcut, 94&95 craft (bxpw), 93 agi (skoll), 94 fishing (barb, c2 if I reset), 102 dg (aforementioned reset), 96 runecrafting (2k xp lol), 95 thief+hunt or something and some smithing.

200M in all Skills
I don't think you need quite that many (66k) overloads for all 200ms or 200ms combat. So if extreme range would be more efficient than overloads, you'd be making a lot of them after you're done with overloads.

This new armour looks great. Now swords need an update >.>.

Behind the Scenes - March
Far as I can recall they've always said the bonus xp weekend does not stack with existing bonuses. I think it just uses whatever bonus is highest. It uses the bxpw multiplier, so if you try to do prayer (x3.5) you'll end up losing xp.

Maybe it does :P. You're still 14 levels ahead. Got 95 fletching, Livid is still very annoyingly slow, about 280k produce (314k needed for remote farm, got arrows for that). Top 9k rank for the first time as well :).
-
Q
Got 94 mining :). Also 15k rc xp from fortuna. 2 assists from 96 rc, about an hour of Livid for 95 fletch. I might go for highest total level under 300m total xp (need at least 2426 since Renez is at 2425/270-low million xp). edit: at least 2428.

200M in all Skills
Sounds to me like a small strength experience lab from the SoF (oddly I got one of those as well today so thats what came to mind). So he logged in for a minute to do that it seems. I think it could be troll invasion, if he saved the reward book.

Yep, the 15k-25k-30k xp more efficient at lower levels due to increased xp rates at higher levels, but the lamp more efficient at higher levels. Tsk tsk, you misspelled disappointing. And thank you for the compliment; I'm jelly of the last 4 lines of your siggy. :twss: Fixed! Thanks :) Coldplay is very smooth and easy, but I don't like his voice :(. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9otg_Cm50RE More like highly delicate automaton. There's a difference!

Behind the Scenes - March
I'm looking forward to the new tasks, gnome graphics, armour graphics and bxpw a bit. The other updates are neutral to me, they don't seem gamebreaking yet. Overall a good month, it's been ages since the last task set (Burthorpe does not count!).

Dominion Tower Questions
I believe Storm of Armadyl makes the monkeys very easy (also ganodermic, range pray, ss flash I guess). Ideally you're under attack by 1 at the time and you can lure the demons with a ranged attack of sorts.

Q
Can't blame you, they're not exactly clear or English. All but the summoning xp is from my effigy dump today. Along with 25k assist I'm 73k from 96 runecrafting and 110k from 94 mining.

Q
I pronounce them the Dutch way roughly. Kwee-nay-ax I think the English would be, and Mierin is only two syllables - Mie-rin. The 'ie' is one sound, about the same as in 'fierce'. You gimme effigies!

The Menagerie
There are penguins in tropical areas - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gal%C3%A1pagos_Penguin. I don't think habitat affects pet house. I'm 100% sure you can build a habitat after a pet house at least.

28-Feb-2012 - Squeal of Fortune
Yet they removed effigies... I think it's not even bad per sé to introduce untradeable variants of high-end gear. It's fun if you have to do something, but less, to gain that same benefit but not the bank value increase (like getting a fighter torso instead of a Bandos chestplate or farseer kite instead of arcane). It's just that right now, there is nothing there to promote skill, levels or commitment. This update is both extremely shallow and goes against the idea that good gear should be obtained further along in the game. The tiers of gear in the overworld are already pretty much nonexistent, but at least Torva requires a higher level to obtain (as drop) than Bandos. This update has no element like that.
