Fire surge base avg hit: 140. Can use cstaff (120/115 compared to abs) and csb (105% damage avg if you cast in sets of 5). Storm base avg hit (106 magic): 225. Is one tick faster (+25% dps). So basically: ~1,83 times higher dps with storm.

Rock lobsters don't drop effigies. If you want more than just summoning and magic xp (for example, a particular elite diary) it'd be worth hunting glacors for effigies and charms.

The crossbow does not require ammunition but it does not have ranged strength. The best way to use it is to equip a single onyx bolt (e) (the specials won't activate but it'll take the ranged strength).

Spent yesterday getting 119 Dominion Tower boss kills, unlocked sword and crossbow (both suck). It's going to be a huge grind to finish it all off :S. Worth mentioning I got a 142 max hit splat using void and dominion crossbow with 106 ranged and no ammo (which is right for +0 ranged strength). I also hit plenty of 300+ hits with a dstone bolt equipped. Well, from what I know dark beasts are around 180 kph in Kuradal's (160k melee xp/hr)? Since you lose fero/task bonus I'd imagine the xp/hr is around 110-120k max.

Well you definitely sound like you should get the defence levels :P. However what you should consider is not getting any strength levels (at least, past 90). The most powerful attack in the game is actually Storm of Armadyl (unlocked after Ritual of the Mahjarrat) and if you had, say, 99 magic and less than 149 total attack+strength, you would be magic-based and be able to use Storm at its most powerful. With 70 defence, 99 prayer, 99 constitution and 99 magic/ranged you're 102 combat. With 60 attack, 99 strength, 43 defence, 95 prayer, 99 constitution/magic/ranged you're 98 combat. The same with 80 attack would be 104 combat (with 41 defence so not able to use void - if you wanted to have void with that you'd need to get 105 combat so might as well get 45 defence then). So a Storm of Armadyl pure would be the ultimate quest-based pure and would out-damage chaotic turmoil zerkers at a lower level, while also having more defence. Downsides: Huge cost of Armadyl runes, low (ranged) defence of robes, not many people willing to actually fight you, significant risk required to fight etc. etc.

65 defence would mean you'd be able to use Storm of Armadyl - if you intend to pk with that I'd say go for it.

It looks like she hunts them for ancient pages, which are required to get a finished "My Notes" for trimmed comp.

The endurance mode is extremely easy and boring. You spend more time between fights than actually fighting :(.

Ooohhh I have an anaolgy!! If I sit down and stay there, then relative to any observers, I'm not moving. However, relative to the sun, I'm moving at 30km/s. So to you I might be immobile, but to the sun I'm zipping by. So, plug efficiency in. Relative to Zarfot's, my xo gains suck. Relative to a autotyper spammer thing I'm much more efficient because the spammer doest get xp. As much as I hate to say it Gemeos2 is more 'efficient' than me. But I'm much more efficient than many others. It's all relative. Gaining xp relative to Zarfot or a spambot has nothing to do with efficiency. The spambot does not want to get xp (but doesn't care if it does) and as such is 100% efficient all of the time.

We are talking about being efficient time-wise, and since ticks are time I don't see how ticks (or losing them) don't refer to efficiency? Maybe I'm missing something, English isn't my native language. If you are incapable of not losing ticks you're not being inefficient. If you choose to lose ticks (e.g. afk) then that is inefficient.
