200M in all Skills
@Wisse: That's true :P. When saying something is inefficient it's usually assumed the goal is the 99 and not the burning itself. @Noble_Mafia: Losing ticks refers to being skilled, not to being efficient, as I said before (unless you choose to lose them). Your point that moneymakers are efficient or not is a bit self-evident of course but quite relevant. It also shows how efficient Suomi really is, donations being the gp/hr they are.

Smithing question
You can have a look at the Artisan's Workshop. I think ore prices are a bit wobbly after the bot nuke still so gp/xp calculators are slightly off, but in general it shouldn't be too slow or expensive to do burial armour. If you want a gold cannon it's best to get it now, before you unlock adamant platebodies :P. Grade 1 adamant: 1800 gp for 300 xp Grade 2 adamant: 4700 gp for 500 xp Grade 3 adamant: 6900 gp for 625 xp Approx.

200M in all Skills
Efficiency is the fastest way to take player X from state A to state B the fastest way possible. This includes the ability of player X to perform a given method (not being a fast clicker, having only one hand or whatever). People who have 30b+ going for 200m xp in all skills typically define state A as their current state, and B as the state where they have 200m xp in all skills. This means it's more efficient for them to burn all that gp. If state B was defined as "200m xp in all skills WITHOUT affecting bank, dungeoneering binds or any sort of additional token/item storage you might have" then it's more efficient to hunt glacors for money and effigies and use that to pay for buyables. Burning willows from 30 to 99 firemaking is inefficient. Even if you burn them perfectly. The jadinko lair is far superior.

Nex gear VS Vanguard in minigames
As the above have said, it's damage-oriented. Versus players weaker than yourself, battle-mage with Storm of Armadyl will wreck them 15% faster, but Virtus is better versus strong opponents.

200M in all Skills
That's not efficiency, that's skill. Efficiency only determines which method is most suited, though you could of course take into account that you burn yew logs faster (which would surprise me as magic is exactly the same). Post above me said there is no skill in rs. Disregarding him I would agree but my point was more that if you missed ticks with magics vs perfect with yews (2 different players) I would consider the one who burned yews without missing ticks a more efficient player than the one who used magics because the one who used magics essentially wasted money and time even if they got 200m at the same pace. Naturally the person getting equal/slower xp with magics is being comparatively very slow, but considering that they'd burn yews at the same rate and that other person would burn magics at their rate, the person burning mage logs is still more efficient. That has nothing to do with what you consider 'pro', efficiency is defined.

Artisan's is fairly expensive, everything else just a big grind. I might work on BA levels a bit later, got 37 wave 6 tickets.

Is there anything that is worth Low-Alching?
Every item that is profitable to alch is only profitable to hi-alch, sorry.

Skilling question
Woodcutting, because it's faster so you'll waste less time getting it to 99.

Altar-less Runecrafting Training
I quite agree with this. I'd like a Player Owned Laboratory attached as well to keep my herblore supplies and finally mix overloads without banking so much!

Future of Runescape Combat
"You will be able to click on a target then AFK, but it will come at the cost of DPS." I wonder how they imagine this, because currently killing an average (cannonable) slayer monster is so quick that you can do basically nothing before it dies other than hit it twice. For quite a few combat situations it isn't so much your primary weapon that takes managing but your familiar, its and your position, your cannon, your gear switches/autocast/prayers, your potions etc. So I don't see if and how this would have to change combat very much. "We're just going to say something like, it's magic armor, it has magic runes on it, it's got forcefields or whatever, they're going to make you really good at defending against melee." Imo, this is very stupid. If you could use forcefields like that everybody would be wearing them for each kind of armour. You could make up a story about how magic wards interfere with physical wards, but why one piece of steel would be blocked by a ward but another wouldn't just doesn't make any sense (then again neither do protect from melee/missiles). "We don't want to prevent you from safespotting, but it's not really great gameplay." I disagree with this. Imo it makes sense (for a ranger) to hide at least (stand on top of a hill or sit in a tree or w/e), and attack from a distance (not close-up tanking like you'd do in slayer. Sagaie are awesome because of this). Mages are pretty much like rangers in RS, so for them it'd make sense to hide as well. Position is one of the few tactical choices you have to make in RS and I like when it's used (for example luring tds or trapping unstable behind enduring). What would be great is an easier way to move, because right now so many things are done with the mouse and so little with the keyboard that it's annoying to also have to move that square. "What we do see in pvp, is that people do too much damage. You whip out your dragon claws or your armadyl godsword, you bust out your special, bam bam you're dead. We can't have things like that." I disagree, personally I think godswords hits far too low for the story behind them, and I see it as realistic and desirable that a fight should be short and brutal (lots of damage on both sides) not a lot of zerowhacking (or 10%healthwhacking if you like) and healing. The idea of a person taking a yak with two camelbacks, one with prayer and one with health, is stupid imo. "When you click a monster now, it will tell you what a monster is strong against, and when it is weak against." Boring, there's monster examine and experimentation for that. However: "We want to encourage you to do it. To use the stronger attack style." This I like. Overall, not sure I'll enjoy the updates, but let them come.

You already pillaged the cookie jar first day you came in :shame:. Glacors don't give you as much ranged/melee xp as tds do. They are about the same effigies, glacors are a little better charms, and glacors have much higher base costs. Delivered 19 choc ices so far today. Really pretty fun :). Much preferrable to, for example, agility.

Thanks :). Welcome, take a seat and a cookie. Impressive Thanks :). No. Compete with Last one to post wins + screenshots thread together. Been gathering strange rocks. Acute liquidity problems are near. Must go glacors and get boot drop asap.

value of time?
Well, efficiency is quite simple. You have a goal (e.g. max out). You have various way to attain it (e.g. kill glacors for effigies, kill cave crawlers for effigies). Now you calculate which one would get you there faster. If you have 500m cash it's probably faster to do crawlers. If you have no cash, it's faster to do glacors and spend the profits on crawlers. You might make your goal more elaborate, for example: "I want to get a completionist cape, have over 200m bank value after buying my comp cape, have all trimmed completionist cape requirements that take less than five hours of extra time and have fun at least 90% of the time." Again, you have various ways to attain this. If you talk about valuing your time, the narrow sense is the highest pure gp/hr you can make (e.g. 20m/hr hosting dice or something). Most monster hunting moneymakers (just not DKs) drop effigies as well. You could say that an effigy is worth 1.5 hours of skilling, and that each moneymaker that gives you 2/3rds or more of an effigy per hour is effectively infinite gp/hr. But what you should really look at is: you can make 20m/hr hosting dice, that means you save 7 minutes of moneymaking at glacors. If you get effigies every 1.5 hours of killing, you spend only 83 minutes getting that effigy (and 7 minutes getting gp).

Mutated Jadinkos
Well considering that SoA is around 120% of the base dps of a rapier, that means rapier should be about 72% accurate? I guess SoA may be slower then (it was already inefficient).

So what's the basics of soloing the king black dragon?
The KBD uses ranged breath attacks and melee attacks. If you stand away from him he will not melee, so you will be able to use a two-handed weapon (halberd, bow) with protect from magic and antifire potions. But I'm not 100% sure that works.

..
I think it's worth noting that soloing a gd isn't going to work at lower levels. Gorg 2h and plate without turmoil simply isn't going to cut it. That being said, the concept is sound for higher levels.

So what's the basics of soloing the king black dragon?
Dragon battle axe is not 25% slower than the whip but 50% (6 ticks). Daemonheim battleaxes are 5 tick and as such 25% slower than the overworld whip. The dragon battle axe is a very bad weapon in every sense of the word but you would be able to get a kill with it, so if you want to use it, it's all yours. However, as above, I would suggest using a stab weapon, such as a dragon longsword, mace or dagger (although I admit daggers don't look very knight-like). Other knightly stab weapons can be hastas (onehanded spears, sadly you don't have a horse) or even regular spears if you use protect magic + antifire potions (but you will lose protect from melee so you'll need to kite). You could use a halberd as well, which doesn't require protect melee as you can stand away, and its stab attack bonus is the highest of all dragon weapons. A leaf-bladed sword works as well.
