Dreadnips might be worth it for the 360s, but you can only direct them to attack whatever you are currently attacking and everything lower than a 360 dies in 3 hits max :D. :o do you leech or something? No, it's just impossible to get a screenshot of the level-up message while I'm keying. And I bought that level with ~15k tokens anyway lol.
  2. Cannonballs are most of the cost, you use 5k per hour and up, so if they are at 400 that's 2m/hr + 300ish k in pray pots/scrolls and overloads valued at 0. Probably 2.5m/hr in all.

  4. I can believe that msb beats ccbow with fero, but not without I'd think. We really need the next tier shortbow :/. Edit: the max hit comparison still goes, you just have to add 80, so it'd become 760 vs 480, multiplied by speed that's 152 vs 120 vs 160 raw dps (crossbow vs smlb vs msb). If ccbow is 60% accurate, msb needs 57% accuracy to be equally good. The ranged attack bonus difference is 59 with an unholy book or 84 with void deflector w/ acp vs regular void.
  5. I can honestly say that this method is by far the best way to ever get a fire cape for all those people unable to get one with melee or ranged. Firstly, the moments up to Jad are awesomely easy (half an hour of supreme boredom) and secondly Jad is extremely weak. I only aggroed two healers and just farcasted... with 1500 lp cushion because of brews you can't go wrong, just pray range when in doubt. Also got 1 woodcutting rock.

  7. Naturally... but for 1.7 vs 1.25 units of dps, you're talking either a hit of, say, 720 vs 1.25 hits of 440. Math stuff: With 1.7x the strength, you get 1.7x the max, so if we assume 400 max for arrows pre-fero you get 400 vs 680, +40. 440*1.25 < 720.
  8. I remember Mida Veel from when w148 would take you at 80 dg... he had blood neck and primal gaunts with his 2h back then. Good keyer. I don't mind trading for floors, but it is of course trust trading and not efficient.
  9. Poker is still gambling, and that was the argument Jagex presented. Whether it requires skill or not is irrelevant, and that wasn't the excuse they used. Relevant Wikipedia link. Poker has elements of chance but so do lots of games. The question is, do you consider it gambling if it's possible to profit given a large enough number of games? For poker and staking, yes, you can profit reliably long-term, for dicing, no (if not hosting).
  10. 82 versus 22 ranged strength and only 1 tick extra attack speed. So that's 146 vs 86 including the 64 base strengths, almost 70% higher max (unless dragonbane arrows have higher extra damage than bolts). The one tick is good for 25% higher dps, so it's 1.7 vs 1.25 dps... I don't see how fero could help with that.

  12. I would only recommend using a halo if you were doing chaos tunnels fiends and 1.5+ hour trips.
  13. Jagex made up a reason to remove f2p from the highscores... the reason they give does not justify the action taken at all. Hope to see this scrapped ASAP. As for the wiki idea, I wonder how crappy it's going to be. On one hand, people like Oblivion may be able to create an article on max hit/dps calcs, on the other hand, people might be making dungeoneering guides that recommend arrows + warhammer + longsword binds.
  14. I thought that minigames might be more fun if people used potions more, as an average unpotted noob isn't going to hit anything overloaded. Hence, suggestion: If you have the herblore requirement to make a stat-boosting potion, you can trade x doses of that potion (few hundreds to a thousand) + some minigame tokens (Zeal, tickets, tokens etc.) to recieve the benefit of that potion at the start of each game + each time you die. For the god brews and overloads, the lp effects are removed. Overloads stay permanently instead of disappearing after 5 minutes (even if you don't die). Super antifire, prayer renewal and antipoison++ are permanent effects as well.
  15. If you say something is gambling just because it's not 100% certain you could remove all pvp... the point is that in dicing there was absolutely no way to bend the odds in your favour, ignoring the problems with scamming etc. which Jagex cites as a reason.

  17. Dragonbane bolts max a little under the rapier and are of course slower, so you'll lose ~20% of your dps for starters. With chinning+cannoning at over 500k xp/hr even without steel titan, you can determine whether the time lost slaying is worth the ranged xp gained.

    It's one of those things that are worth getting, but only after a long list of other upgrades, such as spectral (for Bandos god wars) etc. You should probably also sell them if it would enable you to buy any piece of Nex gear. For tds/Nex, I'd suggest glaivens, for glacors steadfast really aren't worth getting.
  19. 3% boost to max hit would be a 3% boost to current strength bonus plus a 3% boost to the base 64 strength you have unarmed. With the +12 strength from vanguard/battle-mage, you'll have 3% of 76 boost at the very least, which is greater than the +1 strength from goliaths. For ancient cavern fiends, use full Bandos, max strength gear, goliaths with dragon defender and punch them with turmoil, overload, soul split to heal.

  21. This. I know the w/l ratio in the Duel Arena for regular boxing can be as bad as 50.1/49.9, but that's still better than 45/55, and it depends on your style switching, which means you can determine the .2% difference that is a profit instead of a loss. For things like armour on staking, it's more dependant on strategy. I can't say I'm sorry to see dicing go. Good update :).
