  1. Void + unicorn can do 40/hr or maybe a little more. Steel titan can do about 45. Mainly important is that you are not using void/handcannon/maul/claws and that you are not experienced with this.
  2. Yes. Thank you and good night.
  3. You are silly for confusing in-game efficiency with irl efficiency. Xp/time played is relevant, not xp/day.
  4. I think there should be a special medal for exceptional non-dgs teammates, say if they get "It's too easy" on a team with at least two DGS ranks.
  5. ^This is all true. Bringing special restores + a dragon claw for slayer tasks will speed them up A LOT. Define 'a lot'. Perfect special recover usage in Kuradal's dungeon on low-defence monsters would get you around 84 claw specials on a total of ~1300 hits, which is (assuming 1 claw spec = 2 rapier hits, 1302 melee hits per hour (1500 max)) 2/31st more dps or about 6.4%. However more realistically you get 60 claw specs per hour (1.2 dose of spec recover per minute) which is 5% or so. Outside of Kuradal's a claw hit is maybe 1.5 rapier hits so you could say 2-3% more dps. Without special recovers it's 24 claw specs per hour, so around 1% more dps, or 2 in Kuradal's. By comparison, a Bandos chestplate is around 2% more dps, tassets 1% and a fury 1% also. But for those items you don't lose EE/EEE so if you still need healing, bcp is a better choice for sure.
  6. 5 + (level + 8)(gear bonus + 64)/64 ^Formula for maximum accuracy roll, defence roll and damage roll (of course some other things get multiplied into this like void). With these 3 you can calc any damage output between players. Monsters are harder because their defence is unknown.
  7. While LRC may be weak to crush (which is hard to test) their defence level is 1. Which means they will have low defence no matter what.
  8. A proper Welsh name like Blodyn Cryn .
  9. I like the cape requirements as they are, I can see myself getting all 80s, probably all 90s, maybe completionist and probably never trim. But that doesn't bother me, I'll just go try some castle wars games should I finish skilling and see how I like it. The issue of inconsistency doesn't really bother me, I don't think it's that inconsistent, but of course higher-levelled rewards for other minigames should be included. However quite few have a 'level' system or a reward for playing a lot. For example GOP, Stealing Creation, Fist of Guthix etc. don't really have permanent rewards (CW tickets are pretty permanent due to no degrade and 100% resell, though you lose some on ballistas I think?).
  10. Moved to Website Updates & Corrections, maybe someone can confirm here.
  11. First off, you were wrong because Zerker Ring = +6 Hit, not +18. Secondly, most people can afford Zerker, but ROW is better if they are looking to spend 2 minutes more finishing their task in hopes of making a quick 20M. A berserker ring is +12 to max hit most of the time, more with void. An imbued ring is +24. That's 6 and 12 to average hit respectively. But since average hit = 1/2 (1+max hit), a % max hit increase = % average hit increase. No need to use average hit increases unless you're talking soak/damage cap etc. Incidentally a ferocious ring would be equal to ~+13 strength bonus if you look at max hit, but it's really equal to ~+27 due to the average hit.
  12. For wyverns, I find they are faster than waterfiends charm-wise (before iron titan). So I do them for charms, but they are slow xp. Mauling wyverns is hard to do well. You really got to wear your Bandos + fire cape and pray ranged, flash ss every single hit and switch to dfs when you are frozen.
  13. Quyneax replied to layo90's topic in Help and Advice
Hellhounds are simple in that you can lure them to have only 1-2 attack you at the time. Dagganoth don't work that way as they use ranged attacks. I wouldn't use a rapier on dags or spectres but I would on hellhounds and mutated bloodveld.
  14. Dagganoth (cannon under Lighthouse). Black demons (cannon under Taverly). Dark beasts (cannon under Temple of Light, not Kuradal's). Aberrant spectres (cannon under Pollivneach). Black dragons (cannon in the Evil Chicken's lair). Hellhounds (cannon in the resource dungeon). Bloodvelds (cannon under Meiyerditch). Greater demons (cannon in the Forinthry dungeon). Kalphites (cannon in the Do No Evil cave). Suqah (cannon east of the Livid Farm). Ice strykewyrms (cannon). Tzhaar (Jad under 45 minutes). You can also do blue dragons (cannon in resource dungeon), nechryaels (chin or steel titan in the Chaos Tunnels), living rock creatures (cannon) and maybe terror dogs (steel titan) if you need more points. Iron/steel/mith are worth doing imo but they are not the fastest xp. I also do wyverns and waterfiends for charms, I recommend keeping those for triple charms (one task a week).
  15. I like this, it's practical. I can't help you with looking nice but pointing you to Tripsis' blog, she has a great house.
  16. If you still got WGS + 2 elites saved up, I'm sure you can get rc up to effigy range. I recommend black demons for summoning as they also drop effigies, and you can yak the ashes & altar them straight away (or sell and get bones). Good luck :).
  17. Is that supposed to mean you are available to join Green and Jimi? I hear they've been looking for a third guy to spice up their marriage. So soon, this can't end well :(.
  18. Spirit Implings and Charm Sprites say hi. :) And Dorgesh'kaan chests if you are into thieving. Soul Wars too, which is combat-based but doesn't require you to get drops or anything (if you are into pvp more). If you want to profit with hunter, hunt grenwalls. They are the best skilling money in the game right now.
  19. Very nice, incidentally, how are your other completionist cape requirements? And when do you intend to dungeoneer? And you really need runecrafting, do you have effigies you can open at 86 (with stew)?
  20. You can talk using /// instead of // :). If you read the guidelines & in general don't mess up you are most welcome to join us. I recommend going for 70 rc though. Also, getting your summoning level to the nearest multiple of 10 + 1 is also good, and turmoil is very useful. But you can dungeoneer well without them, so welcome :).
  21. To be honest it isn't widely used outside of combat. I can't think of many REAL uses for familiars, or times I've used them. I think the only real time I have is grhaaking natures. =/ Graahking natures was very important in runecrafting for money until the multiple runes update afaik. Lava titans are awesome, +10 levels increases your xp rates by a lot. All healing familars are nice for things like Pyramid Plunder. A bunyip can sustain you at so many semi-dangerous skilling places. Bobs, both for regular items and essence, speed up gathering materials, speed up runecrafting, greatly increase staying power anywhere. Granted it's still a combat skill, but it has the most non-combat applications of any combat skill besides magic.
  22. I read the second article because I heard some cc talk on it, so yeah. Disagree entirely. 1) Take away construction. You now lose a quick way to train prayer, a few teleports (but you already had these anyway, so what's the problem?) and 1-99 total levels. 2) Take away summoning. You can now no longer stay at any boss for more than a handful of kills. Dragons lose much of their profitability. Many skills become slower, some significantly (mining especially). And again you lose total levels. 3) Take away hunter. You lose some herblore ingredients, which would have to be relocated somehow. You lose some nice, but not-revolutionary items such as equippable harpoons, weight-reducing capes etc. And total levels. 4) Take away dungeoneering. Your kills per hour drops by 0-20% everywhere. You lose access to many nice, but not-revolutionary items such as bonecrunchers, scroll of life etc. You lose more total levels. Of course with all these skills you would also lose the way you gain xp. For construction, this is extremely boring and repetetive. It is the same for up to 35 levels then another 25 levels depending on your method. There is no random element at all. It is 100% predictable. For summoning, it's repetetive, however since much of the time spent is in combat, it's still partially unpredictable and random. For hunter the best method changes at times but the last ~20 levels are much the same (= 80% of the xp or more). It is however slightly random. For dungeoneering, it's heavily skill-based, very random, and team-based, which is something almost entirely new. The only thing it gets close to is Barbarian Assault (in a sense) but it's complexity and size give it unimaginable depth compared to all previous content. I might add that many people grow to like dungeoneering after level 70-80. In short, I think the writer doesn't know what he is talking about. This impression is fortified by the highscores of the account "Crocefisso" which is level 37 hunter and construction and unranked in summoning and dungeoneering. I strongly suggest that you gather some personal experience with each skill you dislike before pointing out the wrongs of said skill. Back to runecrafting now, fml <_<. P.S. I really liked the did you know this week.
  23. I have blocked: jungle strykewyrms, desert strykewyrms, fire giants, warped tortoises and gargoiles. Spiritual mages are a good block too, maybe dust devils. Focus your block list on Kuradal tasks as that's the master you will be using. Don't unlock aquanites. Then skip stuff like spiritual mages, dust devils, wyverns and waterfiends if you are going for xp. The last two are great charms though. Living rocks are mainly low charms and effigies but otherwise ok xp. Metal dragons are lowish xp. http://forum.tip.it/topic/280097-effigyscape-wip/ Example task list in section 5, trouble is that list focusus on effigies mainly. So you can skip slower tasks and take on more xp tasks (tzhaar).
  24. You can low-alch ores as you mine them from concentrated rocks and keep up if you use juju mining at congold. You can low-alch fish as you fish them from fishing spots and keep up if you barbarian fly fish. You can low-alch logs as you cut them from trees and keep up if you use an adze. Main uses of alching.
