  1. Wait, so you're suggesting that rather than purchase DFS you should pray to mage on dragons and just eat up the melee damage? You don't need a DFS to take no damage on dragons, just an anti-fire shield + antifire pots + melee pray will soak up all the damage. The DFS is an aesthetically pleasing luxury item only. And gem back will get many hundreds of gems. As for bonecrusher, I'd say it's more than 100k, still worth it though. You'll be training dungeoneering sooner or later anyway. These don't really matter to the question, since he's asking what he should do with 80mil towards equipment. Either way there are better rewards than these but do what you want with the tokens. I don't see the logic behind your cannon only though. I use it on many tasks on which I don't piety/combat familiar. With piety and a cb familiar you'll be able to kill all the monsters that are attacking you faster, but I agree that none of them are absolutely vital. Oh yeah, few more things I'd suggest: Get full void w/ ranged helm if you are not going to melee every single task. As well as a lot of potions (range/supersets/saradomin brews/s restores/prayers/antifires/s antipots etc). Also get the dagger for kalphites (preferably poisoned) and the new dagganoth axe, whatever that is. Ummm, no, get karil's/arma and use a full slayer helm, that will be faaaar more effective than full void while slaying. As for the dagganoth axe and the keris the whip outclasses them both (The dagger by far, and it just edges out the axe). I do recommend stocking up on pots though, though I don't think you'll need brews/rests for slayer unless you plan on DKing dag tasks. :P Responses are bolded, good luck slaying :^_^: .
  2. It's a lot cheaper to use the ardy 3 cape to tele to the monastery, since there's an altar right there and a bank close, plus you should be wearing it anyways for the stab bonus if you're going with the ZS+Super antis combo.
  3. You'll have to buy one of the weapons first in order to kill them, but if they drop one you can just sell that.
  4. Which could be a complete waste of cannon balls, you'd shoot the same amount, but not kill anything, it's happened to be quite a bit What do you mean a waste of cannonballs? As long as they fire (And Hit) they'll still do damage, and even if you do get attacked you can just kill them off later and they'll have less exp.
  5. Could try cannoning/ranging goblins in the Plain of Mud dungeon and work for a champ scroll at the same time.
  6. A better choice would be to use a whip + def and nietz helm with guthan plate and legs, and then put on guthan's spear and helm only when you need healing. Believe me, the near-complete afk is not worth the slow exp you will get without doing what I just stated.
  7. The only exp comes from the statue, but it doesn't steal the exp away from the action that produced it if that's what you're asking (ie if you were smelting gold you still get the exp from the bar as usual, you just got a strange rock as well).
  8. The other reason the spear is nice is that good shields don't come every round, so you may as well take advantage of the spare shield spot by using a two-handed weapon.
  9. No problem, good luck!
  10. i have black dragonhidel. would that work or should i buy karils. would like not too but i will Black d'hide will work, get Karil only if you are taking too much damage.
  11. They have no notable weakness, what weapon(s) are you planning on using?
  12. They do, though aren't the dummies in lumby unusable to high levels now? I don't know any other places where you could consistently cast stun...
  13. The same rate I hear, if anything a little slower but the difference is negligible.
  14. Also, just an fyi, even if it's single way combat the cannon will attack all targets in an area as long as you're not being attacked. An example would be safespot ranging black demons with a cannom, it will attack all the demons as long as you're not being attacked meaning that you can still range them  .
  15. aspeeder replied to Andy's topic in Help and Advice
You could rc whatever would be the most profitable rune right now, but that'd probably take a while. Problem is you're looking for a production skill that is slow and annoying enough that people value the products more than the raw materials. You could also duo Zammy GWD with said friend too...
  16. If I could do it myself, I wouldn't ask for help. I'm on a government computer and can't access any gaming sites, entertainment, music, games, media, etc. Sorry I didn't mention that earlier. This should be able to work then.
  17. Basically Duradel after While Guthix Sleeps.
  18. You can store all the essential tools needed for farming with a leprachaun, you can just right click him to see what those are and buy those from a farming store (It's a clay pot icon on the minimap, and for example there's one in the farm south of Fally). I would start out just doing one patch, meaning one full place with 2 allotments, one flower, and one herb patch;it's easier to manage until you get the hang of stuff (I used the fally patch, personally). Varies from plant to plant, Tip.It's Official Farming Guide has all the times plus a lot more beginner info. Best of luck  .
  19. Refer to the reply I posted here just a few moments ago. Ok that works, but which slayer master is fastest xp till level 75 slayer? I need 95K exp left :/ Use Duradel for now, and I'd get at least 85's if not 90's in your melees before really focusing on Kuradal (You can use her every 10th task to get a feel for her assignments). But make no mistake, she is the best slayer master to use once you have access to her.
  20. If you wear barrows and have a bunyip out plus an EE you should be able to tank her tasks no problem, but it's not too bad to train with a whip  .
  21. If you get bored with that you can always take a slaying break, but it's all about doing what you enjoy :^_^: .
  22. Refer to the reply I posted here just a few moments ago.
  23. Kuradal is the best slayer master, hands down. Her ring and dungeon, plus her good set list really shine, plus longer tasks might mean they get boring and take a while but they also minimize time to get a new task and switch equipment. If you want you can use Lapalok until your combat skills are straight 90's, but you can handle Kuradal now if you try. Best of luck slaying  .
  24. Supersets much? You there are still useful pots that are trade-able that don't require an arm and a leg and hours of training to use, they just aren't as effective as extremes/overloads (And superantifires, but that's beside the point). I would go with herb if you plan on boss hunting a lot; I casually slay so I'm planning on getting higher prayer first since it's cheaper and suits my needs fine. Supersets? You either; Use normal food which costs more gp/hp, less hps per inventory space (difference of roughly 40hp per slot), and losing combat turns from eating. OR you use brews to last longer but fight with base stats because Saradomin Brews lowers stats. Overloads you can just brew for food, restore back up and wait for the 15 second extreme set boost you would get. Sure, the Overloads do cost, but they make your trip last so much longer that it's worth using. And I'm not even finished; You can use Super Prayer potions and Special Recover potions to last even longer still. So Overloads >>> SuperSets. Plus the fact that Super sets require 3 times more space. It's pretty damn fair to say Super Sets suck compared to Ovls. Oooooor you can use a mix of food and uni/fruitbat scrolls, and most boss hunters do use those familiars or a war tort/pack yak. And I think you're giving the overload too much credit, if you drink more than 2 doses of brew in the 15 second recover time you still have to use some kind of recover or your stats will degrade, and the only real place you drink less than one dose per 15 secs soloing would be SGWD. Furthermore if you're on a team extremes are better since the boosts wear off eventually and last longer instead of going all at once, and you want to last as long as possible in a team. PLUS if you have a high pray soulsplit will FURTHER boost your hp, not to mention the faster kills from turmoil. And yes I realize that overloads are better than a superset, don't get me wrong, but there are substitutes for a high herb level but not for a high pray level, that's what I'm trying to prove here.
  25. Yeah, that's the downside. Remember to keep hold of your adamant defender if you make it to rune, or go get another one, but in all honesty I wouldn't have the willpower to get another rune one which serves the same purpose as an adamant one, save one measly bank space. Unless you really like bank placeholders, but that's beside the point, enjoy your defender!
