How many true friends do you have?
Heh. Most friends people have are as interesting as complete strangers. I'd say 2-3 is a good estimate for true friends.

[hide] Yes, its a stunning similarity to you and your pro-efficiency buddys bashing the author. Its really just a group of people against another group of people, i'm not seeing the problem here. You don't see the difference between one group giving examples, and the others simply playing a "leave Brittney Spears alone"? I'm sorry. If you don't see the difference, there is little hope for you. I think you're getting a bit mixed up. I didn't 'call for my friends'. Wingless is on the Times, and edited the article, he's going to have an opinion on it. Miss_Suzumiya came when I was talking to her and told her that I was having problems with the Times. So I'd like to say that I take offence to the idea that my friends come 'running to my defence'. I didn't ask them to, and suggesting that only people who aren't my friends are allowed to think I'm being treated unfairly is, well, unfair. STRAW MAN DETECTED. Obt never said you called for your friends, he just said that they came, because they always do when criticism of your work is in any way present. As well, they never give any reason why criticism shouldn't be given, other then "OMG ITS NOT A BIG DEAL". Since you are using a straw man, your whole argument falls apart. I also don't see where you got the quote "Call for my friends". It seems non-existent, and a figment of your imagination. If it does exist, it isn't in this quote, or in this train of debate, as is as such irrelevant to this particular train of debate. Now do you see why I continue to complain about poor quality of the Times, when such simple logical fallacies are continually perpetrated. [/hide] I would almost agree with you. But here is the thing - Assumptions are present, but never stated. So I'd disagree with your second paragraph.

Abortion
You're comparing apples and oranges. Maybe you should compare it to birds or turtles, creatures that lay eggs. Are you allowed to go smash turtle eggs in the UK? Its illegal in America. Never heard of someone performing an abortion on another animal... maybe we need to give them those rights? Accidental breeding and we should *fix* the accident? I guess. So, when the world starts overpopulating (which is already happening), would Abortion still be considered murder? The world isn't overpopulated. The world's wealth is badly distributed. This overpopulation garbage is just something said by those who don't want to accept that the wealth they have they don't deserve. That's not to say certain areas aren't overpopulated. So, is Africa/China not overpopulated? Seeing as China has such a great mass of people, having kids is actually a burden for the country. Instead of potential life contributing to the society, it's wasting resources. Another interesting question sparks up; If there was a test to find out if your baby has health issues before it's born, would you try it (if you're a girl)? And would you abort the child if you knew it was going to live a horrible life? As I clearly stated in my post I was referring to the world as a whole, not certain areas. I'lll be posting a topic in the next few days that's somewhat related though. The world may not be overpopulated now, but fertility rates are higher than ever before, and it won't be too long before we reach tipping point. And I think, if there is a way, the baby shouldn't be aborted, but taken out of the womb and placed in some kind of life support system instead. Forcing a woman through 9 months of pregnancy isn't always the best option. "You should have thought it through, and worn a condom" - Sometimes, they do think it through, but condoms break. Or a Vasectomy fails. Or a pill doesn't work. It's very hard to prove those cases, but they do exist. And to keep the child sometimes is a mistake.

Efficiency
Almost every skill has the same outlook. Take fishing for example. I can either; Fish whilst talking at Otto's place, Fish at Piscatoris, Flyfish at Shilo with a bank, Fish Sharks, or Fish Rocktails. I find Monkfishing slow and often too tedious, with little clicking to do, but spots constantly changing. I hate it, because I have to pay attention to it, but I barely need to do anything (So it's not a watch youtube thing either). Also, it's slow xp. Fly Fishing with a bank; Requires too much running. I dislike it because again, it's not powerfishing, it's a repetition of a pattern of clicks, and spots change too much here too. Shark Fishing: Far too slow. Checking on the Xp and finding out you've only gained 2000 fishing xp the past 5 minutes is very discouraging, and isn't even good profit. Fish Rocktails; Haven't done too much of it, but it's chill and I like it. Not the greatest Xp in the world, but hey, I like it. Reasonable profit too Barbarian fishing; Ah. Pretty much the same as flyfishing, but you get to drop fishies instead. I actually somewhat enjoy it, because the xp gained is fast (which is good, because if I want a higher level, I obviously want to see a little progress), and because there is something for me to actually do. And since spots don't move constantly, I can watch youtube clips or talk in clanchat between dropping periods. Seeing above, I can say that fun is an important factor. Not sure if it's the best example in the world, but I do Rocktail fishing not because it's the best xp, it's because I like it. Although, there is a correlation between how much I like a method and xp/h, I don't always pick the better xp/h. I'm sure there are better examples, but I need sleep about now so I can't provide any right now. Perhaps I'll post tomorrow

Today...
You'd be surprised how much you'd use English and Math in real life scenarios. Not so much of science, but Math, English and IT is constantly used all the time. I had a crap day today. Was kind of average, except my laptop has decided to break. I know it's probably a wire in the monitor that isn't wired correctly, or loose. Basically the entire screen 'shakes' up and down, which can be either 'okay enough to make posts' or 'completely fuzzy screen of death'. :|

I disagree, that guy is a jerk. He holds unpopular opinions and is very argumentative, to a point of fault. His posts may be good, but that doesn't mean he has to be your favorite. (referring to sees_all1) See, that's a matter of opinion. I love a good debate, so unless he also happens to be a troll, I am fine with it. Let's not name names in a negative light now, mods are lurking

I think it would be a stronger case if there were two sides to the argument, instead of one person constructing an argument that will still end up slightly biased, however 'fair' you try and make it seem.

Vegetarianism
Talk about horrible - look at that analogy. Buying food that originated in misery farms is not the same as hiring an assassin, not even close. Firstly, a lot of consumers are ignorant about the miserable conditions (or they are aware of them, but do not want it that way), whereas the person hiring the assassin is directly asking for the miserable condition of murdering a human. Secondly, if a person were to stop being a consumer of those misery farms, it wouldn't really have an effect, whereas the hiring of an assassin is completely up to one individual - they are the direct cause of it. Thirdly, there is a substantial difference between a cow and a person. So I agree with Not Trolling. The problem lies within the factories, not on our plates. Well yeah you do have a point, analogies usually suck and so did mine :P I don't agree with the last line though, since you can buy meat that wasn't produced in misery farms. The factories are basically able to exist because no one really objects, it's (watch this another analogy, watched movie about abolition of slavery last week) a bit like the slave trade really, most people thought it was okay or at least they didn't really care until a few individuals pointed out the flaws in the system and eventually even made the slave trade illegal. I honestly think we as a pretty advanced species should be able to survive without killing animals for food, and since someone has to start you might as well do it. Won't ever happen though ofc because most people are pretty uncapable of long-term thinking. Just because some factories have poor practices, doesn't mean they all do. And I disagree with your point "since you can buy meat that wasn't produced in misery farms". That is unfounded and untrue, you can buy meat that isn't produced in poor conditions, it just isn't very widespread yet. This isn't our fault. All the government has to do is enforce fines, or taxation on meat products that are produced in a non humane way. However, this raises the question, what is humane? EDIT - It seems that I have misinterpreted a typo. My point will be defeated if the quoted post was indeed talking about the ability to buy meat through 'non misery farms'. If quoted post's interpretation was indeed a typo, then my point still stands.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Top 5 what? I barely even talk to you L Haha, top 5 contributors to this topic. O... I see. A few annoying things that happened earlier; Old smelly people on public transport, 12 year olds with an attitude problem, People not picking up the phone for no reason (but they are there!), People who talk in a sarcastic tone all the time, and lastly, semi-deaf people. Worse when it's a teacher. I DON'T WANT TO TALK LIKE THIS FOR YOU TO DECIPHER WHAT I'M SAYING

Im lost! Back after 2 years o.O
Fun is subjective to person to person, so I can't really help you out there. Dungeoneering is a new skill released a few months ago, which is basically raiding a dungeon. You basically have to do as much of the dungeon as possible, beat the boss, and finish the dungeon to gain xp (as you can tell, I'm not a very good dungeoneer, I don't know too much about it). The best way to gain xp is through using a very good 5 man team on higher floors, which you can learn about on this; http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Dungeoneering Summoning is an old, but very very useful skill. You can gain xp in Summoning mainly via making pouches, but it costs an awful lot. To make pouches, you are required to have; A secondary item, such as a raw chicken, some shards (which costs 25gp each), a pouch, and a charm. Everything but the charm is buyable. To obtain charms, you simply have to kill charm dropping mnosters. There are many good charm droppers out there, which can be anything from 30 charms per hour to 150 charms per hour. You may be asking 'Why would I want to waste money on summoning?' The answer is, Summoning is very useful. From level 52, there is a familiar called the Spirit Terrorbird, which can store up to 12 more items for you. At level 68, there is a healing familiar, that heals 20lp (2hp in old RuneScape) per 15 seconds, which is great for training. For the higher levels, such as 95, you can have an Iron Titan, which is a monster that can max triple 200's (Three separate melee attacks, which is the special for the familiar). A yak can hold 30 items, and the special ability can send items to your bank from anywhere. Which is incredibly useful. The last, but definitely not least, is the Steel Titan. The ultimate destroyer of familiars. It has a ranged attack special, which hits 4 times, maxing up to 240 each. You may also notice that there is a Grand Exchange, which is basically an AFK market where you can make buy/sell offers for items. There is a 5% limit on how much you want to spend, so between 95%-105% of the 'trade price', which is the average price of the previous day's trades. You may also notice there is a Wilderness Wall, and a lack of PvP wilderness. This is due to the December 10 update in 2007, which removed all forms of Real World Trading, because Credit Card Fraud would have put JaGex out of business because it was getting out of hand so badly. One of the annoying parts of that update is that your 'trade limit' will be very low (5k gp for non questing players), but will be increased for friends. Your trade limits goes up as you quest more, and people on friend's list for 1 month will have a doubled trade limit, and it quadruples after a few months (not sure about the figure) If you want to educate yourself a little more about RuneScape, you should read a little on the recent updates, and browse RuneScape Wiki a bit too. Hope this helps

You can suggest an article all you like, but I'm sure it would be better for you to write it. A writer won't be as inclined to write about your things as much as they would theirs. Honestly, people are taking offence at such slight things, are you all newbs to the internet or something? Don't really want to begin writing a 1500 word article to find out that it won't be used =/. I think I'll try and write an article with a few buddies later, probably. Hmm

Pretty cool, since it's very hard to get much prayer bonuses in a void setup. Would probably benefit range more than melee, I suppose

Elite Void? I can't see any information on it on the Rs Wiki, does the 'eliteness' add anything to the set or is it just for the looks?

So, Racheya, will you be making a two-author article next time? One from your own viewpoint, one from the other side, and someone to edit out the grammar mistakes? And uhh, can I suggest article ideas?
