The same question has been asked for Divine Spirit Shield and Elysian. I'm just wondering what to buy - Rapier or Maul. Maul in PvP will own... but Rapier will own more. Hmmmm!

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
[hide] So what, there are 3 ways to go to the dungeon peninsula (and the only positive thing about the many portals is not that you are going IN with them, but the going OUT option). You can view the ring as a teleport spell and the 2 other ways as portals ... I don't see the difference between limited house space and limited dungeoneering space ... I build a house that people can visit with the skill. I don't trade tokens for that table, or that bed, or that shelf.... All other skills: Training skill -> Skill levels -> Resource, product or abilities. Dungeoneering: Training skill using a non-tradeable version of items already existing in the game -> Skill levels -> EXP calculating machine -> Tokens -> Unrelated items to the dungeons or the monsters. If I have it my way, those reward items, your so-called product of the skill Dungeoneering could have been added to the game in one way or another. A new boss to drop the level 80 combat items. A few new slayer monsters to drop the amulets and bow enhancer. A new minigame involving mining to give the coal bag. A farming D&D to give the scroll of life. And they would make much better sense as well. Now, try giving fish through woodcutting, or building a house using mining. If you ask me, the way something is implemented is as important as what that something does on its own. Take the re-colouring of inifinity robes and whips. Which one has more bang, incorporating the concept of magic and elemental colours, or just attaching the ability to colour the item through an unrelated minigame? [/hide] Pretty much sums up Dungeoneering. A minigame that is apparently a skill. Makes Sailing almost sound godly

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Umm. I think Elysian will probably feel the effects of the new skill more than a Divine. Chaotic shields are like a mini divine, and a few friends who has Elysian is already planning to sell due to Chaotic Shields.

CAUTION: Java Client is Killing at Random!
In one of the system updates, a Jmod said there were a 1/30 chance you'd get a game crash when wondering around the new demonhills place. Happened to me in Bh worlds several times. This is why I don't risk a bunch

http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/combat_weapon_types This KB page gives a rough idea of how the attack speed system works. Swords are tier 6 attack speed, along with Daggers, Scimitars, Zamorakian Spear, Saradomin Sword, Abyssal Whip, and several others. The in-game rapiers and daggers are both tier 6, but as no one has the Chaotic Rapier yet, we can only guess that it's the same. I assume it's reasonable to guess weapon speeds with the fact that similiar weapons can be used within the dungeon.

Damn. Everyone should get their facts right. Corporeal beast will halve all non spear damage (not sure about ranged). So he's not just weak to stab. He's weak to stab if you have a spear. No chaotic weapon will beat Zs against Corporeal beast. However; The rapier is as fast as, or faster than a whip. Coupled with the fact it trains strength, and has 20 more strength/attack bonuses, it's the best dps weapon in the game for melee. The maul would either be Godsword or 2h speed. Perhaps faster, I'm not sure, but with 20 more strength bonuses than a godsword, and 167 crush bonus, it should do pretty well at Bandos. The Longsword... I don't know about that. I think it's going to be like a onehanded godsword. I'm not sure.

How to catch someone siphoning gas
This thread reminds me of reading Cracked articles of how some guy electrified the living crap out of his roof. Which caught fire. The best thing you should probably do is catch them on cam with a 'night sun' shining at your truck (a really damn bright light, try find one that doesnt consume too much energy). Very easy to get infrared sensors connected to the light and camera. It's either that or switch your hoses. ... Or arm it with a taser so anyone touching it would be electricuted without doing major damage to your vechicle. (Kinda going along the bear trap idea.)

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
Hmmm... a confession. Got the perfect one. When I daydream, I imagine the ability to stop time. Like a pause in a movie. Sometimes, only sometimes, I imagine undressing people for lolz and drawing them. Also I stare at my own poop. Regret? Posting this.

You lose everything on a PvP world. On Bh+1 you keep it if its the highest alchable you've got. I hate training this 'new skill'. But, the rewards are a good incentive, even make's hawks dagger look weak :o. I consider this minigame as a 'bigger sc' that is supposedly a skill now. The sad part of these weapons is that they are only base hits, so not as effective in PvP as you might think. No surprise hits with a special.

Bursting for 88 summon
Ya know what I suggest? Don't even try, you'd get crashed constantly for 2 things; Weak mage level Using Ice Burst. It's like solo bandos with 80 melees. Someone WILL crash you. Do waterfiends.

what to fight?
Chaos druids, Abberant Spectres, Flesh Crawlers, Green Dragons (good luck getting a kill though... try cannoning), Blue dragons?, Dagannoth Kings maybe, Snakes in Mos'le Harmless Herb cleaning and unf potions are also good money. Some exceed 1m/h with herblore xp. Snakes in mos'le harmless is shabby for xp, but good for a low level. Big stats doesn't make you good there, fast clicking does.

Training Advice
Your best bet is to get P2p. It really expands your options. You should go flesh crawlers with a full inventory of food (anything that heals above 10) tbh. I'm not sure if the F2p version drops the same herbs, which is the problem. Hill Giants are only a good option because you're f2p. You make a TON more just killing blue dragons (green is far far far too packed). ... once you get p2p, I'll post some new options. Herb training is very good money as long as you dont do potions. Herb cleaning usually exceeds 1m/h, same with unf potions.

Bossing questions
Look. With better stats (than op's), there are so many things that could earn over 1m/h it's just insane. Scroll making, Pouch trading, flipping, long term investing, unf potions, barbarian potions, herb cleaning, tanning bloody snake hides, gem mining, mining rune with a magpie, tds, bandos, corp, dks, armadyl, sara, green dragons. The list goes on and on and on. As said in the Slayer Sucks! thread (somewhat outdated now with turmoil, fero ring and extremes), Slayer is only 'efficient' for slayer xp. There is no argument that there are many superior methods of making money. However, Slayer training will ofcourse, feel more casual than solid grinding. Something that cannot be put into numbers. So basically - Do slayer if you like it. If not, dont.

Bossing questions
Wow, reading through this little thread, I see ignorance. Seriously; Your stats are more than your gear. Bandos makes you hit 1 higher, 20 strength levels would make you hit something like 10 damage more. (I'm talking about hitpoints, not lifepoints, multiply everything here by 10) Dfs isn't really worth it. Just use a anti shield. I can be in full Adamant and crash full Bandos easily on a slayer monster. Not a great slayer myself, but I know for a FACT that bandos is no requirement for slayer. Cannon your tasks when possible. Use piety on stronger monsters (Waterfiends). Skip/block those hard/slow to kill monsters. It seems you've been teased into thinking that your gear is what makes you good. It barely makes a difference. PS evil_eye is just trolling.

Bandos?
Sounds cool for flipping. I think Bandos will probably slowly follow the trend of the Armadyl Godsword. It will slowly decline back down. Or the opposite, as mentioned, summer is coming.

Highest profiting non combat skill
Heh You have so many options, it's kinda surprising. Let's see... Gem Rock mining Making Unf Potions (make your own spreadsheet, or use runescape wiki's rarely updated calculators) Cleaning Herbs (not the best gp, but roughly 700k/h, plus the magpie makes it like 850k? I did Irits... 7k herbs cleanable per hour if you use mousekeys to spam the + and the 5 key whilst moving your mouse with your right hand) Scroll Making Fitting in Herb runs in between your activites Doing MTK on 10 Herb and 5 something else Use a familiar to spawn items such as fruit bat for papaya Pick fungus for the lolz Runecrafting is just bad, but an option And last but not least, PvP. Sure, it's combat, but it's different to PvM which I'm assuming that's what you're talking about. So yeah. P.S. Having a Magpie out increases average profit by 150k/h

How much would whip cost if it could train strength?
Maybe when camping whips become 2m/h, they'd stop. Maybe. The thing is - Saradomin Swords don't have the same supply as whips. But I'd expect it to hit above 10m for a while at least.

Saradomin godswords uses for slayer
Halp I need 2 do teh clue scrollz @ lvl 50 wildy come halp me w72. (I'm kidding) I think Sgs has become something of sentimental value, not a weapon of usefulness.

'Bonus XP Weekend' Economically Benefitial?
I'm not flaming, but it seems the creator of this thread is a little sort-sighted. Sure, more people train Summoning for roughly 10 hours, but once someone reaches their goal level, they won't train it as much. Due to the xp weekend, less resources would be used in the long run and less shards lost, which makes xp weekend a contributor to inflation. As Bladewing/Stringcheze has already stated, points 1 and 2 are weak arguments. People stop player killing for roughly 1-2 days. There's another 363 days to Pk in that year, thus effects aren't noticable. Same could be said about Slayer, and the panic dump on high end armours/weapons. Point 3 = Thread. Not much more to discuss really

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
I've been waiting for that update for almost two years now... There doesn't seem to be enough attention focused on it, as it's rarely discussed with Jmods. Perhaps someone here could suggest that on high level forums.... but otherwise, I wouldn't expect any patches on it anytime soon. Is it even possible to report the rogue as a bug, since nothing is really supposed to have infinite demand?

Untradeable Potions
1) You aren't responding to anything in my thread. Please make your own thread if you want to write about these things. 2) I never suggested these potions be made tradeable. 3) How about you give a better counterargument than "making things harder and more annoying is good", because it's pretty weak. I'm not offended, your arguments are just weak, impertinent, and/or just false. If you have something legitimate, post it. Lol, totally agree + support your thread. Why untradeable potions aren't allowed in a familiar is beyond me. I know it's untradeable therefore it couldn't be, but beyond that reasoning there is nothing else.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
A clan hit emerald rings. That forced cut emeralds up, then uncut emerald, and since emeralds cost so much, rubies naturally rose to maintain the gap and then diamonds did. Sapphires just rose to try to keep up with the rest. Don't you just love manipulation clans' effect on the economy? I know I do! :wall: Oh so that's what happened to dueling rings  , they cost so much now. Btw, what's a good way to work towards a higher end rare? Like a red mask/ phat? I probably will never be able to get one, but I'd like to know. Would camping for tokkuls for onyx's and farming wergs be a good idea to start? Kinda offtopic and double post but I'm gonna point out something; Gold jewellery is probably going to be manipulated ALOT more now, there is infinite demand at ge min with the Rogue from summers end, thus if used as 'junk' whilst crashing, it'll be 95% GE Value. This will probably explain why sapphire rings and emerald rings got 'manipulated', although at first seems a fairly bad choice.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Purples are pretty much the same as easter eggs which are like 330M, so you have a way to go. Unless you snipe an easter on the GE....then again you would still need 200M junk.... Junk isn't too hard to obtain, if you look closely at making unf potions and cleaning herbs, sometimes that makes like 2m/h for junk (lol ranging mixes were ruined a few days after i supposedly 'leaked' it)

Saradomin godswords uses for slayer
How dare you, log into tipit but not msn >=(. I think this topic has become another version of 'slayer sucks', really. Back on topic; I'd say Sgs is outdated, but I'm no slayer, so I couldn't really comment. In Kuradel's dungeon (assuming you do Kuradel tasks), I would think the ferocious ring 32 damage bonus for claws far outweighs the 20 hps you get from Sgs. But, to be fair, I'm no slayer but Dclaws will always be over Sgs. Too bad it's alch value is so low and is sometimes risked if you carry barrows..

Cheating... Or is it...?
If you feel the wheel, it only gets input when it "ticks"... unless your mouse is overkill and uses analog input instead of digital. Anything more than one action per tick would be cheating. My mouse has a "button" to remove these "ticks" / "resistance".... So with 1 turn it can actually spin "endlessly"... (alright probably only 10-20 rounds).. In that mode I can say how much of a turn would force an event. Still digital, but considerably higher performance (0.36 degrees is the smallest portion it can notice). Very interesting, I must've previously misread and thought it was just mousekeys. But there's a flaw with the roller key, how would you move your mouse precisely over the herbs and how would you prevent 'dragging' of the herbs instead of cleaning? Hmm, the only problem I'm having with herb cleaning is moving to the second row, it wastes so much time. Hmmm.
