  1. I'm still sad Extr'Emotes were disqualified. I loved that vid =( I'm stuck with boots of lightness and ardougne. I'm going with boots of lightness (requires some neat skill to edit like that)
  2. Okay... slowly... OMFG GRATZ ON LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
  3. wait wut? statuettes update caused alot of inflation, which affects the prices of EVERYTHING. That's the only reason it caused the economy to go on the fritz Dragon bolts(e) won't affect the prices of anything but bolts. Maybe it will mean more people will hunt armadyl because dragon botls(e) are effective there or maybe more people will range PK due to cheaper dragon bolt(e) prices but i hardly expect to see a significant change in the economy beyond anything with a single degree of separation from dragon bolts(e) if anything, the GP potentially removed from the bannings after the players managed to sell off some of their dragon bolts(e), could help counteract inflation edit: nevermind, my bad, u said onyx bolts (e) Ye they alch for 9k each. So 50k x 9k= 450,000,000. That WOULD cause inflation The alching part is the painful and dangerous part. Jagex will surely notice someone alching hundreds of thousands of a certain onyx bolts (e)... But yes, the 'lucky/unlucky' players who duped these, just damn.
  4. Wow, another death potential bug? Hmm. I think JaGex knows so much about our accounts, even we'd be surprised. In scam reports we'd see trade logs, in normal reports we'd see chat logs, in adventure logs we'd see... adventure logs. The list goes on, JaGex will probably ban very suspicious players without thought.
  5. Awww... I was really hoping for the Extr'Emotes vid to be in the finalists. Guess he didn't change his vid title. Damn, it was such a great vid too =( I don't really have a favourite out of the ones Jagex chose, most seem kinda lame.
  6. Wow, come to think of it, if people made onyx bolts (e)... this would be worse than the Statuettes update. However, this is actually bug abuse and will cause mass bannings. Let's just watch the economy rupture.
  7. I would leave a nasty, inappropriate bathroom joke... but this is tif and posting rules says I can't =( Serious confession; I pigout on the greasiest things every weekend for the lulz. Don't ask why, a teen's gotta do what he's gotta do
  8. Assume Nothing replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
:o Had to take it out of context, sorry. My day has been pretty average, so no point wasting time talking about it here. Had an hour long debate with my mum about where bad breath comes from, >.>
  9. Lol, kissing someone with bad breath is just gross. >.< Kinda feel for you on the chap at your school, there are plenty of people with foul breath. What makes it worse is sometimes they are amazingly attractive but kissing them would be epicly gross with the bad breath-taste.
  10. Lol, yeah sometimes bad breath can get so bad you can actually taste it. >.<
  11. :o Are you saying you are 400lbs, and have the ability to defeat a vicious, adult whale in the water with your bare hands?
  12. Even if say a figure of 90% of the item will not be sold, a MASS abusing of this bug will still bring in plenty of enchanted bolts. Let's just say the crash of the ranged ammo has begun.
  13. Hmmm, thought this bug was unpatched until I reread the topic. Anyways, bugs like these are bound to happen. At least this year isn't like 2009. Lol, Pvp bug, Runetek 5, Infinite Prayer, Stackable Prayers, F2p Smite, Targ bug, Penguins, etc. I guess every single bolt is going to crash now. Let the chaos... ensue!
  14. Furthermore, despite what merchants may think, a staff of light is not worth 100m, 150m, 200m, etc. Not even close. That's why Jagex sets relatively low starting points for items. Sometimes they get it horribly wrong, like with dragon claws, but I'd say they got it pretty close with the SoL. Kind of unrelated, but I remember that when spirit shields came out, I had to catch my breath when I saw the GE prices. It just seemed unreal to me that they would price them so high. Kind of funny to think about nowadays when a divine is worth over 500m on the GE. When I first saw the Sigil prices, I was shocked too. But the combination of usefulness, rarity and status symbol of the Divine/Elysian spirit shields, Jagex has actually hit pretty much on target with the release price. Oh and by the way, any item with street value, will NEVER hit that number on the GE. Okay, maybe a few do, but the buying power of gp decreases during the rise, so technically they still don't. Would an easter egg ever actually hit 300m? No, not really. Merchants lose confidence in the item as the GE price changes. For example - When whips had the recolouring update, people offered mints for them. One day it was "Selling 2 whips 3 mints" and one ge update later it's "Selling 5 whips for 1 mint". People lost confidence in the item because it will not rise for much longer, thus selling them for less mint cakes. I'm kind of going offtopic here. I'll leave this post here. Kind of rambling alot today, heh. Sleep deprivation ftl
  15. I'm not too sure but I doubt they'd KNOW it was happening. I mean, if you knew your webcam is sending live feeds onto the internet, would you do nothing about it? Technically, it's the school's wrongdoing and they should pay the consequences, for invasion of privacy, breach of human rights, etc. Even though they caught the dude taking drugs in his own home, the way the school did it was illegal. I wouldn't really care much if these students were spied on in school, since normal security cameras do roughly the same job. But at their own home - The student could be.... say... masturbating? Nothing wrong with that, except for being taped by a school. Seriously though - I think schools should really get rid of the zero tolerance thing. They tend to push the line alot. I mean, 14 year old stripsearches and now this... what next? It turns out it can only take pictures, I had stated that on this page. Still... it is possible that there may be illegal content from the little picture cam.
  16. I see solar energy and geothermal having huge potential. Vast, untapped energy from the sun exists, and alot of the time the energy is wasted, poured directly back into space. If a simple 40 inch fresnel lens can boil a gallon of water, imagine what a power plant for solar energy could do. And these aren't even solar cells, it takes a stirling engine and some parabolic mirrors. The only downside is the fact that it completely stops when the sun isn't shining. Perhaps use this untapped energy as a reserve? I don't have time to make much more of a post now, I'll leave this here.
  17. By the way; This thread totally reminds me of this article, #1 guy, the "Godhand" http://www.cracked.com/article_16449_7-people-from-around-world-with-real-mutant-superpowers_p2.html (those lazy to click the link) Real Name: Choi Yeong-eui, later changed to Masutatsu Oyama Superpower: Super-Karate! Masutatsu Oyama was born in Korea in 1927 and later moved to Japan, where he studied karate. Unlike most famous martial artists, Oyama is not famous for his movie roles, where stunt men and clever editing can make anyone look like a badass. No, Oyama preferred a different sort of theater. He used to have live public demonstrations where he would fight and kill a bull with his bare hands. Just because it bears repeating, let's write that again: He could kill a bull with his hands. If you want to know how idiotically hard that is, we cordially invite you to go out and punch a bull in the face. Go on, we'll wait here. OK, we're not really waiting since whoever just went out to try that isn't coming back. All in all, Oyama fought and killed 52 bulls, three of which were killed instantly with one blow. Forty-nine had their horns chopped off with karate blows. He gained the nickname of The Godhand and was considered the living manifestation of the Japanese warrior's maxim "One strike, certain death." If you're thinking his skills only worked against livestock, you should know that Oyama once tested himself in a kumite, a series of two-minute fights against different opponents, each of which you must win to continue. Oyama took on 300 men over the course of three days. According to some, the only reason it didn't reach 400 was because opponents started to get tired of getting punched in the face. There have been three movies made based on his life: Champion of Death, Karate Bearfighter, and Karate for Life. That's right, there exists in the world a movie based on an actual man's life that wound up with the title Karate Bearfighter. Why? Because it's probable Oyama actually fought a goddamn bear once, and that bear is buried in a shallow grave covered in dirt and the tears of his relatives as we speak. Thus we introduce our superhero squad: Super-strong babies flying in jet packs, navigating with surgical precision through the darkest and coldest of nights, tearing your tanks apart with super strength karate blows and eating them, only to fly back up into the air and [cabbage] your own weapons back on top of you. Good luck sleeping, rest of the world. We hope our maniacal cackling doesn't keep you awake.
  18. Hmm, when you say barehand combat - Does it count steel-toe capped shoes? The sad thing is - Humans are pathetically weak in barehand combat, the only few 'easy' fights will probably be a shark if he doesn't bite you first. Just ride on it and punch it in the eye, alot. Any makeshift weapon would completely change the course of the fight. Say, a rock alone would injure an animal with correct aim.
  19. 20. So, how are Staffs of light doing? Ge wise, it looks like it's not major rising, and it's rising everyday so there is definately some form of supply because it's being traded. Has it crashed yet? I've seen a few threads of 'selling Staff of Light trade price!' so I'm slightly confused.
  21. Heh, another zero tolerance thread. I think it's stupid, and most schools push it too far. One of my old threads had a girl, 14, strip searched for.... wait for it... pills that are as strong as 2 Ibuprofen. Seriously? And what's worse - The alleged 'evidence' was apparently (very vague on this, couldn't remember much of it) a friend who said she carried it, thus the school decided it might've been attached to her nude body. The school in this thread should really be closed down, I'm pretty sure it breaches human rights laws. It's use of spyware/bugs, possibly contains child pornography, and more!
  22. Might make a few edits to the original post. Hmm.
  23. It looks like the ever so many topics there are. Having items traded does NOT make a money sink, however expensive said item may be. To see the economy, you got to think of the big picture. Anything that requires direct Gp into nothingness is a money sink. Such as summoning, the shards are bought from a shop and 30% of it becomes nothing at all even with pouch trading. Oh, and to reply to TrixStar; Making any new item super high value would throw off the economy, making real world trading very possible once again. Real world trading is what took the Wilderness away, so it wouldn't be a good idea.
  24. I agree, most people, no matter how pretty they are, will have bad breath. On the extreme cases of bad breath, it will also affect social life too. Even the chances of getting promoted in a job will be lowered, same goes for obesity.
  25. Well, I think you're wrong. Bad breath usually doesn't come from the stomach, the passageways are usually sealed somehow (wikipedia, forgot article). Things like yogurts are protein filled and tends to dry the mouth. Oxidation caused from a dry tongue and bacteria feeding off the proteins in the diary product would definately increase bad breath.
