Edibles are like mints (which, interestingly, also is edible). They're used as currency to trade for above-market (ge) items. If there's nothing trading on the stree for above the ge price, then there is no need for these alternative forms of currency (or for junk trading). As go partyhats, so will go edibles. But you won't see edibles crash completely until you see ALL of the partyhats trading in the GE. I'd say we're a ways away from that. On the other hand, the street price of all partyhats seems to be dropping. The only thing that continues to shoot up in street price is mints. They're well over 10m now. You do know that mint cakes are one of the most risky forms of holding street value right? It can crash anytime easily. Yet you can make a fortune if you play your cards right (street wise). It was relatively stable at 4-6m street and when 2lum dumped bunyips, they went right down to 1m street. Then it went volatile. The only current use for them is staking, rwting (the truth is hard to accept, but it still exists), and using them as alternate currency. Once they go up over 60k, they will be unstakeahle. Let's just watch the 'fun' happen.

I see every edible and forced edible (ie mint cakes) as 'hot potatoes', you don't keep them, you just sweeten a deal with em. Partyhats always have a natural demand, edibles don't. Edibles will sink rock bottom like the way black flowers are doing now.

I regard all mint cakes and edibles as adopted forms of currency. With Maple Longbow (u)'s being quite literally worthless, many just use hyperinflated manipulation items that will eventually sell when they lose half it's value or more. I agree with Llavada, they are regarded as 'hot potatoes' so to speak. All I see in w2 ge is literally people buying a mint cake and immediately trying to sell off a crashing with the mint cake or buy a rising with it. Althuogh, this speculation is pointless so I'll just leave this here.

Oh sorry Mr/Mrs. Jagex Games designer, you were the one whining about the fact that this isn't a GrandMaster quest because of it's lack of plot. Yet unable to defeat the monster that makes this Master Quest a GrandMaster quest. Jagex does what they want, just because the first one was 'truely epic' in storyline, doesn't mean every single one will be. Sure, this quest lacks a deep storyline, does that make it less worthy of being GrandMaster? No, because the bossfight was actually hard, you either need alot of skill levels for it or patience and knowledge of combat. I am not disagreeing that this quest can do with more plot, this quest... is GrandMaster with or without a grand plot. The boss fight makes it so, whether you like it or not. Eugh. Edit - Oh and if you believe everything Jagex says word for word, then Summoning would be both F2p and wouldn't even exist. At the same time. If that's even possible.

Excuse my ignorance but why the Explorer's Ring 3? That's not ignorance, that's curiousity/lack of knowledge. Explorer Ring 3 gives 1 prayer bonus.

Personally I don't agree with using Brews/Restores since you can't boost you stats because you must heal so much. I also don't suggest Rube(e) bolts since they're pretty weak other than the spec, I tried them and they didn't work too good. Plus do you really want effect to happen when he hits max-1 damage? :unsure: I would use Onyx(e) if I were you, just resell when done. Don't bring Obby Golem. Unless you can Summon Unicorn, a second familiar is a waste. A Rocktail healing 23 is much better than an Obby Golem. Before you head into the tent, drink a super set and re-reposit it so you'll have better advantage using Bandos Godsword special. Lowering his defense might help a lot, I never tried it myself. Also, boost hitpoints and prayer above maximum using Oo'glog spas. Apparently he's weak to stab. So Zamorakian spear or Vesta's spear is nice to consider. Void is good accuracy, can produce high hits and decent mage defence, all win and suitable for fighting Nomad. I agree with Goblin, unless you have a strong fighter (Guyser+) or Unicorn/Fire Titan, don't bring a second familiar. If you have unicorn, consider bringing 18 summoning potions in your tortoise so when you're out of brews, use the summoning potions and a unicorn for healing, that way you don't lose stats as you heal. It's like a 3 dose brew, but it takes more effort and time to heal. Best bring a few pieces of food too. Phoenix necklaces helps alot against his (maxbaselevelhp-1) special. Ddarts to locate him when he summons illusions. Soul split is a very good choice, and stick with either defence lowering special attack weapons or 'overpowered' ones, such as Vls/Dclaws/Swh.

Lol, first impressions. Anyways, from reading and seeing vids of the bossfight, it seems that the following may help; A yak, or at least a tortoise. I'd choose overloads and brews, but not everyone has overloads. Never seen this done but I'm pondering about using a unicorn after withdrawing summons full of summoning potions and healing with the special, that will never drain your stats, but takes slightly longer although it can be done without losing a turn of combat. Void is a must, good mage defense, he has properties similiar to waterfiends so it's mage based melee. Stab weapons such as Vesta's spear and Zamorakian spear, I'd think Vesta's spear is a good idea considering it does help alot compared to dying alot and losing money in supplies. Never use Godswords as main weapons, they are far too slow and you'll get ripped apart due to low dps. Special attack weapons such as Vls/Swh/Ags/Dclaws is also very useful. Soulsplit and Turmoil helps a ton, you hit harder, more accurate and heal whilst hitting, triple win. Knowledge of his (max-1) attack is very useful, from what I've seen you should brew up right when he freezes you. From personal tests, Shark/brew or other varients are faster healing, so carrying a few would be useful if you're low before he does his epic 98 on you. And don't JUST use a BoB for food, unicorns are good too! Uhh, can't think of much more atm. I'll leave this here I guess.

The snide answer would be "because PvP sucks" (which is generally true), but also that would involve too many variables for Jagex to control the difficulty (clans would have a huge advantage, etc.) I'm not saying you should have lost all your stuff or anything, but I do think some penalty aside from a few lost supplies would have been good. Well, Jagex could make it into a instanced quest area for PvP worlds, just an idea. I think Nomad is kinda like Corporeal beast, it's a strong monster that has too many hp's and protection prayers are pretty much useless. I would think it would be a interesting idea if Jagex made gravestones not appear on death within the area, and have to loot within 2 minutes. Now that'll be 'risk'

It looks to me as if Nomad is like trying to Solo corporeal beast, except not as hard (or harder, depending on how you define hard). It is time we had a quest monster like Nomad, this is LONG overdue in my eyes.

I disagree. I don't have 92 prayer, and while I do have 99 attack and other relatively high combat levels, I don't feel it's as difficult as everyone believes. The battle is practically the entirety of the quest and as such it should be set appropriately. The rewards don't have any extreme game-changing effects that compel you to complete it for fear of lessened in comparison to other players (unlike the Temple at Senntisten). Perhaps this is rebound "quest-capers" were looking for; their cape is more intensely coveted. But it is your opinion, I just thought I'd share mine. In addition, I might add that I thought the Decaying Avatar was more challenging than Nomad.
