  1. I somehow doubt it's these Strykewyrm. With confirmation from various Q&A's that Zaros is going to return within the year. I'm still siding with the Mahjarrat idea. We'll see.
  2. Yeah I read the whole post, and I'm not trying to start an argument here. You're the one trying to start a [bleep]ing flame war here. It was a legitimate question he never answered. Edibles have long been valued at around 60% the price of a santa hat, and aside from their use as a high-street item I'm unsure of what stops them from falling. Yes, you clearly are in the right here. Unlike santas, edibles have been bought out for a long time. Their street price is many times their GE price. (This morning, I saw someone in w2 trying to buy an Easter for 300m -- quite a jump from just a week ago.) Their primary use is as currency for partyhats and divine ss. My opinion is that as long as partyhats do not crash, neither will edibles. But if and when partyhats crash, edibles would be vulnerable, too. I think differently; Partyhats are less commonly traded on the GE. They will not reach their street price in a long long time. Edibles ARE being traded on the GE, and eventually edibles will hit their street value, and it becomes a 'non item' like mint cakes. It'll probably still be hoarded because people expect a rebound though. So I'm not sure.
  3. Awesome? This is bordering scamming in my opinion... He is getting ~250k plus drops from people that have next to nothing. He is only getting drops because of what he is risking. If this were the old drop system he would be getting the odd rune item and tons of arrows and other junk. um they risk as well. what is worse about this than killing welfarers or epers which I doubt you would complain about and properly do. would happily have drop system back tbh Sorry for being a bit rude the pker you made is just wicked. It's just the stupid drop system jagex has in place. How much do some of them risk? it looks like some of them have less than 5k on them and you are getting artefact drops from them. For instance the one at 30 seconds into the video. It looks like he has an iron helm and a steel sword yet you get an armadyl statuette which alone alchs for 450k. No one really alchs statuettes. They sell them to Mandrith for pure cash, which is some of the reason to blame on the recent inflation. Anyways, opponent has to risk 75k or more in a PvP world to even drop loot. Unless it was a target (you'd see a yellow arrow above the player), who doesnt even have to risk and can drop decent amounts (for level 120's like I, average is 1m+). You can only get targets once every half an hour to an hour, so that's not 'overpowered' or anything really. Just a different loot system. I would prefer old wild, but this is Jagex, they will not return it. Anyways, 999 is working on a 60 att dclaw pure now, I heard..
  4. Oh this thread is fun. Lol sw is crap xp anyways, why the hell do you care that it's not 'fair'. Stupid posters L
  5. Does anyone know the street of Onyx of all types, Uncut, Cut, Ring, Amulet etc... Hmmm! Would be a nice item to choose, if merchants choose it. Doesn't come in the game very fast with the updates.
  6. You're around a day late, they were selling max GE till people finally realised it was trash Yeah, when I first saw that they were increasing the rates of mint rewards I thought, 'OK maybe 1 every delivery, that will drop the street but not below a few M' So I stuck an offer in the GE for a bunch thinking I could snag some for a few M profit. As soon as I saw that pic on Page100 of getting 10 in 1 trip I knew it was a legit nerf and quickly removed my offer. Have any rares been effected in price because of this? It stands to reason that people will start moving their GP into other items IE: rares. I haven't many sources but apparently people just moved to manip items and chef's delight (m4) which isn't tied to other doses like most potions I fear this is a poor choice. Players might start mass-producing chef's delight (m4). (I've considered it myself.) Also Jagex could simply change the GE pricing so that its price works in lockstep with other dosages. But your referring to this as "manipulation" suggests that you might not understand what was going on with mints. Their demand increased mostly because they were adopted as an ad hoc form of currency that was needed to trade items that cannot be traded on the GE because their stated gp price is so far off. They became the anti-junk. The problem wasn't manipulation. If there was a problem, it was in the flawed Jagex trading system that made a form of currency such as mints necessary. No, I didn't mean mints were manip items. They were just antijunk as you said. It had demand to obtain other items as well as staking and lending. I'm just saying the people selling their item with some street value would go for items that are about to be manipulated by say, smoking mils, since mint cakes got heavily nerfed (30/h rate is my estimate). The Ge simply doesn't update enough to meet the 'real' prices. The GE is flawed in many ways. EDIT - Umm, rereading what you said, I think Chef's Delight (m4) just got a shot up in demand for a new item, probably not manipulation. I'm not great in the rares section of the market.

  9. Assume Nothing replied to Gem's topic in Rants
Heh. Runescape eh. I don't really know what to say. It happens all the time, just be the smarter player. Besides - If this happened in 2007, wouldn't you be able to ummm, start afresh?
  10. Uhhh, even Jagex stated something along the lines that even if they double up on bot detection programs, bot scripters can quadruple in terms of bot detection avoidance. From what I've seen, botters are usually smart enough to not get caught. Back on topic in reply to the OP; What people say doesn't matter. It never matters. You can be a noob for everything. Literally everything, thus you should ignore players that insult/taunt you. "Botter" is used similiar to the term "Nerd" or "Noob". Meaningless mostly because nothing actually implies that you are, a worthless comeback really.
  11. I agree with the OP. It's become more than just spam, it's like a disease that Jagex isn't doing anything about. There should be some sort of nerf like Mint cakes, but more targeted unlike the Old Wilderness and Trade Limits removal.
  12. Eh.... looks like a troll thread to me. Seriously, no one really should give a damn about other people with say, a strength cape at level 20. Unless someone is directly fighting against your resources or monster, who really cares? Sick and tired? Lol
  13. I wonder why people still are buying mints? People think it'll rebound after... according to some people, it's 30 mints per hour. If that's correct, then it'll definately tank on the ge value. 1.1m/h is pretty high..
  14. Owned!! Lol at w2 Ge. Good fight mint cakes :D
  15. Epic! Game to mint cakes, yay for free-er trade limits, w00t for double deaths and bloods and sweet updates! Looks like 2010 wasn't so bad.. Can't wait to watch kids panic in W2... :D
  16. My first thought was that prayer is now "no-honor" against NPCs. Those aren't even noobs. Those are ignorant tools of RuneScape. Yesterday: A few 130's were at az's, I laugh at this guy for training with Sgs and some dude just spouts crap for a whole hour because he thinks he 'won' the argument. Stupid people are stupid.
  17. I still like leaning towards the facing a location theory. I know RS Wiki can be full of bs but usually it's verified. " When the players stopped floating, they all faced a specific direction, which was north-east for anyone who was on the main plane of Gielinor at the time. (other directions were only reported if players were in a cave or minigame area) " This thread has kind of died, we'll just have to wait to see what Jagex has for us.
  18. So people bought his maple longbows and he goes making a argument about it. Heh. It's useful for mobilising armies. Simple as that. Read op. READ
  19. The topic title gave me the first impression "Scammers have stolen -x- accounts, and got caught by the police!" I think the account details etc you first gotta create your account with, plus your ip details would be enough to trace down your house. You wouldn't really expect any authorities to be actually called but you never know. I think it's good and bad that the police turned up. Good, because it teaches op's friend to not joke around suicide. Bad, because it might cause paranoia.
  20. I still find it funny how a hint that revealed nearly no new information has made a 34 page topic. We'll just have to wait a week to see what's going to happen. Probably has nothing to do with the Strange Power though, might be a update few weeks later.
  21. Going a little off topic, but seeing Jagex, it'll get postponed around 2 times or so. Hmmm!! Anyways, why are Jmods being so secretive about the Strange Power anyways, not even a proper anagram (I can't tell you or Acolyte Until isn't really much of an anagram...)
  22. Don't you guys think it's weird that after a massive hint, there's a no update week? I speculate something big..
  23. Lol monty python references. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Cultural_references
