Keep in mind this was 3 months ago, and it was taken on my laptop - which isn't that good of a computer. I use Windows 7 on my main computer, as well as the latest version of Firefox.

Thanks for the grats :smile: That's Rune (g) (or gold-trimmed) armour - it is not smithable, and is only obtainable through level 3 treasure trails. I just had it in my invent because I think it looks pretty good when you wear it with a trimmed smithing cape.

:smile: Got this 3 months ago, but didn't really bother posting lol. Took about a month and cost me about 85m (I did addy plates with sc hammers.) The original reason I got it was for the weapons/armour/high leveled smithing update that will be coming later this year. Had I known that it would take this long to come, I would've just spent the money on 88 herby and used extremes to monsterhunt my money back :wall: Thanks to mdeo, draz, string, and all the others who came on such short notice, I wasn't even intending on having a party but they came as soon as they heard :smile: Working on my terrible non-combat stats now (Yes - my hunter isn't ranked because it's 27 lol) and getting them all up to at least the min quest reqs. Then I plan on doing a monster 4 day weekend of questing for the qp cape (201 qp in 4 days - can I do it? Probably not, but it'll be fun(?) to try) lol Inb4serp.

This topic, like most, can be summarised up pretty neatly. If you can follow these 4 hypothetical scenarios, the so called "old" and "new" generations can co-exist. 1. If a lower leveled player asks a higher leveled player nicely for help, the higher leveled player should do all that's within his power to help the lower leveled player. 2. If a lower leveled player asks a higher leveled player rudely for help, don't tell them to [bleep] off, just add them to ignore/turn off public until they get bored. 3. If a lower leveled player is clearly struggling, ask them once VERY POLITELY if they need any help. Don't be specific, just say "Need any help?", and it shouldn't sound rude. 4. If the lower leveled player then starts to abuse you, calling you names, put them on your ignore list/turn public off. I'm part of the old-generation of runescape players (my post count might not indicate this, but, im not very active on the forums :P , I only post when im really compelled to), but it doesn't really matter if you're old/new generation - these should be basic rules of human society.

There are some screenies in earlier pages of these NPCs, they're all seers/witchaven folk and they don't impart any more wisdom to what the update may be... Nothing that me and my 6 foot godsword can't fix :twisted: EDIT: And no, that is not a euphanism for my special parts

But, anyway, if it really is a new gwd boss, it should require a kill of each gwd boss WITHOUT TELEING OUT IN BETWEEN before access through the frozen door should be allowed. That should test high level's hybriding/durability skills and make it nearly impossible to solo without nearly perfect gear/overloads/special new prayers

It's that volatility that makes it really easy to merchant though - it's capitalizing on the stupidity of the average player and simply going against the flow. A merchant is someone who buys when everyone else is selling (or, in this case, dumping,) and sells it when everyone else is buying. All it is is good timing. For example, right now, karil's skirts are falling now due to a bunch of idiots who got sucked in by a merch clan. When the price starts to stabilise again, buy the skirts for max to create a price increase and hence false demand, or wait for the merch clans to pick up the item again. Then sell it to the same idiots who are doing what the merch clan's say. Why should only the leaders of these pyramid scheme's make money? In effect, merchanting is diverting money away from these people...But i don't personally merch, it's too much effort, and I don't find money overly important (not when there's gwd around lol.) I just buy durables such as my set of full bandos and wait for the natural price increase due to inflation, and act on the whim's of the price cycle. Nice bank btw - a 60m bank just doesn't cut it these days, even if you got the majority of it from bandos in the last week :wink:

If you wear the full set, it has a chance of counter-damaging your opponent for 120% the damage your opponent deals. It also has a chance to reflect range and magic projectiles. That's just my idea. Lol, mega vengeance chance, as well as the chance to completely negate mage and range projectiles? Slightly too strong I think, all pkers will do is stack it with veng and along with the high-ish def bonus of dragon will just be too strong. It's also too strong for PvM, imagine being able to negate the corp's attacks, and when you do get hit, rebounding it's damage back to it. If there was a set bonus, a 10% increase in str and accuracy (like a salve amulet, but less powerful) would be appropriate. This would also not disrupt slayer/make it too powerful, as it wont be able to be used with the black mask. Also, pkers wont be willing to risk 40m+ just for a 10% increase, and if they are, good on them for risking a decent amount in the wilderness. Back to the main purpose of the topic - yeah, a dragon kite should be introduced and be valued at around 8-10m, and also have a modest strength bonus (like the dfs and obby shield.) It would be good considering dfs's are 30m and still shooting up, and the dragon kite will probably be easier to obtain than a visage from a dragon. The only reason the dragon plate is underpowered is because it is usually compared to cheaper barrows armor with more defense - but since no cheap barrows shields exist, I do not think dragon kites as a stand alone item are redundant
