Like others stated in the thread you made, stop price manipulating the whole sherade. Little will change, 3rd age will remain rare. There will be plenty of USELESS rewards to fill those 100% item trails.. Also, new 3rd age sets coming. Perhaps.. I don't expect any change to the gear other then a little drop due to more items being available. It is still the rarest gear in the game. Any guesses what affect all those new items can have on the street value of specific items? If the rates stay the same, there will still be a direct effect due to a TON more people doing clue scrolls for the new rewards. That means there will still be more 3a pieces coming into the market, and there should be a crash (although I can't speculate on the size of this)

First I was like "holy...no lifed a bit?" then I was like...ooooohhhhh...50 boots The 50 boots only sold for 3m...As I said, I have had quite a bit of luck in the party room, and I spent about 30 hours enchanting sapphire/emerald rings, which, depending on the market, gives 400-600k an hour. I also made a bit of money pickpocketing master farmers (i've had a good run of snap seeds, and a couple of torstols,) and I had a few inadvertant merches thrown in (for example I stocked up on d bones for 44 pray before the climbing boots fiasco, and the panic buying caused me to make quite a bit of money.) All that, combined with the boots. "ooooohhhh....50 boots" This is one of the problems - now every single pure is accused of making money solely through climbing boots, and it further discredits every single pure on the game. My bank is around 20-25m in worth, and I only gained 3m from the climbers update, as I explained in my previous post. This is a small proportion of my bank. I know most pures in the game are arrogant [bleep]s, but there are a small minority who are actually nice. I like to think I am in that minority, but now I have to deal with further sledging from every single account who didn't have any boots at the time, and are now just jealous/angry at every single pure on the game, based on a few players who had several thousand boots banked.

Just because blind wanted to see my bank pic. This is a 12 day old account, and before the flames come (omg, ur a pure so u must of hadz teh climbers,) I only had 50, which was only about 3m worth. The rest of the money was made from the party room, and I made a huge chunk of it enchanting sapphire/emerald rings all the way to 63 mage.

Yeah, but he said "something equally enraging but actually does something for the game" Dungeoneering does do something for the game - a lot of people enjoy it, but many of the flaws (e.g. the solo log-out bug) makes it a pain in the [wagon].

You're right there... If defenders, halberds, maces, claws, ETC. were inventions of humans, why are there supposedly ancient versions of all these created by Dragonkin? Perhaps all the weaker metal versions are based off of the original designs of Dragon equipment. Oh. Thought process: Trying to think of plausible origin :arrow: Defenders originated from the East (hence current back story of normal defenders and "made in China" stickers) :arrow: Dragonkin made Dragonite equipment :arrow: Dragonkin must've designed defenders :arrow: Dragonkin must've designed all equipment ... Also, time travel requires a boat (for some reason), and sailing isn't released until next year as well.

I just want to clear a point up - whilst I do think this update was a bad move (even though I myself had 100 boots sitting in my bank,) I believe people who are saying that this is "worsening an economy that is already plagued by inflation" are wrong. Sure, a few select items have been skyrocketing over the last few weeks and months, but this is mostly due to the actions of merchant clans. In fact, a lot of items are actually a lot cheaper now than they were a few months ago. Most food and potion items are a good examples - shark are finally hanging around the 1k mark each, and prayer potions at a little below 10k, when a few months ago these were 1.7-1.8k and 12-13k respectively. I think it is fair to say that a lot of durable items (such as weapons and armours) have gone up in price, but the ENTIRE runescape economy has not been going through inflation over the last few months. That being said, there is no possible way to estimate the effects of this update - due to the fact that there is no possible way to exactly estimate how many boots were out there, no matter how much anybody tries.
