Inspired by Spoofer's and Maz's tales of Corp glory on this thread, and having a couple of hours free, being bored of my 99 slayer goal (just hit 96, and I'm at the post-level let down stage...) and only needing 30m more cash to afford turm, I decided to go corp for the first time in a few months, and the first time since getting ovls. Thanks to Maz's pro guide, I could get at least 10 kills an invent using my relatively crappy gear with no turm :thumbup: That led to this... 8-man (?) Arc Missed (yeah, I know 8-man is a relatively large team, but I thought i'd go in it since I'm relatively nooby.) Yay for nearly 8m free lsp, and it brings me 1 step closer to a sigil of my own :thumbup:

FOG got too profitable, you get 10-15 tokens a game, and with tokens valued at how much they are for buying robebottoms and selling them in the GE (2.6k, iirc,) too many people started doing FOG to harvest tokens to buy robe bottoms, more robe bottoms entered the market, the street price decreased, and then they crashed, so you can't even sell them in ge. That's what happened.

Junk is, ironically, harder and more annoying to get than cash. With your stats, you could make far more money at dk's with a yak than making junk. However, if you just want to make junk to relax or something, I guess you could go to zammy gwd and get a buttload of addy p++ arrows?

You got 96, unless 10% would get you 99 (which it wouldn't), I wouldn't be too upset about it :P Would still bring me like 300k closer to 99 <_<

Since the book is able to be stored in a toy box, i'm going to assume it's equippable. So, by the end of the clue fest, we'll have a book, a magnifying glass, and full investigator outfit. Should look pretty good :thumbup: so far just a normal book, but maby once we fill it with pages? Of course.

Even another maxed melee person with overloads, turm and a steel titan couldnt crash you anywhere anyway. You'd just throw climbing boots at them until they went away :smile:

Yeah, all the bankers in RS can take a little bit of a rest, considering I just drastically reduced the amount of business I'll ever need to do with them... :thumbsup:

I reckon they'll just delete Lumbridge. Clean wipe it off the map. That'll take out the noobs. Then they'll delete the corp beast lair, as well as GWD and Waterbirth Island and Kuradal's dungeon. Again, clean wipe it off the map. That'll take out the combat pros. Then they'll make any action that gives experience cause you to spontaneously combust, which would kill you instantly, wipe your stats and bank, and display a "Mod MMG just owned your ass" sign on your screen permanently. That'll take out most of the rest. And all that will be left are all of the people who camp the GE, and brag about their achievements, as well as the trolls who are too busy trolling on the forums to actually earn any exp. To be honest, I think that's a fate that is worth than death :ohnoes:

A guy tried to tell me that Summoning is completely and utterly useless, and that at Nomad, using overloads will drain ALL of your stats and will lower your lp to 500 permanently and basically kill you instantly and that I should use "normal super potions" instead.

I'd just like to be honest and say I probably wouldn't have bothered if I had to spend 40 hours getting the ability to get a Cmaul and then had to turn around and pay 50m for it. On the other hand if 30-50m were simply the replacement price, but you still got the first one exclusively for your 200k tokens, I'd be fine with that. _______ I'd like to add to the whole "Circular argument" I seem to see above - Just because this is LIKE other situations doesn't mean the STAKES are the SAME. Having to spend tens of hours replacing an item (which CANNOT be gained through luck) isn't about the difficulty of the game or risk vs reward or anything of the sort. It's about masochistic torment. (Just FYI I enjoyed the first half of my DG journey. After that it wasn't much fun. There will always be people who genuinely enjoy things, of course.) Oh also, losing an item meant for combat in combat is different than losing an item (IE discontinued or cosmetic) in combat that wasn't meant to be there in the first place. There's probably more to add to this but it is seriously late(early) here so maybe tomorrow(later today)... It really just comes down to you being a jaded jackass if you want someone to pay so much for some small mistake, and you justify this by saying "That's the way things are!" Lol "Whoops, I slipped and fell and while I was slipping I hit my mouse so it hit the log-out button and then I continued slipping and typed my username and password and then logged into a pvp world and lost my RED PHAT!" I doubt anyone could ACCIDENTALLY lose a rare, unless they were a level 3 skiller, or was intentionally slaying/bosshunting/pvp'ing in one, in which case they have to know and understand the risk.
