It took 6 hours. It took getting various assists for 26 effigies from the starved stage to the lamp, putting up with ALL of the people in Assist Clan. It took a huge amount of restraint to not punch the wall when I did this all and I was STILL 200k off. I could not find this restraint when I was looking for the active obelisk for my weekly familiarisation, and could not find the thing, so I punched the wall. It took the longest 40 minutes of my RS life killing waterfiends, nearly screaming at the screen when I didn't get a crimson charm drop. All of this, and I was finally there, by a margin of a few hundred exp, and I could say these two words... [hide] BAROO BAROO!!!!!!!!!! [/hide] It was worth it. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

I have a black dragon mask, a dragon staff and a fury kit that I got in a trade for my frost - and all 3 are elite rewards. Since i've only had 3 elite clue scrolls since they came out, and I slay A LOT, the supply on these elite rewards is obviously so limited that these will be rising in the ge for at least 3-6 months. I mean, it took me close to 3 days to find someone WILLING to sell their fury kit, and I was offering the highest end elite mask. I mean, look at crowns. They were far easier to obtain than these new elite TT items are, and they sustained a high street for a good 3 months. But, to the OT, SELL THE MASK WITH YOUR JUNK NOW!!! Since a Blue Dragon Mask is from a level 3 clue, and not an elite, they are a lot easier to farm. The lower end level 3 masks, such as the fox and unicorn ones are already crashing, and it is only a matter of time until the green/blue/red ones follow suit. I'd suggest selling it now, if that helps.

I have one myself, from my own trading (had to trade d plate + legs (orn) kits for a fury kit + white uni mask), and I think you should hold onto it, and keep trying to sell it in the ge. They have nearly dropped to the price where they were when they were introduced, and i think they'll drop to 11-12m, and then become stable.

Basically, it comes down to this. If you do something and the benefits outweigh the potential consequences, you'll do it. If it's the other way around, you won't. The benefits of crashing is added efficiency. The consequences is someone who you don't know, and probably never will meet again complaining. I think I'd crash in that situation. It's not like you're going to get thrown into jail for "crashing a person on Runescape."

if you could, i would have gotten a phat. everything else is gonna crash hard. Don't have enough cash ATM, but I know the black mask + d orn kits still have A LOT of juice left in them streetwise, since they're very difficult to obtain. I don't ever see them crashing really hard, I just see them leveling off in the ge, and then being periodically bought out, like 3a used to be.

the outfit, meh, it would look better with red drag mask and d sq (or) but that staff looks sweet, does it give runes? if so which ones? Unlimited fire runes, since dragons breathe fire :P And d sq kit is one thing I forgot, might pick up one later :)

I just got a black d mask + plate and legs (orn) + d staff for one frost mask. I think it was a smart move, since all 4 of those items are shooting up in street, whereas the frost, which was worth a green when it came out, is barely worth a purple now. Anyone else agree?

Yes, you win at losing. That outfit is f-ugly... I agree with that. You've got some nice stuff but it is still weird. On the positive I like it how everything is dragon related. Yeah, if I swapped out the cape for an attack t and the mask for a red, it would look better, but Lose value and prestige :P

The Keldagrim train, trains exist. Chainmail exists. Sharks exist. Pies exists. Oak trees exist. Yew trees exist. Maple trees exist. You can cook on fires or on ranges, but you are less likely to burn something on an uncontrolled, open flame. There are just as many things in RuneScape that mirror real things as there are things that don't exist. Having some fun and taking a break from what most people see as commonplace in the game and relating it to Reality is enjoyable and an interesting question. Don't be a stick in the mud. Pretty much disagree with everything here. I got a SOL drop today, and when I saw it was only 4.8m I nearly cried. Wish it was a level 4 clue instead tbh.

And anyway, whip + defender was still better than a godsword in team bandos/zamorak/saradomin. BTW whip + defender > Z spear at all dragons except mithril and KBD, possibly frosts, but I mean if you have 85 dungeon you have rapier anyway. Is whip + defender > zs at steels, even with overloads, turm, and maxed melee stats? Since I overload + piety steels, and zs seems to beat out the whip + defender at steels - does turm push this the other way?

I am probably the biggest example of this. A month ago, I was getting drops galore. My treasure trail rewards were fantastic, I had had 10 whips in 7 tasks (including 4 in one task), got 3 d bows in one task, and managed to snag at least 3 d boots for 5 spirit mage tasks consecutively, not to mention good luck with focus sights/hexcrests. Then I hit 93 slayer... Now I am 5 ice stryke and 5 abby demon tasks dry, I havent had a spirit mage task in forever, and all I've had is an endless stream of metal dragon tasks getting infuritating drops like dragonstones and 100 noted silver ores with not even a d skirt for my troubles. Karma sucks. I've also been a good 6-7 years without one of the "big 3" ultra rare drops (shield left half, visage, and a champ scroll,) until i FINALLY got an abby spec scroll a couple of days ago. Then again, my first TD's kill was claws :)

Just because he's at that time, and we were once at that time, doesn't mean that his actions (or our own actions when we were a noob) are right. I know for damn sure that when I was a noob, I acted exactly like this - thumbing my nose at people who knew better, which is exactly what is the wrong thing to do. It's like saying "war is wrong, but it's going to happen anyway, so lets just do nothing to prevent it." It is us calling him on this stuff, and letting him KNOW that he is wrong that is actually beneficial, will teach him stuff, and will make him LESS of a noob. On-topic: A better source of swamp tar and money is actually warped tortoises - they barely hit, give about 600-700kgp an hour off task, and you just have to do a simple quest to gain access to them (and obviously have the required slayer level)

That's not luck at all. I was rarely getting herb drops. Luck was the guy that I was there with who got 3 ranaars in a row. Don't talk to me like I don't know what luck is when you obviously have no grasp of it yourself. :wink: As I said, I was not getting lucky, because, you see, the funny thing about luck is it isn't consistant, so had 100k in 20 minutes been luck, I wouldn't have come out with this after finishing up the last 40 minutes. :wink: I'm actually not joking/trolling, I think it's awesome you went to such effort to shut this guy up, as he obviously does not have a clue what he is talking about. Also, we should mention level 1 clues. They take 4-6 minutes to do each, and I'm not sure, but I think the average reward is pretty decent. Maybe not since the impending tt update was announced though...

Dont get your hopes up, im 94 and still havent gotten a task. :P Since I got 93 a couple of days ago (I'm 250k to 94 now,) I've had 3 :blink: Don't worry though, all 3 have been sol-less...
