Lordoctrine and I are talking on skype about this, and it looks like it probably will be something big. There is no way that they would devote all this time just to CC or FL is there? There has to be something more than meets the eye. The new area with the guards talking about the strange power maybe? Everyone seems to have forgotten about that. Doesn't really go along with the hint at all though. I posted on the first or 2nd page here that it could have something added. I don't think we'll gain access to it for a while, but it is a big map area tbf, maybe they're adding more to it/finishing it off. And who knows what might be being developed underneath it eh? Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but there is something that's definitely big. Jagex wouldn't get people to work overtime like this. That big red button they want to push is gona be something more than FL and CC. There just has to be something more than meets the eye......

It's 10 past 4 English time...... Surely those people in Cambridge are gona update soon? It'll be home time in a bit for them :P (comparing them to the lazy motherlickers here at my university as many of the receptions etc close at 4 :o) But still...... this is making me nervous...... I can just see the RWJ trolls getting ready to troll the RSOF trolls and those trolls on here for trolling....... hmmm.....

It's the fact that people using it on slayer tasks only seem to be experiencing the 15% boost against monsters that need a slayer level to kill. Not against something normal on task like greaters or tzharr.

Bandos will be nice when it drops as it'll be extremely cheap. People think it's the best armour for slayer, but I'm not so sure. I'd say it's over priced. But tbf it'll rise again I think, so I think it'll be a safe investment. However you mention wanting to get 99 range. Go for armadyl. That stuff is dropping like a bomb and will be mega cheap compared to what it was soon. I'm considering the same thing (well not 99 range, but 80/85) and arma will generally help tanking slayer tasks if you don't want to spend time getting to safespot.

It would make sense with us already being in the 3rd month out of 12 with them promising the skill being nearer the middle of the year. Well unless I get a good number more crims over the next week or so (I think I'll go till about tues/weds with this and then DIY anything that needs doing) I don't think this might be too easy; however would you really say to do lobs at 74 summoning straight away? And then barker toads again to hit 83 or so, then my titans when I get there? Obviously it'll take less time for me to get to 74 summoning so therefore it will maximise my exp; but could you help do some rough calcs as to how much it could increase it by? And yea, I'll probably make myself some yips and ponys when I can. I still have a goal of 90 fishing to get sometime soon, so why not fish a couple of sharks and make my slayer a bit more self sufficient?

Right here's the plan: 1. Non stop slayer until the weekend. This will maximise my charms and stuff. I will devote Wednesday and Thursday next week to DIY summoning 2nds to make sure that any difference I have from the charms stated on the first page is covered. 2. Instead of herblore first to get to about 65 or 70, I will do my tree run, then straight to summoning with no time to lose. 3. 5K+ Barker Toads over the first hours will score me 78/79 Summoning 4. 2K+ Granite Lobs over the 2nd and 3rd hour will score me 82/83/84 summoning or there abouts. 5. 365 Lava Titans over the hours after that will score me 86/87 slayer. Bare in mind that I just ran these calcs through the tip.it summoning planner and it came out with 83/85 summoning by doing all of these things WITHOUT the exp bonus. So I should be well within my goal of 88 summoning. I wont be using my greens as they are too costly and expensive tbf. 6. If I don't make it to 88 summoning then I'm sure I'll get the loot and charms for the pony within a month seeing as I'm majorly powerslaying. This method will only cost me ~6m if I trade in the granite lobs and don't sell the lavas. Any final words people have to say before this plan is cemented in my bank? Or any final tweaks to my plan like monsters to summon etc?

So i'm in the same boat as you, just disappointed that you weren't able to follow through with me on this one. I turned my visage into a DFS (thank you 87 smithing and spicy stew) and sold it for 35m (added a little loot from slayer tasks I had accumulated), netting me a nice amount of money and a nice 4k exp (used sc hammer :D) Anyways, 3PointMan, My 5k Toads came through on GE for med price surprisingly. The unicorn seems like an extremely nice idea this weekend, however I'm going to resist temptation and only spend the 11m or so on granite lobs (idk how much I'll get back, I'll probably pop a calculation in here or so for you to check). Also I seem to be thinking that I may get to about 85-86 summoning. I'm still not sure if it's worth spending the first hours or so doing my 5k barkers to get to 78/79 summoning then doing the granite lobs to get to 85 or so. Or whether to do the whole mith minos to 78, granite lobs to 85 or so then barkers for the next bit. Not too sure how far either method will get me. So please can I have opinions on what's best? 1. What level is geyser titan? And what titans are best for combat that I'll be gaining access to? 2. I don't quite understand that formula so I'll see what else I can figure out. Would you also say to sell the shards back to a geezer like pikkupstiks as the GE will be flooded with them soon enough. And I guess that when I get to the level I will in the end using whichever out of the 2 methods stated above I'll only have a little bit of money to get to get me to 88 summoning. So it's no big deal what with me being 80K odd from 85 slayer. If worst comes to worst, I'll become the thing I hate most and just sit and camp abby demons.

DIY you do have two weeks. Also I woudln't blame the buy-out all on merchants. It's normal players stocking up. Did I say it was merchants? I know all normal players look for opportunities like this too. That's the point. If it was just merchant clans like Jagex suggested it would be in the FAQ, it wouldn't be nearly as bad. And yes I'm DIY'ing. Mined some granite, bought tons of yak hides, but iron plates? Well I can get 20 of those a day from NPCs, but otherwise I have to rely on GE. I could make them but then again iron bars are unbuyable on GE. Iron ORE is unbuyable on GE. So I'd have to mine 5k iron ore, smelt it, then make them into plates. Yeah no. Probably best just to mine some more granite and collect a few more crimsons. Ultimately my point is this makes things extremely annoying for people who don't want to train on "EXP weekends". If Jagex does this constantly people will always be waiting for exp weekends to train. That's not the kind of game I want, frankly. It's also pretty damn impossible to sell bits on the GE too. My visage is stuck there now for a while in the hope I get the cash. My D Bones sat there for the majority of the day. My blood runs haven't sold. Actually the only thing to happen on my GE is 5K swamptoads coming through for summoning. This is really annoying. And also you cover good points in the first bit again about pots being unbuyabe. I'm running out of prayer pots and am relying on friends generosity to help me buy some off them or trade for pots they need like sup att or str. Can't wait for that weekend to be over and I can get the pots for a lower cost, quicker, easier and cheaper. <3

I heard granite mining is quite fast, so you might wwanna look into that. This, or making stranger plants, requiring red flowers, from level 75, if red flower are buyable. Yea I'm looking into mining my own granite and then chiselling it when in bank. Would be simpler and 600K cheaper. But still There's about 6 hours till I'm up for a 9am lecture, so I'll check before/after that. And also I'm slaying to try and maximise my moneys before doing any summoning with my visage in a state of not selling atm.

I'm considering going to the RSOF next week and asking them to take it off my hands for Arma chest and legs I guess. Though I'd rather the cash so I have options. Haha there's no way Ima farm them. I have about 350 or so in my bank from when I went and tanked tzharr for draz, chee, iyis/tz tok omg for fun. We'd go on LSing trips and I never really realised what they were for until I reached higher summoning.

This. As MHL said, people are freeing up money for this weekend to invest in summoning and herb. Therefore there is practically no demand for those items and people are trying to sell them to gain the cash for the weekend. Another example is that of the "God Armour" Bandos is going down by 1m a day and Armadyl is down 700K each today. AGS down 4m today, SGS down 3m today, ZGS down 1m, and BGS down 1m. Yet another is the Arcane SS which is down 3.5m and BSS is down 266K. and DFS is down 1.4m After the weekend they'll head back up. But how will they 'head back up' when those people have spent all their money on the weekend? I see this as a good artificial deflation technique by Jagex. It has done what we all wanted for so long. Raw materials are sky rocketing, and expensive's and rares are plummeting. If you currently look though pots and pouches are now rising with demand being choked by the fact that everyone is hoarding herbs for this weekend to get in some good herblore levels. During the hours after the exp being used people will be shoving pots straight onto GE. Those lucky to be amongst the first will gain alot of money back quickly. However soon the market will be congested so much that pots will start to fall. Eventually everyone will gain a fraction of their money. The likelihood is that most people will have spent millions on getting herblore and summoning levels that weekend with 88/96 summoning and 85+ herb becoming more and more common. Those people will have access to Unicorn Stallions, Pack Yaks and Extremes/Overloads. Therefore using this people will then boss hunt and accumulate their wealth back buying back their items that they have sold. Sure enough the items might never reach the price they are now again, but they will rest somewhere in the middle of where they're going to fall to and where they have been. But I agree with what you said. It's a brilliant idea in this concept. And has provided people with more opportunities. However hardly anything is sellable on the GE now really. I put my entire steel task worth of items on the GE and my visage from a few weeks ago. Only the runes shifted at med price. D bones don't sell at min. And I've left the visage in there just below med because I wana buy arma when it's at it's lowest.

I feel like all the bigger armours are crashing so they might go lower, as everyone seems to be buying raw materials. These people seem to have it covered. 1. If you can set up the fairy ring do so. Save loads of time banking etc. Without it I wouldn't bother with the task. 2. setup (some items go from best to worst): Slayer helm Fury/Glory Karil top/Black Dhide Karil Skirt/Black Dhide Barrows Gloves/highest RFD gloves you have SW Cape/Ardy Cape 3/Trimmed SkillCape/Fire Cape (forgotten your stats but I'm sure you don't have the trimmed skill cape) DBoots. Ring is up to you, but I'd use a life. But Zerker would be good. Weapon: ZS/SS/GS/Any Barrow with a crush weapon - Torag and Verac are the 2 that come to mind/D Battle Axe/D Mace 3. Invo: Sup Att (4) Sup Str (4) Home Tabs Lunar/Dramen Staff Holy Wrench 8 Prayer Pots Maybe a slayer gem. 4 monkfish. Bunyip and scrolls (not sure if you can get it as I've forgotten stats). If you can't use yip then fill your invo with food. 4. Pray range when you're against them as Karils/dhide is there to absorb the mage damage. I dislike this task as there is a fair bit of banking, but they're good for crims. Make sure you do put the fairy ring in because otherwise IMO they're really not worth it.

Heh well I really know nothing about summoning tbf. I use War Torts on some slayer tasks as they come in pretty handy. I knew about the granite lob, I wanted one for my fishing that I'm still aiming to get into the 90s some time next term. The golem and titan could come in useful as I find mining dire, but want to get it up so I can mine the concentrated stuff. So all in all, would you say it's worth it? And how on earth will I calc my trade back etc? There's going to be millions of shards entering the economy with people being capped at 10K per 4 hours...... I don't think pikkupstiks let you trade them back at 25gp etc. I just don't know. So what is a good figure of return for me to get? And at the end of the day, is it worth me spending my visage on this instead of armadyl and cannonballs for range powerslaying? EDIT: I actually think I just saw the answer to my own question a bit..... Maybe I can swing it to be able to do both summoning and slayer? I mean I have offers in for granite for the lobs and swamp toads for the barkers which'll get me somewhere into the 80's..... And armadyl has gone down 700K+ today (the armour). So maybe if I sold my visage I could swag both?

Doubt I can replace the charms, but I am slaying over the next few days non-stop like normal so that I do gain extra charms/money. 6. Ok So I guess I'll be cut down to about 1750 pouches per hour with my lag at times. And 1 per 200? That makes about = 62.05 rings.
