Taxes, taxes, taxes...
How? Pornography and clinical medication are the same things, only regulated. The idea of taxing doesn't bother me at all. But like someone said earlier, spending it on things that we only have a 0.001% chance of using at war instead of our education system (which is falling apart in Florida tremendously) is just stupid. Also, a lot of laws are absolute bull, such as the drinking age being 21 instead of 18. There is a lot the government has been successful with, but there is still a lot that needs to be fixed. Besides, a government that adapts is an ideal one. Things should always be changing since things always have a potential of getting better. Your education system wouldn't exist if there was ever a war on American soil. What country is gonna invade America exactly? Cuba  ? The main reason the US "defence" budget is so high is because of American imperialism around the world (700+ bases in 140+ countries isn't it?), not to prevent a "war on American soil".

Taxes, taxes, taxes...
Adam Smith supported progressive taxation (I'm pretty sure you know who he is). How the hell is taxing people based upon how much they earn "communist"? How can taxing people on higher incomes by a larger percent be compared to the state having ownership of the means of production? Do you even know what communism is? There is a difference between what Marx wanted and what people have called communist. Obviously, if you want to give everyone the same amount of money, and you don't want to kill everyone you would use something like a progressive tax.(no that doesn't mean I think the US is going communist) Communism isn't even about "giving everyone the same amount of money"... the fact is progressive tax has existed before Marx was even born, the word "communism" is pretty much jused used as a "shock-word" by far-right nutcases use to scare people.

Ugh, come back when you actually have some knowledge of economics/ some common sense, it really isn't as simple as that - class mobility is rather low (and getting lower) - chances are the "Uneducated moron who picks up your garbage" simply didn't have the oppurtunity to get a good education/ a skilled job.

National Healthcare. What do you think of it?
Spending more and still under performing The conservatives/libertarians will all just say something like it's all a big conspiracy to turn America into a communist state

National Healthcare. What do you think of it?
What exactly makes the man on $13k a year's life any less valuable? What if he was born into a poor family in a very impoverished area and he had to get a job straight out of school to support his mother, and there was no possible financial way for him to try and get some qualifications to "pull himself up"? And the CEO would more than likely have private healthcare anyway - all universal healthcare does is provide a certain level of care to everyone, not ban people from paying for better healthcare if they want to. Don't you support eugenics anyway? So it's no surprise that you value people's lives based upon how high of a salary they earn. edit: oh yeah, you do support eugenics: viewtopic.php?p=6724268#p6724268 - you're an ignorant [puncture] with no respect for human life to be honest, all you care about is "resources" and "money".

National Healthcare. What do you think of it?
Who cares about "the constitution", it's a document written like 230 years ago? You can't use a document written in the mid-1700s to run a 2009 society - you'll be quoting the bible next I assume? It was about freedom, really? Why was slavery still legal in most US states for a good few decades after the constitution was written? I think this whole "America was founded on freedom" idea is a pretty weak argument myself  I'm gonna assume you're either really naive or were born with a silver spoon in your mouth for that "needs to be doing something else or something more" comment - the idea that "anyone can get a good job/career if they they try hard and pull themself up" isn't quite that simple, shown by statistics on social mobility. what about people who were born with mental/physical disabilities, how are they meant to "Pull themself up", change their genes somehow? also some people simply don't have the people skills/intelligence required for high salaries - do they deserve to just die if they fall ill? The profit motive is good for a lot of industries, but healthcare just simply isn't one of them.

Have you ever OWNED a CS representative?
What's the point in harrassing random people just trying to do a job? As for the example in the OP I wouldn't really consider that "owning", do you seriously expect dell to make sure all their CS representatives know everything about which graphics cards are best? If you really wanna know just look it up.

National Healthcare. What do you think of it?
In America your parents insurance premiums would be massive (or unable to get insurance at all) and if they didn't manage to pay them somehow they'd be left to die on the streets or given massive bills.

School
the next college year starts on the 4th of September for me I get my AS results on the 20th (which is I assume when I do the enrolment for the A2 courses + the GCSE resit I've got to do), then I've got to do the UCAS stuff in Sept/Oct... ugh the next few months are gonna be stressful. Being a bit of a boring/crap summer too apart from the fact I turned 18 yesterday, ugh... (but this is going off topic a bit)

Congrats, you're still a [bleep] for wasting someone's time over $20 - eBay probably removed it because they couldn't be bothered chasing after someone as immature as to waste someone's time over $20.

Looking at people buying their XP sorta makes me wanna cry..
People have bought skills since the start of runescape...
-
cut the crap and remove pricing limits
Keep the +-10% stuff but also don't put ANY restrictions on how far it can drift as time passes. Also put in some sort of system so it can be forced to change in the event that it drifts to a price where it's impossible to trade.

Ruined my 9 hitpoints runescape acount
Unlucky. I've got a 9hp account with no numbers in it's name, no stats except 3 attack ,and is 37xp off 10hp - any account that was below 1154 hp XP before rs2 came out got 9hp on the transfer, logging onto it brought back memories of when I used to walk around cluelessly, die then make a new account lmao :\

American Propaganda Commerical Bashes Canadian Government
I rarely, if ever hear of people traveling out of the US to get medical treatment, unless it is to meet or be treated by a specialist. (My friend got knee surgery in Japan while he was there because it was a bit cheaper.) I hear quite often of people coming into the US for medical treatment. US does have the highest quality of Healthcare in the world, from what I have seen and from where I have traveled (Europe and Africa.) The US might have some of the best hospitals in the world for people who can afford it, but the point is the US healthcare system is probably one of the worst in the "civilised" world for ordinary people due to patients being at the mercy of insurance companies who only care about how much profit they can make.

It's just $20 and I'm assuming you can re-sell for atleast $10 so you'd only lose $10 - my advice is either take it on the chin or give the buyer an apology , and offer to give them the listing fee plus a little bit of compensation for wasting their time. If not for the fact you wouldn't like it if someone else did the same to you and you had to spend money/time relisting the item, it's not worth the trouble of having your eBay account suspended over such a small amount of money.

Permanent ban FINALLY lifted
Appeal denied :\ I'm not 100% sure if the reply was automated or manual though.

Your first car wreck.
I'm quite a naive guy but I'm shocked at the number of people on here admitting to drink driving/getting in a car with a drunk driver. (which IMO is a discraceful thing to do, moving a massive block of metal around at 30+mph while drunk shows no respect for the lives of other people)

Drivers permit
I don't know why you Americans all drive automatics, in the UK and the rest of Europe the vast majority of cars are manual. It's not like it's any more difficult to drive (it took me 2 lessons to get to grips with gear changing) and probably helps reduce the number of people driving while on the phone (although the UK also has a problem with people messing about with their phones while driving) Been driving for a few weeks now (UK), and doing pretty well - just practicing the basic forward driving at the moment (gear changes, how to handle junctions/traffic lights/crossings etc). Not taken my theory test yet but I've been practicing both using this DVD I have and I'm pretty confident I could pass it now, just need a bit more practice for the hazard perception test before I book it I think though. (the UK theory test has 2 parts - 50 multiple choice questions and a hazard perception test where you are shown a few clips and have to click when there's a hazard you'd have to take action to avoid, e.g. a cyclist coming out from between cars)

Is it possible to get started again on RSC?
There's only like 70 players, so not worth it really. And it won't surprise me if this "re opened as cheat server" idea doesn't ever happen

Today...
It's not that damn weird. Guys date younger girls. Fact of life. And also, I didn't think anything happened, nor did the relationships even last long. I don't follow my friends' every relationship moves. Any 17 year old who wants to date a child who is only just starting puberty is a sick bastard - not to mention the abuse they would get off their mates lol. The reason acceptable age gaps get larger as people get older is because the difference in maturity/ difference in stage of life is smaller.

Why can't adults drink?
The problem in the UK is that everyone can and will use the George Best argument when it comes to liver transplants. Best got a transplant despite being a long term alcoholic who continued to drink after his transplant until he died. If I was the guy in the case mentioned, I'd be asking why Best was able to get a transplant and I wasn't - the only difference is that Best was older and was famous. George Best got a liver transplant for one reason only - fame. I think whether it was the right decision or not depends on if anyone else needed the liver - I think that someone who needs a liver transplant due to say, genetic problems or cancer (i.e. things that aren't their fault) deserves it more than someone who needs it due to self-inflicted liver cihrossis brought on by alcoholism - but if there isn't anyone else who was match for the liver they should've being allowed a chance.

Permanent ban FINALLY lifted
Gonna appeal on my account which got banned in the mass ban just before RSC got closed off to new accounts. It's level 3 on RS2 though and may not be able to access RSC not even gonna bother appealing my account which got banned in like 2005 because it won't be able to get onto RSC anyway and it's never even logged onto RS2

A little bit of Australia.
I hope you don't use that word in "real life"...
