  1. So I went and ZMI'd for like a week due to effigy plans. Upon my return from that underworld, I was assigned a Black Demon task. Now it can't have been more than two weeks or so since I've last been down in that Taverly dungeon, but really now: They've officially ruined one of the best slayer tasks. This honestly makes me quite sad, as now it appears that more and more Slayer tasks are going to become bot-fests like this one. Come on now...
  2. Yes, there are some really good guides that make use of both video and text (the Tormented Demon guide in AoW being a good example), and that's perfectly fine. If it's just a video though, a sub-section would be nice. :D
  3. As a regular of the Guides area, I've noticed that recently more and more guide-writers are just posting a video as their guide. While I don't find it as helpful on a forum as a text-based guide, I understand that people do learn this way, but something about it just makes it different from our major guides. I'd like to see a new subforum added to the Archive of Wisdom specifically for video-based guides. This would include basically the guides where someone plugs their Youtube video and there is no other information in the guide post. The author may spend time giving feedback, but the original post remains as a video. I think it would be more organized and helpful to have the video-only guides and the more text-based guides separated, as some people find videos much more helpful than text, and vice-versa. Thoughts? :^_^:
  4. You've got the levels for Spirit of Saradomin if you're interested. We're a big group of friends with events ranging from minigames to boss trips. Link to Tip.it Recruitment ad If you have any trouble and don't know what to do, catch someone in the clan chat. :^_^:
  5. The more that know, the less that don't!
  6. Completely forgot about my notes tab, put that in there just before the complexity 1. It's saved me loads of time before I had the potion ingredients and levels memorized. Tank Ring section gone. New note for plate-wearers in the Monolith section Changed the Ramokee section to better address current trends. Happy 7k views.
  7. o_O Opens a whole new can of worms doesn't it.
  8. Congrats on 100 pages of Help, Hexes, and providing hope for those hoping common sense prevails in this skill.
  9. Done. Oh the irony of attempting to explain complex subjects only to forget the simple ones.
  10. As far as I know, the only effect your total levels have on Dungeon floors are the levels required to open doors. Size is completely determined randomly based on the floor size you choose. Combat levels will affect the monster levels, as well as the boss.
  11. Thunderous floors are 45-47. This is because the level requirement for Thunderous also unlocks floor 45. He cannot be found on lower because then someone without that level wouldn't be able to kill him technically. He cannot be found on 48+, because those are warped floors, and Thunderous is an Occult-specific boss. The same kind of figuring goes with all other bosses, some are just more widely available (e.g. Runebound Behemoth on all of the occults). So basically, find the Unholy Cursebearer's level requirement, and the floor unlocked with it. From that floor to the next floor type (abandoned, warped, etc) are all of the floors you can fight him on. Hope this helps.
  12. I did Poison Ivy runs (1 per 2 hours approx.) when I felt I wasn't doing the best I could. So basically if you compound trees, fruit trees, calquats, herbs, berries, and Livid Farm that's quite a hefty amount of Farming xp per day.
  13. Updated the ring section, merci /obt/ pour les idées. Honestly I apologize folks, this semester is kicking my rear end. It ends in 3 weeks, so only then will I be able to work on boss strats or new sections. For now, there's just going to be some updates to already-existing stuff. Until then, please keep the feedback coming, I do read it. :shades:
  14. "Were having issues with our core hosting providers they are looking into it but we still have no time frame. ~Mod Knox #RuneScape" From Runescape Twitter
  15. The Workshop is definitely now the most reasonable method to train in f2p. I don't know at what levels the P2P stuff takes over, but you'll probably end up getting the best bang for your buck in the Workshop. In P2P, making Adamant Ceremonial swords is a very fast method right now. Mithril works pretty nicely too. Basically, ceremonial swords are where it's at for high level training now.
  16. Did some re-formatting, centered some things to make some sections appear a bit more separate and organized. Also added an argument to the arguments section due to a few recent experiences. As soon as I start DG'ing hardcore again, I'll start taking pictures for boss strategies. School's been a bit tough time-wise lately.
  17. I'm fairly certain it's based on the time you finished the last case. The two-week wait time really does stink to high heaven though. <_<
  18. I can't wait to adjust my guide for this new spot. Will probably bind a Blood Necklace or a Hexhunter when I finally find one, sticking with the plate for now. Will have to get 98 Ranged to use that bow though, but would be glad for a break.
  19. BLING CAN I HAD EFFIJEE UHSYST!

  20. Clan Site and Forums Clan Chat: Spirit of Saradomin Howdy Everybody! I'll get straight to the point. Spirit of Saradomin was founded by Spiritmage57 in the Summer of 2007. Since then, it has grown, at one point having over 80 active members! I'll be the first to admit, the winter hasn't been too well on good ol' SoS, with our ranks falling to 40 or so, but we're ready to start officially recruiting again. We are basically a community clan. There are friends, foes, and anything in-between. Many members have been with us for over 2 years, and the average stay of our members is well over a year. Though not completely event-based, we do hold occasional events, whether they be boss runs or 99 parties (there have been many 99 parties  ). Requirements for full Forum and clan chat rank privileges: 1600+ Overall Total levels A sense of humour The majority of the action is in the clan chat, which is almost always full of some sort of discussion, whether it be in-depth analysis of Slayer tasks or even whether or not it's okay to have a jelly donut for breakfast. Whether or not you have the requirements to be a member, we welcome anyone in the clan chat, so long as they behave. Our forums are semi-active, and we're looking to change that. Skill of the Month Each month, a skill is voted for, and the winner becomes the skill theme of the month. A little competition between any who want to compete will keep track of their progress in the skill for the month. At the end of the month, the member with the most xp earned wins a custom signature, such as the following example: There have been many astonishing figures, and when everyone gets involved, this competition becomes a truly entertaining experience. So if you're looking for a fresh start, or to make some long-lasting friends, give us a try, I promise you won't regret it. That's about it. I would post picture of events and things, but really SoS is something better experienced for your own. If anything, the only picture I would post would be me 2 years ago when we took on the Kalphite Queen with Chicken suits (because we were that good I guess  ): As a long-time moderator of this clan, I'll be frank: There are no event attendance requirements. I don't want this clan to get in the way of anything you do in your life. We've had members from every continent of the world here, and I think it's important that nobody gets punished for living their life. Whether it's a Biologist in the Netherlands, or an Accountant in the U.S., there are many people in this clan that, no matter how different, have found a way to get along. We're here to play Runescape and offer friendship, why not give us a try? Budding Dungeoneers should take a look at this guide: Bassy's Tips and Tricks to Dungeoneering It was written by our very own Bassjason1! (That's me, I suppose )
  21. 300 pages of discussion....Beautiful.... <3:
  22. You're going to average about 55k xp/hr. They're pretty good for movie-watching or homework-doing. I did 99 and 99 Mining in a world of my own because people down there can be annoying. Every spot can be safe-spotted from the creatures. I favor the west side of the cavern for Rocktails. There's some torches and some rocks that make trapping the creatures no effort at all, often no effort required even as you just run to the spot.
  23. GOP will be slow, I'd barely call it a viable option. But, there are some who've made an art of it. I'd check out the blogs area because I know there's a GOP master in there who at one point had 1m tokens or something like that. You might find an xp rate in there. Remember that Steam and combination runes are also an option. There's a few guides around on that too, and it's fairly quick.
  24. That's completely fine, I'm honored. I'm unsure what to add at this point because there's a point where it gets crowded. But. Nonetheless, I'm considering boss strategies and some links to handy things such as a solver to the runecrafting tile puzzle that a friend found. Keep the feedback coming guys it's really appreciated.
