They may not have announced this, but they have started advertising it on the main page. Apparently Jagex felt they needed to limit the offer even further, it seems to only be available in the US and only with 90-day cards. :wall:

The weather out here has been fairly random the last couple of weeks; it can't seem to make up it's mind between hot and raining. <.< btw, my brother's name is David. :) Volc0m89, I'd really recommend mining in the Dwarven Mine and banking at the deposit box in the resource dungeon. It doesn't slow things down very much, and you can either sell the iron and make some gp or use it in the Artisan's Workshop for Smithing xp. If you're having trouble finding a spot, try one of the foreign language servers. They're usually pretty empty (especially the German ones) so there won't be much competition. Also, you should try using Mining Urns. I'm finding that the extra xp they give is really nice. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to play the last couple of days. I've got 530k xp left until 98 Mining, and I'm about 60 wins away from the tier 4 Duellist's Cap. Speaking of which, they updated the tier 3 emote today. Very cool. :thumbsup:

Call the store in advance maybe? It's not like they're obsessively looking at the caller ID to write down any goon's number who asks strange questions to report them to the OMGIDONTUNDERSTAND police. I don't think the problem is being embarrassed to buy the card, but rather that, in my experience anyway, the clerks in most retail stores (at least here in Canada, not sure about anywhere else) can barely operate their registers let alone know if they sell a particular card out of the 3 dozen or so on the rack. If they don't even have a rack to put them on, then Saradomin help you while they scrounge though a box under the counter. If you do feel embarrassed to buy a RS card, don't. Never be ashamed of who you are. :) (oh Gary Oldman, you have so much to teach us <3: )

Now that I think more on it, I think the real issue here isn't just that they've offered an item to people who pay more for a month of members but that they've offered that item to a limited group of their customers. RuneScape has always had items that were available to everyone (with the obvious exceptions of the holiday items, but even they were available to everyone who had an account at the time), and now they're offering these, arguably, cosmetic items only to those who: a) live in a country that sells game cards, and b) actually live near a store that sells them. I think they're going to upset a lot more people than they expect with this.

Have all of your friends change their bank PINs and their passwords to something random (no real words, and at least 10 numbers and letters) and tell him to go fly a kite. If you come up with the 20M, he'll just be back for more.

RS micro-transactions anyone? No wonder they didn't announce this. <.<

I know right? But I hear Jagex may improve rates for soloists so hope may be on the way for me! (That is if I decide to solo again.) That's what I heard, but I'll believe it when I see it. <.<

The person that stands there trying to mine a rock while a scorpion kills them, and then doesn't even get the ore from their grave when they come back is a bot. The 10 people who always run to the same place, run off to another spot at the same time and all come back at the same time are bots. The pain in the neck who stands in the GE and shouts over and over again about a RS gold selling site is a bot. After a while of watching you can begin to predict how a bot will move or act.

Speaking out loud your goals on forehand can be difficult when later friends are asking what your progress is. :oops: Lol. I've spent the last two years slowly working towards 99 Mining, so I'm used to impossible goals. :lol:

The person I remember most that's no longer here is Lady Shahdie. I was so inspired by her achieving 99 Mining in F2P that I joined just so I could start my own blog (see link in sig *cough* shamlessplug *cough*).
