Summoning. . . Now what?
I'd like to see more familiars and maybe summoning boosting gear that would increase follower time or your familiars max hit, special move regeneration, ect. As of right now though I'm satisfied with the skill, it's well thought out

Its a D-Chain! No wait...

The last day of RuneScape
I'd make a new account and try to relive the first few days I played, do some quests ect. Then I'd probably take some pictures, make some videos and try to see if some of my friends want to keep in touch What a depressing topic :?

Worst Shop Stocks?
As long as spirit shards, the only thing I ever buy from shops, are buyable in decent quantities I have no problem with the shops anymore

09-Sep-09 Dwarf Quest + patch notes
Well atm its not very hard because there so many people, basicly all npc's die within a few second. But if you're alone there I think they can do some serious damage. Amen to this I went in the room ALONE as I was one of the first to beat this quest on w 77 atleast. I got hit for a multitude of small hits, then a 38 and a 27 and a final few hits to make me die. The trick seems to be to stay towards the mid/east area so tht u dont get piled by too many of them. That's pretty cool if it's something that can't be easily solo'd

Dragon pickaxe finally out
I'm thankful that for once an update is getting hype for the actual update and not game breaking glitches

Hmm, I wonder what the price is going to be for the Dragon Pick if it's fairly easy to obtain

So is the battlefield pretty easy to kill things in? I haven't done the quest yet but from what I've seen it doesn't seem too hard..?

Runescape music
From time to time I do. Most of the time I don't but if I'm doing a new quest or something like that I'll turn it on. A lot of it's just too goofy sounding for me

[hide=] Babe Ruth had more strike outs than anybody - what a loser. Michael Jordon, that no talent hack has missed 15000 shots in professional games - obviously his career went no where. The "Get it right the first time" mentality sounds good, but leads to you doing nothing out of fear of failing. By going out there and be willing to mess up, you are willing to do more that leads to success. I for one am glad Jagex is willing to release content on almost a weekly basis. Yeah, they drop duds and bugs, but along with that comes content that's entertaining hundreds of thousands on a weekly basis. There's merit in cheap and quick. Plus, they're not failing and saying "so what", they QA, release, then tweek/repair as needed. This creates a determined study approach to game development that guys like Blizzard are just not able to touch. Instead of waiting 2 years for an 20 million dollar "uber" release that could eventually get canceled, we get cheap entertainment at a high turnover. Take your pick, or take both. +1 Honestly if you can create a game as complicated as RS and with as many updates as they have without a single bug or glitch out of those updates then props to you. Lets see you do it. And really, most of these bug and glitches they can't find until it's actually released because most of them are hidden. Like the Jad glitch hitting through prayer, who would have found that until it was released? Like Andrew said in the answers he gave, they have to test their updates through so many computers, browsers Etc. It's almost impossible for them to actually have an update and be able to figure out all the possible bugs and glitches within that update. [/hide] I agree with you guys, you can't have anything good without risk of failing. BUT, on the other hand, this is something I PAY FOR. Shouldn't the service we get be just a bit better? But they do say "so what". Mobolizing Armies release a player lost 150M to a glitch by just logging out (was it 150 or a bigger sum? I honestly can't remember, but it was a lot of money). They apologize to him but don't return the money. Don't tell me Blizzard can't compete with that because Blizzard actually returns items due to glitches or hacking. My friend has been hacked multiple times in WoW and his items were replaced very quickly. I'm not going to go on a WoW rant here but I did buy the game because 1) the game is based around high level content and 2) their customer support is excellent. Everything Runescape is lacking for me right now. I understand that they can't catch every glitch, it's nearly impossible. But things like the MA glitch and the day when GWD bosses and other large monsters wouldn't attack back are simply unacceptable to me. They try hard but nobody can deny that things like PvP have been "guess and check" updates, and still are. If they had got PvP right the first time, we could have had more quests or anything else that freed up devolopment time. I would rather wait 3 months for several great, thoroughly tested updates than have them on a weekly basis and see changes being made to them over the next few weeks or read more about the game breaking glitches than the actual updates on the forums.

Worst Slayer Tasks
Am I the only one that despises Aquanites? I don't know why, but I just can't stand doing them...

I wouldn't care about the summoning shop so much if you didn't have to buy in quantities of 500 :wall:

Easier to get your first 99 then your second and so on?
My 99's have become easier and easier to get, not in terms of actually being easy but being motivated and knowing how to plan for them. 99 Slayer is taking me forever, but I know I'll eventually get it (mid Ooctober  )with the plan I created. The worst stretch is 96-98 when going for any 99. If you can get to 98 then you're fine, but 96-98 is probably the worst few levels to get IMO

That's the problem I have with Jagex lately though. I don't pay them for "guess and check" method updates, I want them to get it right the first time and not worry about fixing it with next weeks update.

Out of Touch
Ok, so maybe the summoning shops isn't the best way to describe them as out of touch. What about releasing godswords for a mere level 75 requirement? They can nearly 1 hit players, at that rate level 99 weapons (if we ever live to see them) will easily overkill players. Or we can look more in depth at PvP. They've messed up time after time with it, and although I know they try, they need to think like criminals when designing it. Players are greedy when it comes down to it, but they have let players milk the system since they last updated PvP to give direct cash rather than monster drop items.

I'm not sure what their problem has been this year. The "upgrades" as they call them have been nice, but are too few and far between to be remembered for long. What will remain, is the memory of havoc and general anger at the changes they make to a game WE pay to play. Shouldn't we, the customer be the ones telling them what to do? They just have too much on their plate with what problems they've caused, but IMO problems that need dealt with in order: 1. PvP tricking and in general - and get it right this time 2. Merch Clans 4. Even out the combat system, overhaul it at that 3. Get high level content into the game, something to work for

Out of Touch
Before I start, this is not a Jagex bash thread, this is simply a discussion of updates and if we as players know what the game needs more than they do. Please leave all your negativity towards Jagex here, or back it up with reasoning. Looking at today's update as well as a lot of recent updates, I'm asking myself the question "does Jagex really know their own game?" Sure, they know how to code and create within their studio, but do they understand the interactions and mechanics we face as players? My personal answer to this question is, no, unfortunately. As of right now, you can only buy spirit shards in increments of 500, and the maximum is (correct me if I'm wrong) about 65-67k shards per store. You would think they know that summoning requires more shards than 67k, and that 500 is a ridiculously low amount to purchase in. Any employee with a half decent account would know this is a problem, but yet it came through in the update today. It's going to take FOREVER to train summoning if you have to spend hours just buying the shards. It's my opinion that although Jagex has been making attempts to reach out to their community (which I applaud), they have lost touch with the design part of the game. I wouldn't say they're stupid people, but are simply unaware of what they're doing to their game with each update. I guess I could call this a "guess and check" method, PvP ringing a bell anyone? So what do you think? Has Jagex lost their grasp of how their game works for us as players?

2nd September 2009 - Shops, RuneTek5, Autocasting, Patches
Atm I have charms to go from 88-95 summoning, and by the time I have 99 slayer I'll have enough for probably 96-97 summoning. If I can't get shards at a decent rate, especially for these high levels I'm gonna be really ticked...Can you get shards from the GE still?
