Best. Suggestion: Skeleton Greatar
I agree, he loves the things. Still, in defense of Blaze, this is a widespread epidemic. You see, people really like to think/say "scimitar." Think about it. The word "sword" is pretty boring. "Knife," even worse! But "scimitar," ahhhh, it rolls right off the tongue. Scimitar scimitar scimitar. I bet people are salivating just reading that :) And, when it's used in the diminutive form, "scimmy," wow! People start getting psyched. Then they get impetuous. They run out and buy 3 or 4 more "scimmies," even if they're iron ones. They click "Examine iron scimitar" and "Wield iron scimitar" and "Remove iron scimitar." They pretend they're selling them just so they can see in yellow letters "Selling iron scimmies!!!" "Selling 100 iron scimmies!!!" Ooooh, it feels good. But calling it a "skimmy," no, I'm sorry. That's just too much. The "c" is soft. Changing it to a "k" is greedy. I call this epidemic "Scimmy Fever." Face it, 9/10 Runescapers have it. lpinkus

And I yours :) DING! Next topic please... lpinkus

1 Day all of rs Is wildy
I've never had a problem with that, one server for PKing in all areas. I assume, tho, that programming just one world differently is not so easy. Am I right, tech-y peeps? Right now there are two kinds of servers: free and members. This would require adding a third. lpinkus

Unarmed training for magic and ranged
Elk. Elk, Elk, Elk :) I understood EXACTLY what you all *wanted* from the inital post. In fact, I never said I didn't understand how it works. I said that this "unarmed" range idea differs from the current system, and too much, in my opinion. And the difference is... ...you'd be able to throw things that you did not have to click to pick up. Things. "Things" is the operative word here, man. Everything you equip, smelt, mine, trade, etc., must be clicked on. Runescape involves a lot of clicking already, by the way. Seriously, I get it. Please, take my word for it, I smelled it the second I read this idea. I just don't see it happening. Oh, and saying I need professional help neither wins you this argument nor will make JAGeX add this attack style :) lpinkus

Repel Amulet
I don't know what the real rule is for NPCs, but I'm sure it's not *just* a distance thing. There's definitely also a time issue. Anyone care to elaborate? What creature chased you for an hour, Crim? lpinkus

Late night 'scapin...
I am a bit of an insomniac, and I'd just like to relay how much I enjoy playing runescape at midnight or later. In fact, I suggest it. As a big fan of thieving, I enjoy Ardougne much more late at night, when the heroes and paladins live much longer. Not interested in pickpocketing? Fine, but I will also point out that I have seen far more players die late at night than any other time. Just now, a level 50 who had full addy and a rune halberd was stealing uncarefully, and he kept running away as his HP got dangerously low. Now, I'm not a grave robber, but I can't help notice how many players take these kinds of risks with, for them, their best items. Besides, if the stuff drops and no one gets it, that's sort of a waste, isn't it? :) I would also imagine that late nights at popular training areas are much less busy, and we all know how annoying it is to wait for blue dragons, or even moss giants, for newer players. So, if you have had a cup of joe too many anyways, why not try 'scaping it in the wee hours? I'll see you there. lpinkus

Keyboard Hotkeys
I also didn't think it was possible to not have a keyboard these days :) I admit, I did think "ooooh, shortcuts" when I read this idea, but I too don't think it's a good idea for the same reasons Bubs said. I guess we do have that CTRL click for running. Too many would be bad, tho. lpinkus

Death animations
I don't necessarily agree; I'd have to see the animation first. Anwyays, I think RS is fine, no more violence is necessary. If you guys want more violence and profanity, there are plenty of games out there, sadly, that supply more than enough. Sorry to sound preachy, but we need wholesome things mixed in these days, and I'm proud to pay JAGeX 5 bucks a month to run a wholesome game. lpinkus

Wildy Kill Counter.....
I agree, I would say private is the way to go. And PKers do trick people, despite it being "low." :) lpinkus

Wildy Kill Counter.....
Fine by me. That seems like a good measure of time, actually. If someone has racked up 20 kills in a day, look out. That does bring up another question, tho. Should turning on such a counter be optional? I'm sure many PKers rely on decpetion, i.e. "hey man, I won't attack you, I'm just training." That seems a lot less convincing if the other player can see they've killed 15 people that day :) I don't PK, but I'm looking out for the PKers. Why, I have no idea :) lpinkus

Beggars at any level...
Also true, although it's a story about full iron which I might not even bother to pick up. Any level would pick up a whip :) There's another side to all this. I've often traded with newbies who were buying mind runes, iron ore, addy weaponry, items like that. Often, they offer way too much, sometimes twice the going price. Every time, I decline and say they're paying too much. They say "ty," we make the trade, and there's one more player, hopefully, who will be more informed about prices. I'm not saying you shouldn't sell high as a merchant, but if you give the newbies a break by not ripping them off, I think things are better in the long run. lpinkus

>>>~Here's how you can have Clans in RuneScape~<
He's right :) And that means, sadly, that any of this clan stuff is far off down the road if comes to be at all. lpinkus

Beggars at any level...
Good story, otoko. Those people are so lame. It's annoying enough when people beg, but when they call you a noob after you say you have nothing for free, that beats all. Crim, I understand what you say about giving things to people you know well, and that's fine, but I actually trade with friends of mine; we just give each other reasonable deals. Giving a newb one nice thing to welcome them and help them out may be fine, but the more it happens, the more likely it creates a monster who expects tons of stuff for free. lpinkus

climbing over fences/things that get in teh way
I agree that walking around everything gets tiresome, but that's the game. Now that I can tele just about wherever I want, my walking is reduced dramatically, and I'm more appreciatve of that since I once did have to walk everywhere. That said, I do think *some* of the fences, walls, rivers could be removed without too much harm to the game. lpinkus

1 Day all of rs Is wildy
No, no, and no. If I go into the wild, I am at risk to be killed by a PKer. If a PKer runs into me anywhere else, he may not PK me, end of story. Sorry to sound harsh, but as a non-PKer that's how I feel. By the way, what's the motive behind this topic and similar ones? Aren't there plenty of players and newbies in the wildy already? I'm sure it's not like no one goes there anymore. lpinkus

Repel Amulet
True Blaze, the proposed ammy should not affect quest-related NPCs and monsters. I also agree it should not influence the thieving skill or the Kalphite lair. That said, I'm not sure if this ammy is necessary at all. The effect is interesting, but it seems like it would be too much. lpinkus

making cheese from milk
Churn! That's the word I was looking for. We definitely need more churning in runescape. What a great word. Churn. Anyways, yes, if butter is added, it should make bread heal a bit more. As far as yogurt goes, I don't think we should have yogurt before we have ice cream. I really can't see ice cream healing a lot or being a bonus, but I somehow see it before yogurt. Maybe I'm thinking of real ice cream first, then frozen yogurt. Non-fat? lpinkus

No double hits on werewolves?
Thanks for explaining guys. Gee, my discussions never seem to have any "juice" to them. No arguing, no flamimg, just simple answers. Ah well :) lpinkus

making cheese from milk
I think salt, vinegar, and a variety of temperatues are required. So, if JAGeX introduced cheesemaking, I assume it would be a little more than a "turn milk into cheese" option. Stoves, storage for the cheese to dry might be needed. Or, there could be a spell for it. Lvl 45: Curdle milk - Converts milk into cheese. :) Anyways, JAGeX does like to make the cooking/preparing food SEMI-realistic. lpinkus

Wildy Kill Counter.....
I'm fine if the rank resets, but every 5 minutes seems too fast. Every 15-20? lpinkus

Examine button on player
That's what I was aiming at. I agree with both Kat and Bubs. In terms of the whole combat lvl/total lvl thing, I do think seeing both is better than one or the other. Balanced is good, but then again a lvl 10 combat guy who has 80 mining and 80 smithing is pretty neat. Also, a lvl 105 combat player who doesn't care about herblore is cool, too. lpinkus PS-Sorry about double posting my name :) lpinkus

Repel Amulet
Agreed, the wild is supposed to be unsafe. And, for the record, I was once killed by a goblin, but never lvl 6 rats :) lpinkus

Specific banks designated for trading certain items
Imagine if the banks in Varrock were understood to be trade areas for certain items, similar to the way the marketplace forums are set up here at tipit. So, when you go on a busy world to trade, you would go to the NE Varrock bank if you were trading weapons or armor, and you'd go to the E bank if you were trading herbs, potions, food, etc. Now, that might be a bad example for a few reasons. First off, it's just two big categories, which is probably not enough. Also, I'm sure people have different ideas about how those categories are sorted out. So, perhaps there could be more areas for categories, possibly, if say weapons/armor were traded inside the NE bank and herbs/potions outside. Then, there's still another bank for other categories. I think this sort of thing could help if players took the time to inform each other; JAGeX wouldn't have to get involved at all. I do realize informing everyone is not possible, but it sure would be nice to know that at one bank/area it will be much easier to sell a rune scimitar while it will be much easier to buy prayer potions at another. If it did work out, this could also work the same in Falador, but I think all categories should exist in each world. Well? Did I waste time writing that or what? :) lpinkus

No double hits on werewolves?
Well, you may answer this one with "where have you been, pal?" My dragon dagger hits werewolves twice, but not my dragon halberd. Why? Does this have to do with a werewolf having a better defense towards one weapon and not another? I haven't noticed this with other monsters, i.e. fire giants or dragons. If this isn't a mistake, I'm not sure if I like it. The halberd is already slow to make up for it's power and length (across tables, fences, chairs, etc.). Why take away the double hit on certain monsters? lpinkus

PICTURE OF NEW ARMOR!! IT ROCKS!!
I have a remark, and it doesn't have to do with the color. Why do we need this new armor? What's the advantage? I'm just a practical guy, I guess. lpinkus
