  1. That was the US Army, they are the occupational force of the US military and can't even do their jobs right. Marines constantly have to come back in and clean up what was once stable when the Marines had it. Many a times.

This is my point exactly. Thank you. How is that foolish? The only reason i can see it being foolish is you can get into more trouble with a CCW permit and carrying a gun where they are illegal to do so then just carrying a gun without a permit. I just don't see how its totally foolish though. I keep one in the glove box of my car usually. And if i go out, one on my person. You just gotta know where you can carry it and where you can't. They call it concealed for a reason, its not like you are in the wild west with a holster hanging off of your hip so everyone can see it. Hardly anyone knows its there. Sniper ftw. Good post. Invalid point. You make as if it were totally impossible to ever get a gun, illegal or not. HELL YEAH. One of my favorite quotes/sayings.
  3. Looking forward to this.
  4. I don't remember them all right off hand but.... Combat: 1 2 3 C X Movement: WSAD Mouse Combos (Not all, just those i can remember): Q E R F V Q T Z - Ventrilo :D I like to keep it totally simple so i don't get fancy with it. All of my combat is done with my left hand.
  5. I level slow too. Compared to power leveling in WoW and getting burnt out....i am enjoying this.

Usually you can watch tv and read newspapers yes. Its up to the judge really, in a lot of high profile felony cases the judge will tell the jurors not to do those things at all or to shun the stuff about the trial.
  7. Problem is that was one of our objectives when we went in. A main objective? Maybe not, but still on the list. How do you think we found him in a spider hole? Sitting back in lawn chairs and watching him run down there? No we executed patrols simply to look for him on intelligence we received. It was an objective. A country going to war usually has more then 1 objective. More troops to hot spots? Oh yeah we are, its called Afghanistan.

To each their own. Getting paid worse then a fast food resturant for days on end in a boring trial (even high profile trials) doesn't sound like much fun to me. I've been on the other side before, though not directly involved, one of my college professors is a county judge so i've hung out with him for a few days before.
  9. Lol, Ginger, Americans can't locate Zimbabwe on a globe, let alone care or know about what is going on there. I mean I could blame the media, because I can't remember the last time something that I would consider news worthy was on any major television station here, but really it trickles down from the public and what gives ratings. People here obviously couldn't care what goes on there, and I don't think our government does either, as their resources have practically been stripped bare. Nice generalization of Americans there. Oh yes since our president lacks a little less then normal brain power in some situations, that must mean ALL americans are dumb. Thanks for making yourself look like an arrogant ignorant R tard.
  10. There are areas of the world with much worse regimes. If saving people from persecution really was your prerogative here, then I have to wonder why you haven't marched into Zimbabwe or Sudan already. Ad how is that relevant to Iraq? I never said we were trying to save people from persecution, as pointed out before our main goal was (false) WMDs. You claimed a lot of things that were false, I proved you wrong, and now you're trying to change the subject. Truth. We like to help people, but it is our best intrest to deal with current threats to us, then take care of everything else. Yeah yeah i know....no WMDs etc etc. Iraq has the money (well saddam had the money) to pose a threat to the US, Whether that be civilians traveling abroad or troops stationed abroad. Money and means is something that a 3rd world african country engulfed in civil war does not have. They pose no threat to other, just themselves. Take care of the imediate threat. Iraq/Saddam was like a new age Hitler, these African countries arn't looking to take over the world. Sudan is fighting Sudan...Iraq was fighting Kuwait, and is always fueding with Iran. Point is, Iraq is not fighting a civil war, the african countries are.
  11. Australia doesn't need guns. They have Russell Crowe fightin round the world! ;)

I'm in the military and my brother is a cop that works for the county....the lawyers never want me for some reason. :( I always get out of it....not that i'm complaining....
  13. So true, so so true. DING.
  14. Certain places they do. Like Vegas has legal prostitution. I thought it was only the smaller counties of Nevada that had legal brothels. I'm pretty sure there's no legal prostitution in the Vegas city limits nor in the more populated Nevada counties, I may be wrong. Just used it as a general reference.....like landmark. 2nd rule of weapons safety as defined by the USMC. "Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot." Shoot to kill not to wound, its the whole point of a gun. However you must remember, a shot to the leg does not take out the aggressor's ability to still shoot you. Especially if he is hyped on various drugs. If he drops the gun and it is out of his control, sure keep the gun just trained on him. But as long as the hand clutches the gun, i'm firing. Let me put this into perspective for all of you. Assuming you all are talking about handguns, since they are more manuvarable in close quarters such as a house and are usually used for defense. 1 bullet like MAYBE a half of an inch wide depending on caliber. Non lethal spots on the body are few and far between. Lets say the average human leg is about 6-7" maybe 8" at the thigh area? That gives you mear inches on either side as a non lethal strike zone. Femoral arteries in both legs. Then the arms, yeah good luck hitting those. Shoulder might work, but you are still working with minimal inches. Drop down a few inches and you hit lungs or other organs, right or left and you hit the throat or miss. The foot? Still, must have insanely good aim, and if its at night in a semi dark house or area....The back might work, but then you run into the whole Fleeing Felon laws... Point is, you aim for the torso and/or head. They are the biggest targets on the body and will usually stop the criminal right there. Its meant to be a deadly shot.
  15. Certain places they do. Like Vegas has legal prostitution.
  16. But it killed probably hundreds of thousands of Japanese innocent people lives. Anyways, I believe war is pointless. Sure, we blew Hiroshima right out of the ground with an atomic bomb, and this day we're good friends with Japan? Wtf? I hate the word innocent here. Who makes the weapons the military uses during its war campaigns? Surely not the soldiers themselves. That leaves those oh so innocent civilians...
  17. Guns can be had on the "black market" and the underground markets. But i think the system in place now does a very good job of not selling guns legally to criminals and others convicted of certain crimes. Theres a good extensive background check before purchase. (At least here in SC). HOWEVER. My one problem with guns right now is that here in SC, it is now LEGAL for an 18 year old to purchase a handgun. Thats crazy. That ^ makes me jump on the bandwagon for that concealed carry movement going for college kids on campus. They want to allow college kids to pack some heat on campus in reguards to the VT shooting and many other horrible cases of on campus gunmen. I know i'd feel safer if i carried on campus. With this i think they should add training to the concealed carry licesne, like you must get certified at a range with this gun before getting the permit as well as be taught proper gun safety. As for Police agencies, thats why they now have all the less then lethal weapons to take down suspects with. They are no longer forced with only 2 options of shoot or don't shoot. The bean bag guns, the rubber pellet guns and grenades, the tazers. I still think the officer should carry a real gun, but with all these other options, he no longer has to draw down on someone as a first option.
  18. Blah blah blah, everyone put your democrat goggles on because thats the strong arm majority here and they express their opinions as such........more then half of them can't even vote.

Dream job is not having to work.
  20. Buff DT's!!!  I don't think DT's are as bad as everyone says, but they definitely are not in the top tier of classes and could use some work. I'd like to think i tank very well, and spit out a decent amount of damge considering i'm in defensive mode most of the time. Not to mention the crazy regen and regen spells i have. Seems like a paladin to me without the active healing spells. I think the reason bear shaman are as "bad" as they are is because most people arn't capable or don't know how to play one correctly. Same reason you hardly see them being played. I'd lay down 10g on my Bear Shaman friend anyday against most classes. I'd rather have him, a level 45 Bear Shaman in my group then a level 60 PUG Priest to be honest. Because he knows his class VERY well. I just made a Priest of Mitra. Level 5 right now. This will be my alt with my level 54 DT as my main.
  21. Agreed try and line something up before you quit. And i'd quit in person, but thats just my personality. I'm not sure about places that hire at 17, but what about something like Home Depot? They start out at like $8/hr i believe or close to it. When you're 18 look into UPS, something like a package handling position (UPS Store maybe because i know they don't have a hub up there) while you go to school. They start at $8.50/hr. I worked at UPS as a package handler at one of their Air Hubs on the air ramp loading and unloading planes. Worked 3 days a week, i started at 8.50/hr (was up to 10/hr.....50 cent raise every 3 months) and got time and a half pay almost every day. Was a good job. Definently not a desk job, but i hate being lazy. UPS, Home Depot, Lowes.....any of the big corporate deals have pretty high starting pay, higher then minimum wage in most cases. What about something like a sporting goods store. Any mom and pop places there? The mom and pop shops usually give pretty competitive wages here. I've know a lot of small business that are willing to pay $10/hr to get a couple good workers. What do you wanna do with computers? Go somewhere and try and get your foot in the door. Architechtual firms need people to run AutoCAD, graphical design agencies are always, computer repair shops and PC specialty shops. Hey its work experience and contacts. Hard to say, not sure how small your town is and what ya got up there. If you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. ;)
  22. I think a big and overlooked patch note was this: A lot of the grey quests still gave decent XP, saved some grinding time. Not a total gimp but still a loss. I guess this clears room in my quest log! I need everyone's advice. My friend is away for a month or so, so i've toyed around with the idea of making an alt (he has 2 45ish characters so i could bring one up and have 2 as well). I'm stuck on what class to make. I currently have a DT and love it, but want something different. I'm swinging between a Priest of Mitra or a Tempest of Set. The PoM has the heals but how is it otherwise? Useful? Tempest of Set is already good, and a popular choice i know....thats why i am kinda leaning towards the priest. Any input? Nadril that armor is sick! Love the blue.
  23. Grats. I just hit 54. Taking it slow and steady, less of a chance for a burnout.
