I was f2p for five years on about 4/5 accounts so it was all I was used to. At christmas my partner and I were holed up in our lovely tiny place and he gave me members as one of my christmas presents... It was such a great feeling for me, so genuinely exciting as well :)... Like finally I saw what all the fuss was about. I couldn't go back now lol.

You have 3def and you're angry about losing 30k (pennies anyway) in five minutes? Raise your def if you want to be a real pvper. I pvp rarely these days, but when I do (and if it's bounty hunter) I'll run/tele from someone with obviously low def so as not to waste ep on them. If it's normal pvp I'll just finish them off. Continue to raise range, but raise your def. No one likes a pure.

Ok, I've seen a bunch of people on the forum offering advice like "you can get x exp an hour in x if you do x, especially if you use mouse buttons"... I thought every mouse had three buttons? The left click, the right click and the scrolling thing in the middle? I've got a funny feeling that this isn't what people are talking about, though. Can anyone explain this to me? I'm a mac user and haven't used a pc in years lol, so I guess I'm behind the times :wall:

I don't know her name, but she was a level 138. I want to thank whoever it is for restoring my faith in higher levels... When I first got membership around christmas I was exploring taverley dungeon and I found a pretty sweet hill giant spot. This 138 player comes and starts killing them all. She then apologises and asks if I would like her to hop, she wasn't trying to take all my kills... I was shocked lol, all the other higher level players in p2p had been horrid so far. I said we could share the spot and we got talking. Accidentally deleted her from my friend's list later on, but she was a lovely reminder of how this game used to be.

The Intel graphics card can be compared to trying to knock down a building with a grain of sand. The nVida one can be compared to knocking the same building down with a spaceship. So yeah, if he hasn't already found out how awful Intel is, please tell him to go out and get a better card :D I have a habit of owning telmarketers... It's a cliche that they always call at dinnertime, but it's true. So I like being an idiot to them and giving false answers. Once I got a call and here's a basic transcription: Callguy: Hello, are you a female between the ages of 16 and 18? Me: Uhm... Yeah sure [i'm really 19 but it's close enough lol] Callguy: Well we're doing a sexual survey among teen girls. Me: *pretends to be into all sorts of things I'd never even try* Callguy: Uhm... Alright then. I'll have to let you go now... Me: I had fun, we should do this again sometime :) Callguy: Uhm... Right... Yes... Goodnight... *hangs up on me* I also have a habit of answering the phone with bizarre statements. I got the habit from my partner, who aways answers with "bob's sex shop"... Some favourites of mine are "Jasmine's sex palace, how can I pleasure you?" and "Hello, this is [my town]'s narcotics division, would you like to report a crime or can I supply you with cheap rates?" Once my mother called my place and I answered with the first statement... I had a lot of explaining to do :thumbsup: *EDIT* I never found out whether the phonecall was a real thing or simply a pervert calling up random people in the phonebook. It was funny though haha :D

"Lol" is overused. I use it occasionally but have a strange sort of respect for those who don't ever feel the need to say it. "Lol" is simply overused.

95% of the time in english, although I don't mind going onto a french world because I can speak enough french to get by. If there were Turkish worlds I'd be able to get by easily as well, although I do much prefer speaking in my own language. Like when in a foreign country, I'll always speak the language on the server I choose to play on. I also get very offended when people speak different languages on an english server. It's simply rude. When I'm in Turkey, I don't speak english unless it's with my partner and his dad. I expect the same respect on rs, although expecting anything from the current community simply seems naive.

My friends, hardly rich, gave me over 200k a couple of years back. And money was alot harder to get then. And he was hardly rich. Totally. I helped fund a friend's 99 cooking this week; probably lost around 300-400k (conservative estimate) by giving trade limit at 15 minute intervals and trading my raw sharks for cooked shark or monkfish. Some of us have known our rs friends for a long time and do give them money, sometimes large amounts, because it'll make us happy to see them happy. And I totally support the trade limit, as occasionally annoying as it can be, because it stopped Jagex from falling under. I think there's still one British card company that won't let you pay anything to Jagex because of all the trouble and lawsuits. If they didn't do it, you wouldn't be able to play and whine about the trade limit. Hell, I used to adore pking in old wildy and getting everything they were wearing and in their inventory. You could really make money back then with pking. But if that had to go to stop those stupid criminals rwting, then I'm happy to still have a decent game to play.

I'm female, and I know that nothing better can be expected from 99.9999999999% of teenage boys. No biggie, you know they're useless to society right now anyway =]

I had no idea it existed until I saw the poll today. I clicked on the "thong" section and nothing showed up... I wouldn't really wear tipit clothes but I'd wear runescape clothes, especially as I'm in college now and I can't remember the last time I saw anyone here get teased for what they were wearing, apart from that girl who wore those hats out of crackers every day from december 1st in the run up to christmas :roll: My parter would think it was cute :)

I love it when idiots pretend to be part of the jagex staff, and need my password to check that that I haven't been botting... That's my favourite scam, especially when you tell them the wrong password (after they've been reported) and they log out and come back angry :thumbsup:

The grand exchange in any and every world. Also, I'm from the uk and american servers always make me lag... Nowhere else noticibly.

If someone of any age is stupid enough to give away their password or personal details, then they really do deserve what they get. I'm sick of how Jagex decided to cater to younger players, with warnings everywhere and the stronghold of safety/security questions. If someone's using the game, they can take the time to read the rules. Plus, seven year olds shouldn't be on a computer unsupervised anyway. I've never encountered one on runescape, and I don't think kids should be on here anyway. "Here" includes both runescape and the internet in general.

QFT, I love it when religious people try to shove their misguided beliefs down my throat, and then whine and get angry if you come up with a rational argument against them :D

Quick chat isn't for normal players old enough to play runescape... It's for children that shouldn't be playing anyway and muted players who have given up their right to free typing. If you don't like it, don't use it and don't log into quick chat worlds. I quite like quick chat worlds myself, makes catherby fishing a lot less annoying.

I used to play rs with my partner and people assumed we were 13 year old kids dating on rs, at the time that we'd been living together for six months. And you're right, pixels isn't dating. Going on picnics, hanging out, touching, kissing, special moments shared, going to dinner/movie... That's dating. Doing the "headbang" emote because it looks like humping isn't dating. It's just pathetic, as are all rs relationships, if you're not together in rl too.

I agree. Until a couple months ago my friends list consisted of my brother's 2 accounts and my partner's account. Now it consists of my brother, my partner, 2 friends and one troll who I find so amusing that I talk to regularly to see what lies they're making up today :D I do reply to pms but I do rip on people who just send "hi" for no reason. I don't mind helping out newbies if they ask something. People who ask you your wc/fishing/whatever level, compliment you on it and then say "add me" annoy me no end. This isn't myspace, and it's not a popularity contest. If we don't have a lot in common, if we won't talk regularly you have no place on my friends list.

So you're saying that the 10 year old should not have to pay for his crimes? Children don't rape people because they accidentally saw a video of their mom havign sex. They do it because they are inherrently evil and as such they must be punished. Knowing what you did to another by having to go through it yourself might straighten you out. The boys are doomed for life anyway :D lets see them try find a girlfriend after she's heard that they raped an eight year old CHILD. There is a lot wrong with you if you think that the bunch of them should not be punished for this.
