  1. The "quite high" combat requirement is 29, or even 65 if a king scorpion decides to disturb you. And you didn't mention the level 45 spot, with loads of addy and rune ore? Could do with a lot more improvement.
  2. In free play, you're just getting 99 prayer either for the 99 or for the points. Protection prayers aside, prayer is pretty much useless in f2p. Members have piety, turmoil, soul split and deflect prayers, so obviously they would want to train it there. Plus the fact they have ecto and glided boosts.
  3. *was expecting a dragon pickaxe drop* Gratz anyways.
  4. So that explains why I always get a random after a huge dungeoneering spree. :-w Need I bring back the Stronghold of Security glitch?
  5. Chaotic rapier is probably the best for general activities. Like Pantim said, speed is the primary "stat" which determines the best weapon in a particular class. Also, I heard that the Hexhunter Bow is extremely powerful against magic-based creatures (and bosses!), but you need to kill a soulgazer for it (99 slayer needed).
  6. To be honest I don't really know either. But that's what makes the place shine - you can simply carry a rune scimitar with you and rack up the kills. These guys are very useful for their talisman drops. And a rune longsword looks better than a rune scimitar, in that outfit. The same can be said for just about every rune set. But why are the best looking weapons always inferior... ;_;
  7. Free play prayer. Its extremely high cost (for F2P), click-intensiveness, and mediocre exp makes it very tough.
  8. In case you guys didn't know, if we register an e-mail address on our accounts we get 10 extra bank spaces! =3
  9. Nice blog! It's neat, simple, and isn't a mass of links like my own. :P About dungeoneering, it's not like you NEED to team. Ever since I had this lagout problem, I've grown tired of teaming and went purely solo. I actually find that just as enjoyable as teaming, and with prestige 35 the exp isn't that bad. Anyways, good luck with your goals, and hope you can reach 85 dungeoneering! (Why 83 in your goal sig?)
  10. But in reality, rares are worthless, no? They are stupidly overpriced for its worth. And yay.
  11. Dragons are also weak to stab. And whoops why did I include the forgotten mage... should have just put warrior and ranger. But aren't brutes humanoid? And shades are undead too, just like zombies and skeletons. And earth/ice warriors? That just doesn't make sense. I guess it's only at the peak of usefulness in Abandoned floors (F30-35 is what you'll be 5:5 larging anyway).
  12. I never bothered to train crafting a lot. It either profits with slow exp or quick exp and a money sink. :( Good luck with 70 Crafting!
  13. A magic level, plus a very important attack level milestone!
  14. Hood over plate. I'm assuming it's all humanoids, so I'll list them all here. And by "immunity" I mean them not attacking you. Frozen floors: Immunity to the forgotten variants, shades, ice warriors, and ice giants. Abandoned floors: Immunity to the forgotten variants, shades, earth warriors, hill giants, (giant) skeletons, and zombies. Furnished floors: Immunity to the forgotten variants (these appear a LOT here), shades, and brutes. Even with the restrictions, hood is still extremely useful.
  15. Yay, occult floors! I'm looking forward to this. Maybe it might not be free play, but if it isn't, oh well.
  16. That isn't the only good method of free play moneymaking. Runecrafting water runes, runite mining, and cockroach soldiers can easily reach those amounts as well.
  17. I see you switched to abyss rcing now. You have a good stack of glories too?
  18. Well that was taken when Dungeoneering was just released, so yeah. Oh, here is the vid.
  19. Well the only "official" world I know for F2P dungeoneering is W1, and most don't even care about this exp thing. You're right about what you said, but you're better off just finding some F2P friends to dungeoneer with during that time.
  20. I'm level 86. The levels of the other team members are 126, 111, 105, and 70. But this is in free play, where we only get short fin eels and tier 5 weaponry... By the way, the Unholy Cursebearer is somewhat teleblocked as he constantly drains your stats until it hits zero. I've actually seen a vid on Youtube where 5 138's all got pwned by a level 475 cursebearer.
  21. Then the solution would be to REDUCE the penalty each death. -1% per death sounds perfect for this. And I just fought a level 174 Bal'lak the Pummeller on a 5:5 large today. I can see why they gatestoned - if you don't, Bal'lak will just kill you with his double 200's and crap. This has never happened to me with Shadow-forger Ihlahkizan... So maybe teleblocking all the bosses isn't such a good idea.
  22. Here's how I train dungeoneering. For Frozen and Abandoned 1 (F1-17), do solo small rushes on complexity 6. You can clear one in under 10 minutes if you pretty much ignore everything except guardian doors, and the only dangerous boss you have to watch out for on these floors is the Bulwark Beast. For Furnished (F18-29), do solo meds (or more people if you wish). The exp starts getting higher at this point, and you want to try and maximize your exp now. Be careful with Rammernaut and Lexicus Runewright, melee is ineffective on neither of these bosses. Mage Rammernaut, and range Lexicus. For Abandoned 2 (F30-35), do 5 man larges. These floors are the absolute best to do larges on, as you get upwards of 50k experience per floor. However, the two hardest bosses, Shadow-forger Ihlakhizan and Bal'lak the Pummeller, resides on these floors, and they frequently appear, so be careful! You can choose to do 5 man larges earlier than that (some say F25+ is a good starting point), but personally I'm not that much of a fan of teaming, so it's up to you to decide. Good luck training! :)
  23. Wow, people really don't know how to read quest guides? I did the first four quests from the cave goblin series (Lost Tribe to Land of the Goblins) with no problem at all, thanks to the guide. Maybe they were too dumb? At first I thought you were ranting about all those people standing in one spot.
  24. I personally don't care whether I get good exp or not. Dungeoneering really is meant as a casual skill. I don't see any more reason to train it besides that (other than 85 for frost dragon pwnage). My last F34 5:5 large went down smoothly, with a 126, a 111, a 105, a 70, and me as the 86. Sure, this means that we get reduced base and prestige (I ended up getting 14k exp with 2 deaths from that freaking Bal'lak), but hey, at least it went well. The whole thing took 40-ish minutes to complete, and that was from killing all the monsters too. But due to member doors we only got 5% bonus rooms. And speaking of which, after that F34 5:5 large, look what I got! =] Larges are the <3, especially with high levels (despite the harder monsters).
