Gratz on being able to craft 10 air runes from 1 essence! And lol at how the helmet costs millions while weapons don't even cost a mil.

RuneScape Death Mechanics - Let's speculate
I'm glad Jagex is finally taking some action with items lost on death. Even though I am a free player and I don't die anywhere outside of dungeoneering (no risk anyway) and wilderness (only bring 3 items with me).

Really, people complaining about the loss of items on death update should think about other players. Sure, most of us would probably get back at our grave in 15 minutes. In free play if you're relatively high level it would probably be impossible to die unless you're careless. But what about the lower level newbies? The ones that aren't familiar with a lot of those transportation methods? To them it may be an extremely big deal since they probably won't know where to go after they're dead. And if you suffer a disconnect or something, you should be thanking Jagex that they made this update - not the other way around. Also, a lot of games I play have even more leniency or even no risk of death. In comparison, Runescape's deaths are a lot harsher.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
I never bother with low alching items since they almost always lose money, and they take longer than simply dropping anyway. But, I'm the type that likes to bank my resources, so it's a tradeoff I guess.

All this woodcutting and firemaking finally got me another firemaking level.

I actually thought this was legit, until I saw the in other news bit. I would so love to see the first two happen though.

Revision of Policy
I'm glad tip.it has started to take some action against botting and trolling. I hope the boards in the future will become better than it is now. Also, agreed with Sy Accursed with the personal issues point.

Home tele restriction removed: AWWWWWWW YEAAAAAAAAAAAA Wait but what about ancient home tele? Xp gained in various skills in dg: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- They might have nerfed c2 fishing and wcing. Ooh boy. EDIT: Oh. It's a 25% reduction of xp. Meh, I guess it's still quite worthwhile to do.

The botting still persists
But they're not being caught. That's the problem. If the bot makers knew this already they would script bots to do things that are actually worthwhile.

Anyone else think we should get PvP worlds back? I really, really do. Implement that with the current wildy drop system, and GET RID OF THE DAMN AUTOSKULLING AND NO PROTECT ITEM PRAY. They can make a high-risk PvP world for that. I would just like regular PvP worlds.

How much is Runescape's entertainment worth to you?
This. Since Runescape's paying system isn't based on real time, I don't have that much time to be able to get the most out of my membership. If membership prices rose I would raeg.

Macros Uncovered!-The Article!
Still, making way more money than most jobs by starting a macro company is pretty shocking. Especially if it's $500,000.

Macros Uncovered!-The Article!
That would actually be a really interesting topic to write about. I approve of this comment. Misfortune, write about botting and the effect on world economy :D

Macros Uncovered!-The Article!
You could at least read the article. <_< @Blind: I don't think we're supposed to mention what bots people use on here...
-
Macros Uncovered!-The Article!
And once again, people in this forum prove to be jerks... Some opinions are best kept to yourself. And this applies both to the OP and the people who replied. @Article: I actually didn't know one could profit that much with bots. Probably explains why so many people are still running bot sites.

The botting still persists
Why do bots always go to places where the exp/hr and gp/hr is, simply put, terrible? I mean who cuts yew trees these days? Who mines coal anymore? Sad, sad...
-
Macros Uncovered!-The Article!
Already 3 users are underappreciating the work the OP has put into the article... I thought it was a pretty nice read, even though it's already things we already know. I'd prefer a comparison pre-2007 and now, though.

Ohh man! I wished I could actually do that in game! I would slaughter all the bots in the mining guild on every world

Heh heh, you finally came back to playing haven't you. :P Yeah it's true, Artisan's Workshop really motivated me to actively train smithing more than I have ever done. The most effective way to train smithing at the Artisan's Workshop is to make burial armor. Take 4k iron ore (max you can take at a time), withdraw them as Iron ingot I, and make the piece of iron burial armor that Suak is instructing you to make. You get like 110xp a piece and it's fairly decent, 40k-ish xp/hr. The best part? It's not even 2gp/xp so it's an extremely cheap way to level up your smithing! Tracks are 0gp/xp but the xp is like what? 5k xp/hr? Yeah, crafting and prayer are gonna be a big pain to level up to 70. I'm currently at the bone yard, trying to make the best out of free prayer experience for now.
