Why Runescape needs instanced bosses.
Robert_R replied to Lugia_Lvl138's topic in General Discussion
I would love this just because I'm tired of either finding a 135+ team that's ags only or going in a mass to bandos. I'd love to duo with a friend every now and then.... -
Another weekend like this would be nice if they tweaked a few things about the insane amounts of xp gained in a few skills.
-
Is it at least decent? As in better than a whip in a clan. With turmoil and extreme pots too if that makes a difference. I'm not asking if I should buy a godsword instead of the set btw......
-
As stated in the forums in the general discussion place, because the exp has been scaled up, so have randoms. 2.7% give 2.7X the amount of normal randoms etc. or something like that. Jagex didn't bother changing it it seems. Where did you find this on the forums exactly? I'm not doubting you but my friend doesn't want to believe me lol

What the hell are you talking about..... You said it didn't say that the ecto didn't work and that they edited it to not say that. I just posted a link of the developers blog that says it doesn't work. I said the developers blog ORIGINALLY as in when it first came out, the text of which is quoted EXACTLY in the forum thread i linked to, did not explicitly say it did not work. They then did a QA and confirmed it did not work and AFTER this QA they UPDATED the developers blog to be less ambiguous. Ergo the developers blog no longer is ambigous because they EDITTED it, but that does not alter the fact the ORIGINAL was. Then what was the point of your first post.... It doesn't matter if it's the original or edited, it says it doesn't work but the FAQ forum thread says it does. They said two different things. Erm no. People read the original blog. It didn't explicitly say Ecto did not work, but it implied it might not - hence people who read it early are not sure. The FAQ then confirmed it does not work and the blog was updated. They did not say 2 different things, the original blog was just ambiguous so people are unsure on some issues. Which is exactly what I said in my first post. Omg... The developers blog that's on the website right now says it doesn't, the FAQ says it does not. Who cares if the original said nothing about it the one that's up right now says it doesn't.

Ya the big all caps not means it might work  They updated the developers blog AFTER the QA because the original list of nots was vague and implied tht some things such as ecto might not work but didnt explictly say they wouldn't I'm not gonna get into a big argument over this but the developers blog specifically listed ecto alter as one of the things that would not work on the bonus xp weekend in the original developers blog. It did not. I read it within minutes of it being posted. It said "What activities will NOT earn me bonus XP? * Quest XP rewards * Items that give XP (e.g. genie lamps, tomes of experience) * XP rewards at the end of minigames (e.g. Tears of Guthix, Soul Wars, Pest Control) * Anything which allows point exchange for XP (e.g. Penguin Points, Brimhaven Agility Arena tickets, Slayer incentives, Mrs Winkin's World of Seeds shop from Vinesweeper, jade vine)" As can be see here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/259244-save-the-date-26-feb-2010/ Where the original text was quoted in minutes of being posted. I'm talking about the original developers blog that they posted a few weeks ago not the forums post. That is the original developers' blog. It's not the one on runescape homepage. They EDITTED the one on the rs homepage AFTER the QA to CLARIFY where it was ambiguos. That thread I linked to has a full quote of the ORIGINAL text. http://services.runescape.com/m=devblog/view_post.ws?post_id=84&page=1

The ectofuntus is an exception, though. It should get the normal 4x. EDIT: Nvm just read the FAQ of the bonus xp weekend on forums apparently it is and jagex just failed to mention that in the developers blog..... You just proved me right... right? It doesn't get bonus, it just gets the normal exp? Ya. Jagex and there crazy telling us two different things.

You're getting 18 because all other xp boosters don't work while the bonus xp multiplier is on.
-
Just got 90 herblore  Came veerrrryyyy close to not getting it because of the little mistake jagex had and ran out of herbs with 7k xp to 90. Had some wergali growing so I went and farmed them and made into pots got me 90 herb :) That was probably my mistake though, I probably should have bought extra herbs just to be safe anyway.
-
I think it's pretty random tbh I got one from the regular chaos dwarfs in about 2 hours then another in about another 6 hours from the cannoners. I camped them for another week without another one.
-
I wouldnt bother making unf potions from your herbs. It serves no purpose you are just throwing your money down the drain not to mention paying for someone else's herblore experience. I agree, if I wasn't going to use them I would have made just over 30m profit keeping them as herbs instead of making 2.4m making them into unf pots.
-
Apparently the xp multiplier is off by .15x xp or something I'm not sure I'm gonna go read the recent updates thing on forums. EDIT: Never mind didn't read the other topic... Might be off by like 400 pots now. EDIT again: New plan! Instead of making fletching pots all the way to 88 I'm gonna just make them to 87 and boost for 88 to make extreme attacks before I finish the fletching pots to maximize xp.
-
Tbh I'd stay away from trading for a bunch of unf wergali until you see what they end up doing after this weekend. They probably won't lose street value but I think there's a higher risk of them losing street value after this weekend then there is normally.
-
GWD, dks, corp, waterfiends if you kill them in the whirlpool, higher level slayer tasks and other stuff like that. With just a unicorn I can last pretty much until my verac breaks at sgw in a good team. It pretty much eliminates the use of food on almost everything I mentioned.
-
Moved my herb supplies in a tab organized so that after I'm finished with one type the other one will be next to the edge of the bank and logged out next to my spirit tree. I'm ready
-
That scares me....
-
I love how he tries to use 99 strength to make fun of you even though it has over four times more people with 99 then firemaking.
-
I hope I don't win tbh I don't feel like dealing with this or explaining to my parents how I won a ticket to jagex headquarters the makers of an online game..... Not like I'd even accept the ticket anyway I really don't want to go and wish I wasn't auto entered even though it's like no chance of my winning anyway so idk why I'm bothered by it. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way it would probably be better if jagex made a form that you have to fill out even for members to enter this to give those who want to go a better chance.
