  1. Does it have a new emote? and well if they brought about new stuff it'd be after the buffer of 120 had been reached by a handful of players I would expect
  2. I like that you posted this, since recently both ingame and on YT I agree that famous 'scapers are gaining huge advantages from fans hoping to please. Its all down to the idolisation of anyone who excels at something you do, years ago I respect OldKnight and Zezima for high levels and now there is an even greater personal connection with the commentaries so it is easy to do this, so I guess I do agree they exploit others, but to get ranked in a popular cc many are happy just like they are to 76k their way to Tassets.. etc etc. :)

    Bonus exp weekend

I think as unpopular as it is, the boost can get people training their skills they dislike, or ones that are slow and generally help to make tasks people put off a bit less grind and more reward, personally I'll be resuming my woodcutting and can't wait to do my first weekend of extra exp. :D
  4. Maybe just simple vitamin supplements? I mean they don't hurt when you eat a fairly balanced diet? Though I'm unsure if they side-effects or what not
  5. That's savage! It'd be more impressive if you'd done it on paint :P
  6. I definitely think that this thread now reflects the clear divide between those who believe Runescape was a game designed to be played efficiently, to excel in and to beat. To you the chase for efficiency overloads the humanitarian side of Runescape, none of you remember the guy who showed them the way to Falador when they were level 11, Then on the other side we have the softer players, who believe in an etiquette and probably are playing the game for a more enjoyment factor, the kind who get excited over a 1m split or whatever.. I don't think that there is any point in further discussing this 'Elitist' thread as it has already served to divide the players who play for fun, in the essence of the game, and those who play for fun by being efficient and prolific in their beating of the game.
  7. As I said above, I concede.. In my opinion it is rude or greedy etc. But competition should drive any strong economy/business (I presume you could call it a business) And when they are too inefficient and cannot compete, they relocate to another market. This is EXACTLY what crashing is: a more efficient business (player) driving a less efficient business (player) out of the market. still gay. :P

  9. I am finding it hard to source any actual arguments pro-crashing? Other than the repetition of 'better gear, higher levels = god given right' which is cynical. Furthermore I find it interesting the lengths people go to defend their perfectly reasonable act of crashing.
  10. It's meant to be an optical illusion, for some reason it doesn't work too great in the sig :(
  11. Im on the same path as you, and being 68 I can say that laying four traps on red sallys seems pretty efficient and it's pretty afk-able, I've watch 3 series of Peep show on 4oD while doing it :shades:
  12. As I stated before, I think the atmosphere is lighter when skilling.. by to go off on a slight tangent, to all those who claim combat or slayer is the best or superior skill, how do you feel about the common statements that the depth and variety of extra non-combat skills is what makes RS unique?
  13. is learning to not be a nub

  14. I think that combat with slayer is really fun :-) but I tend to find, from my time at the Crandor Moss Giants some combat trainers are competitive or afk-ing so the conversation while grinding can get dull. With skills I find some are lonely affairs, *sniff sniff* doing red sallys, but cutting willows or ivy is always nice, people tend to be chatty, etc. So I guess I like skilling more, since we're all grinding together the atmosphere is better IMHO?
  15. I would say you framed this response really well. But at the end of the day you've basically repeated what a bunch of other people have in this thread, which is that crashing is selfish. My response, which I've stated before, is: So what? It happens all the time in the real world, get used to it. Politeness is not a virtue when it comes to making money. Call me what you want - evil, or whatever. I'll probably just call you naive. And then that's meaningless because we're just exchanging opinions. I realise that, and I accept your view point, sadly I only sifted through the first few pages of the thread and felt that the statement of having to be a member of the elite to discuss how crashing is good or not, well is counter-productive. But I will leave it at that :-)
  16. You also have 11m total xp, and obviously havn't MH'ed, so I don't think you can quite render an opinion on this. Oh right because you know for sure that that is his only account Can I be dogmatic? No. Can I be 95% Sure, yes. Judging by small things which lead me to believe he is a new 'scaper, (TIF join date, skills trained, his response, etc) I can be fairly sure it is. As such, I don't think he is qualified to render an opinion, as at least some MH experience is needed to know what you are talking about on this thread. I'd say the opposite, yes I am a casual player of the game, I have no 99s and sorry to the guy who tried to defend me but this is my 'main'. But firstly there is no need to have experienced these higher level instances of Runescape to know what you are talking about is a style of play which personally I disagree with. The fact does remain that crashing is un-sporting and in my opinion selfish, whether you tag it as elitist or not, the reality is, you will be cutting someone's enjoyment for the sake of you own ambition or dare I say.. greed? Finally by disregarding me as a low levelled nobody surely you prove the point of an aristocracy?
  17. Honestly, I don't think levels and gear justify being selfish, or snobby. There shouldn't be an aristocracy in RS but more and more with better 'endgame' gear coming onto the scene and hyper popular YT players with 50k+ subs roaming around too, I can sympathise the idea of bigger, better and more efficient but to lesser someone else's enjoyment for your own sake is too far in my view of the game :shades:
  18. It really has shocked me this update, normally we see some sort of motive with jagex, I mean removal of Wildy is a potent example, we had this to stop RWT it was unpopular but it HAD a reason for them to carry it out. The raise to 75k has effectively just made a few select hoarders very rich, in fact I see no reason for this to occur, they didn't hurt anyone costing only (100gp)? and the community never raised a question The truth of this is, that Jagex have basically trolled us all with a pointless update which has simply caused irritation to the masses of us, no one wants to see this update, except a few and those apathetic enough to go 'Idc lul i dont Pks anyway..'
  19. What this topic needs to do, is recommend a solution, find a girl IRL who plays Runescape that would be sa-weet!
  20. Never done one so can't comment on the pragmatics of one, but surely it's a good thing for someone to train a skill they dislike? Since they' get no reward from the slower achievement anyhow? Just a thought! after all that way one could save their grinding for later on skills they value?
  21. It is just a progression of Runescape, it's becoming more 'instantaneous' or atleast there is more of an appeal to the central HUB that is the G.E, shops being thrown away would cretainly make for a very dull landscape of Runescape, moreover shops certainly in the F2P realm are used by the lower levelled players who are yet to become tied to efficiency etc. Like most of us :P So should shops go? No I don't believe so, but maybe a future update could address them such as I dunno a random filtering of items into general stores for opportunist buyers? I'm not sure that'd be too popular though.. :wall:
  22. Seriously ?! How can you not like 60s and 70s? I'm not gonna flame but I highly recommend them since you get The Beatles and Velvet Underground.. And also 90s has Nirvana and Incubus! SICK. I feel the need to reply to the post again maybe.. i think the 00s will be remembered for the 'digital age' of music, after all you get all these people who just got popular off of Myspace or their own self-published work on the Internet, There are no stand out decade defining bands like most decades in my opinion, but certainly music as something we listen to changed totally, Spotify, Youtube, Myspace etc :)
  23. Definitely! I dunno what music you follow but, the Alternative scene was pretty big in the 00s, like Strokes, Libertines, Vines then the Arctic Monkeys and Vampire Weekend and to finish it off we had Lady Gaga! aha <3:
