  2. That was in regards to Kevin's departure from staff and it was after at least 3 pages of him trying to explain, much like I am now, that we're not able to :/ If that was the truth, then the user would be welcome to file a complaint against the moderator that handled the situation (in both cases, that'd be me :/). I won't be involved in any way with the complaint, and it would be handled by admins. If the claim had validity, I could potentially lose my moderator rank. And it's something they take VERY seriously. >_< So, if you really feel like a moderator isn't doing their job properly, you can go to an admin and talk to them about it. Believe it or not, we (the staff) aren't all [wagon] out to get you. We do want to help when there are things we can help or improve on. :/ I didn't know you were serious, I'm sorry >_<' http://forum.tip.it/topic/39282-so-you-want-to-join-the-tip-it-forum-staff/ "The Tip.It Forum Staff consists of our forum Moderators and Administrators. Moderators have the primary responsibility for keeping the boards clean and friendly. Administrators handle the running of the boards and/or website. We often get people asking to join or how they would go about trying to join. This post has been stickied so everyone can see it. You can't apply to join the staff. When we notice an active user on the forums who we think might provide a positive impact on the community, we will invite him/her to join the team if they would like to. Of course this is not a definitive list of criteria and we will often use our discretion and judgement to decide who we invite - but it gives a general idea. In summary, don't apply - we will invite you if you are suitable - just be yourself around the forums." We did a moderator drive last year in Juneish? I think. So I wouldn't expect one for at least a half a year. Sorry :3

  6. I PM'd you telling you, in hopes you'd tell him, that he should have received an email. I was candid and said I'm not allowed to say anything further. You said he has emails from TIF blocked. I told you that Account Problem forms can be used to find out why and/or appeal and/or disagree with moderator action. I don't know what else you want me to do, knowing that I can't do the one thing you're asking, and knowing that I don't have the power to change that policy. I even showed you where you can get user opinion on getting a policy you disagree with changed :/ You're kind of being unreasonable Sean :/
  7. ...But all your questions were answered, save for those that it's Goon's right to explain :$ I don't ever expect users to love moderators but I tried to make every effort to answer what I could >_<'
  8. Users can use the Account Problem form and let us know how to contact them if their attached emails are not getting notes from Tip.it's Email Server :)
  9. Please don't censor inanely. <_< I was part of the mod team, I know you guys aren't some sort of oppressive institution. But honestly, deleting a post asking about a friend being muted is incredibly ridiculous. As an ex-mod you should also know that what happens between a moderator and a user is private. I'm sure you remember that. And even though you don't agree with it (and there might be a lot of individual moderators who don't like it either) we do it because 9/10 it's irrelevant to discussion and diverts the topic, like it is now. But I'm sure you remember that, too, since you were a moderator for so long. I'm sure you guys are able to contact him via AIM or MSN or IRC if you need to, since he's your friend. I'm just doing what I have to do, and complaining to me isn't going to change policy. :/ Make a topic in Website Discussion, that might actually get more motion behind it if the userbase expresses a group desire for it. It'll be time better used instead of raging at me. :P Anyway, I'm sorry for invading your 'turf' for lack of a better word. I hope I won't have to again as a moderator, because I enjoy reading the thread as a regular user. >_<'
  10. Posting big gifs that do nothing but flash/strain the eyes are disruptive and get removed. They always have been :/ I'm sorry.
  11. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I know...I know. >_<''
  12. Please don't discuss moderator actions and/or repost rule-breaking material. >_< thisiswhywecan'thavenicethings.png
  13. We're not a pg-forum. That's a REALLLY old and outdated guideline :3

  15. I was busy with several other warnings and struggling to keep up with this thread at the same time. It wasn't intentional. :) Flashing gifs like that are excessive and disruptive. This place has no topicality and it's REALLY lenient but at the same time they're not supposed to be posted. If it isn't caught, that's our (moderation staff's) bad. But it's hard to be everywhere, and LP2PW goes crazy fast, so some things get missed. If we find stuff and it's like a week+ old, generally it just gets logged unless it's like...porn or something. But say if you quote a rule-breaking thing, as a response to the post, you're not going to get warned to the same degree the original poster does. Of course, if you repost it a month later or so as an attempt to be disruptive or something, you're going to still get warned. Does that make sense? >_<
  16. STOP MAKING ME DO STUFF ; _ ;
  17. WRONG It's a cat playing Donkey Konga :D
  18. Because :) I'm fairly certain that the lack of cropped pictures attributed to Whitney Houston's untimely death D:. Oh lord lol
  19. I just want to mention that I have the exact same gfx card in my laptop and have no problems running on HD w/ AA on x4. So I'm not really sure that the issue is entirely on Jagex's end.
  20. There's nothing to explore. Cash is king and it opens doors to places the common man can't access. Coupled with being celebrity, and you sadly have a get-out-of-jail-free card for most offenses.
  21. Bug rolls off the tongue and is more easily understood than "stupid, absolutely horrendous design oversight" Pretty much, i guess. But calling it a bug leads to calling people bug-abusers (which is not, and which they aren't) and people get offended/annoyed because of this kind of stupidity. Well that's sort of because Jagex has railed against their player base a time or two saying that if we know there are activities that are obviously not supposed to work that way, that we shouldn't use them and instead report them. Etc etc. So if they want to take the moral highground, they'll finger wag at the people who use this feature until it's patched saying, "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT BLAH BLAH RULES BLAH BLAH JAGEX BLAH BLAH REPORTED"
  22. She never got her voice back after her battles with addiction, but she kept trying and she had my respect for that alone. It's sad to see her pass away.
