  1. Then I will surely die by day's end. I expect a lavish funeral.
  2. W-wait, you wanted people to...reveal themselves to you!? Lordy!
  3. is the halloween event worth doing?
  4. You'll be happy to hear this, Grimy_Bunyip just transcribed this bit from one of the runefest vids:
  5. I see it as a good thing as well. Though, it's less like 'becoming wow-like' and more 'evolving into the average rpg in 2011' It seems for the next decade, they're really set on making RuneScape almost unrecognizable from it's previous versions to grab another generation to milk.
  6. I'm very upset to hear about the victory of the RC'ing minigame...since it essentially is what they would have done sooner or later. The other 4 updates were very much off-the-update-schedule sort of thing and far more promising. It feels like they sort of took a slightly easier way out. Maybe they're trying to make up for development time lost on the clusterfutter project? Admittedly I pulled that explanation out of my ass--I have no idea, but either way I'm slightly miffed. No doubt the content will still be great, just...ugh haha.
  7. Are you sure? I'm fairly certain that although a list of content DOES come up for "View my Content", it does not properly update. For example, the list generated is old and it's not updating ALL my content, yet what already existed on that list does display new posts.
  8. Can you list that mod name that you removed? Maybe then while you're working on more important things I can ask around on minecraftforum.net or gamefaqs if anyone knows how to make those less invasive.
  9. I saw this on imgur and it summed up my feelings entirely. Had to mspaint out some profanity, though. [hide][/hide]
  10. Are there still server mods being shuffled around? No rush--I just ask because I see that /back isn't working properly. I know you got rid of some mods, so I was curious. I noticed that I was mining close to the surface and hit iron ore, which threw a server notice to me saying I was listed as using the client mod 'X-Ray'? Should I be worried about that?
  11. I have two gowns, a few black dresses, 4 pairs of jeans and maybe 12 different shirts? Some old purses that I don't really use anymore, dress shoes to go with the dresses I have, a suit, and an old computer tower that I need to gut and sell that I got from a friend.
  12. I thought everyone did? Guess I'm part of the exception that does pay my bills on time every month. In this day and age, yeah, you can be. :P
  13. This has sadly and swiftly gone from discussing articles and their contents to borderline attacking author or user's writing or posting styles. These guidelines that are in the very first post apply to users, moderators, admins, EP'ers, TET Leaders, Crewbies--everyone. Everyone is expected to abide by them, as well as our forum rules. This sly and sneaky passive-aggressive debate style has slowly snuck back into the discussion threads for the past few weeks. This is not acceptable. I'm going to give everyone one last opportunity to re-read this: [hide=Read these rules before posting in this thread] [/hide] ...and try to keep things on track. If we all can't exercise self restraint and rein it back on-topic together, moderators will essentially be forced to butcher discussion by deleting posts and editing out personal attacks, which will kill a weekly topic like this. It's not something we want to do, seriously. You can PM me if you have any questions, but I will be forced to remove further off-topic posts if this continues. Please don't let it get to that point. Thanks EDIT: Continuing previous off-topic discussion will not help the situation; please don't do it.
  14. It'd be great if IPB would make a feature like this. But in case the tech admins are too busy to tackle a project like this, you can use this firefox add-on in the meantime: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lazarus-form-recovery/
  15. http://forum.tip.it/topic/277517-moderator-spotlight That's about it really. We keep record of bad/removed posts and contact the user if required. Requirement depends upon the severity of the offense, the user's history, how often it has happened, all that 'fun' stuff. And just like the spotlight said, if regular/global mods need to request bans, we have to ask Supers/Admins to not only do it but also to check the situation out fully and see if it really is necessary--that's another check and balance measure that we use to try to keep quality up.
  16. From my POV as a mod, it's a mark of progress if the same mistake is not repeated in a user's history multiple times. That shows, either by freak accident (less likely) or personal growth (more likely), that the individual has changed. In most cases a person who breaks the rules, say, in 2007 will have very little bearing in the here-and-now. The only time that I could think of that old offenses, for the sake of consistency let's say 2yrs ago like you suggested, would be taken into account is to show a pattern of offenses and personal growth. And changing this policy is not up to me or any single moderator, but the administration. It'd be interesting to hear it from a user's perspective. But no one should fret thinking that someone they trolled when they were younger would make their second offense 2 yrs later 10x harsher.
  17. DUDE... I hate cave spiders. I can hardly kill them at all. I don't seem to get poisoned while wearing iron armor, thankfully, but DAAAAAMN.
  18. If the griefer is gone, I would expect things to get better by a damn lot. But I can understand, it's like an itch when I hear people whining or simply not following the simple rule of common courtesy...But that's why I built outside of the village l0l.
  19. Everyone else is having a good time on the server. The 'bullshit' you're talking about seems to be isolated to just you. If you care so much about these issues, why didn't you post about them on the diamondseekers forum?
  20. Kimberly replied to Vroqren's topic in Rants
    I don't see how that's Jagex's fault though :/
  21. Found a double zombie spawner connected by a mineshaft. Got some gunpowder and cocobeans, whee :D EDIT: Ughhh, I thought surrounding a spawner with torches would stop them from throwing mobs, but they just keep coming. I had to actually destroy the spawners >_>
  22. Well then you don't have to use the commands.
  23. I THINK YOU SHOULD RESUBSCRIBE NOW SO WE CAN REINACT THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS RE-ENACT IT'S NOT AN "I" KIM
